Second hour: Investigative reports: Interview with Jay Blackwood about Ukraine, which has a history of conflict: new Bristol Ukraine anti-fascist solidarity campaign. The Maidan ‘revolution’ or ‘coup’ of Saturday February 22nd 2014 and para-militaries seizing power; fascist parties Pravy Sektor and Svoboda; now National Security Chief Andriy Parubiy key figure behind Maidan protest security team then Kiev and Odessa attacks; Odessa massacre of Friday 2nd May 2014; media coverage; US interests; NATO exercises.  D-Day is being commemorated today. The Dieppe ‘mini D Day’ in 1942 which was a disaster for the Canadians, we look at the post D Day deals done with the Nazis before the end of the war for material such as Uranium 235 and Plutonium. The Red House Meeting of Thursday August 10th 1944 where Nazi industrialists prepared for after the war; Interview with Tim Saunders, former Army Officer, military historian, and author of ‘Nijmegen’ – he discusses the battle at Nijmegen in WW2, part of the failed Market Garden operation in September 1944 where Holland was being liberated from Nazi rule.

Property rights to be removed to allow Fracking below peoples’ homes – fracking generally, water contamination, earthquakes, the economics of fracking, fracking bubble; housing bubble – London properties up by £10,000 in a month, half a million could face eviction, council housing, functional planning system, UKIP, immigration and housing; local elections – UKIP gain 140 seats, Labour gains seats but could have done better; economics – £100bn of QE, the pros and cons of QE, banking fraud, 1930s gold standard; young man kills himself because didn’t want to go on benefits after failing to get job – benefit sanctions, insecure part time work; Theresa May says public funding will be cut from Police Federation – crime falling?
