They are angry that Theresa May prevented the ISC from questioning junior and middle-ranking MI6 and MI5 officers, which Grieve said had hampered his committee’s inquiry. The shadow attorney general, Shami Chakrabarti, said: “It is now clear from the published reports that the intelligence and security committee was denied access to individuals, severely limiting its ability to give as comprehensive a resolution to this scandal as it would have liked. “Its criticisms of ongoing inadequacies on guidance relating to torture and rendition also makes a judge-led inquiry – that the government is so keen to avoid – inescapable.”

Secret order on authorised criminality by spies made public after legal battle by rights groups – @JamieGrierson Fri 2 Mar 2018 MI5 agents are allowed to carry out criminal activity in the UK, the government has acknowledged for the first time. The prime minister was on Thursday forced to publish the text of a direction to the Investigatory Powers Commissioner’s Office, the spying watchdog, on governing “security service participation in criminality”. It instructs the IPCO to oversee the participation of MI5 agents in criminal activity, which was previously conducted by the now-defunct office of the Intelligence Services Commissioner, under a secret order referred to as the “third direction”. However, guidance about when British spies can commit crimes, and how far they can go, remains confidential. The commissioner, Lord Justice Sir Adrian Fulford, said: “I welcome the government’s decision to make public my oversight of this sensitive area of work.” The order was published after a legal battle by the human rights groups Reprieve and Privacy International. Fintan O’Toole: Trial runs for fascism are in full flow in the NATO countries. Kennedy’s Assassin Have Been ‘Hypno-Programmed’? ‘AMERICAN MADE’ LIES, SEX, & VIDEOTAPE BY DANIEL HOPSICKER · It’s hard to credit anything about a movie whose ruthless Medellin Cartel Drug Lords wear powder-blue leisure suits. Still, when a “based on a true story” movie spreads egregious falsehoods about a man who will someday be of vital interest to future historians,  attention must be paid. Alan Sabrosky, former head of studies at the US army war college: Alan SabroskyThe Impact of Zionist Influence in the U.S. Alan Sabrosky examines the process by which Zionists acting on behalf of Israel have gained significant control of the United States and its government. Starting gradually in the 1950s, Zionists now hold a commanding influence in such sectors as finance, business, media (online and offline), the academy, the arts, and most obviously, politics. Through funding and other tactics, they effectively control both houses of Congress, leverage the Executive branch, and exert strong influence in nearly two dozen state governments. Regardless of what one thinks of 9/11, neocons (overwhelmingly “Israel Firster” Zionists) are the driving force behind the 9/11 wars.

What treasury should do with banks in a crash – Prof. Steve Keen
1. Deposits should be unconditionally guaranteed. The notion that depositors are “Investing” in their bank is nonsense.
2. The shareholders and bond holders of the bank should be on the line first to back depositors. If they lose everything, then tough: they are Investing, and risks are part of the business.
3. The bank should be nationalised with no recompense to shareholders or bondholders, pending restructuring and later resale; bank staff bonuses frozen, top management sacked. There has to be pain for failure.

First hour: news review: with Green councillor for Redland Fi Hance. Our scenario of a simulated ‘government announcement’ how we could close tax havens – nationalise banking infrastructure – economic crash, Q.E. increasing asset prices, Carillion going bust, £30 trillion in mainly British tax havens; Universal Credit ‘could cost more than current benefits system’ according to National Audit Office – just gratuitous cruelty to poor people – delays to payment; Steve Keen, economist – his principles for change to economic system; PMQs poverty and benefits – disabled refused benefits – ATOS failures; PMQs fiasco with trains – Charles Haughton, head of Thames Link, resigned; Metrobus – revolving doors, Carillion Finance Director becomes First Group director; PMQs Corbyn – Grenfell Tower – one year on – should there be prosecutions? Jeremy Corbyn asked PMQ about three topics in one: Grenfell Tower first anniversary; Trump and N.Korea; Brexit – what we’re losing; Bristol Arena in Filton just a ridiculous report by KPMG on whether to have at Temple Meads or in Filton; SpyCops trial – undercover police fathering children – campaign by Lush shops against undercover cops – National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO) force Lush to stop anti-spycop campaign. Man who discovered he was fathered by an undercover policeman reveals he supports Lush’s controversial ‘spy cops’ ad campaign: Unnamed man was a core participant in an inquiry into undercover police tactics. He praised Lush which put photos of officers with ‘Paid to lie’ in shop windows. He says his mother was duped into a relationship with an officer who posed as an animal rights activist .

Commons Early Day Motion: CONDEMNATION OF THE MASSACRE OF PALESTINIAN PROTESTORS ALONG THE GAZA FENCE

That this House calls on the Government to unequivocally condemn the massacre of Palestinian protesters along the Gaza border fence which has led to the deaths of at least 62 unarmed civilians and the injuring of thousands more, including 1,359 with gunshot injuries admitted to hospitals in a single day on Monday 14 May 2018; demands that the Government reaffirm the rights of protected persons under belligerent occupation and insist on an independent investigation into the unlawful use of live ammunition against protesters as well as outlining actions and sanctions should such an investigation not take place; asks the Foreign Office to summon the Israeli Ambassador for an explanation into the massacre and reiterate that lethal force is an option of last resort in circumstances where there is an imminent threat to life; believes that the path to peace and a two state solution is being undermined by the Israeli Government which has deliberately engineered a humanitarian crisis in Gaza through the decade-long blockade, has taken provocative action with the relocation of the US Embassy in Jerusalem, has proactively undermined a viable Palestinian State through settlement building as well as violating the 4th Geneva Convention through the use of lethal force against civilians protesting for their right to return to their homes, including a Canadian doctor who was clearly identified and journalists covering the scene; and asks the Government to follow up that strong condemnation with tangible actions to prohibit further attacks on civilian protesters.

This year’s Bilderberg summit is a council of war. On the agenda: Russia and Iran. In the conference room: the secretary general of Nato, the German defence minister, and the director of the French foreign intelligence service, DGSE. They are joined in Turin, Italy, by a slew of academic strategists and military theorists, but for those countries in geopolitical hotspots there is nothing theoretical about these talks. Not when the prime ministers of Estonia and Serbia are discussing Russia, or Turkey’s deputy PM is talking about Iran. The clearest indication that some sort of US-led conflict is on the cards is the presence of the Pentagon’s top war-gamer, James H Baker. He is an expert in military trends, and no trend is more trendy in the world of battle strategy than artificial intelligence. Bilderberg is devoting a whole session to AI this year – and has invited military theorist Michael C Horowitz, who has written extensively on its likely impact on the future of war.
