Uber and rapes Cameron pushing Uber Mayor Marvin and development deals in Bristol.  Blue Hackney taxi drivers in Bristol are renewing their battle against Bristol City Council over everything from claims of institutional racism to allegations the council are trying to put them out of business. The drivers of Bristol’s blue cabs are planning to take to the streets in a co-ordinated protest drive at some point in January. The last time they did that action, in the spring of 2017, the drivers drove deliberately slowly in convoy around the Temple Circus Gyratory during the morning rush hour, and it was enough to create gridlock for hours in much of the city centre. Now, the organisers of the protests have apologised in advance to the people of Bristol for whatever disruption they are going to cause in January, and pleaded with the public to understand their reasons and support them in their campaign.

James Adlington, owner of Bristol Blue Glass, discusses a disagreement with Mayor Marvin at a business promotion event at the Aerospace Museum, and how since then, his appeals for a business space in central Bristol have been ignored. New Police Unit spying on protesters – Canary – Leaked briefing provides a snapshot of a new police unit thats spying on protesters – An internal police briefing leaked online provides a snapshot into the workings of a new intelligence unit. The role of this unit is to spy on protesters across the UK. Its a division of the National Police Coordination Centre (NPoCC). And its work appears to be very similar to that of an earlier unit, the officers of which were subsequently dubbed spycops. – The briefing document states that the author is NPoCC Strategic Intelligence & Briefing (SIB).- And the document prefaces that: This report is solely for the use of approved named individuals on NPoCCs audited distribution list. According to Netpol, which seeks to monitor public order, protest and street policing, NPoCC-SIB should be seen as a new spycops unit. Netpols comments came after the publication of a March 2021 report by HM Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) that stated: Since the late 1990s, the police have made various arrangements for managing protest-related intelligence nationally. In recent years, this has fallen under the remit of Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP). In January 2020, the NPCC decided to reallocate responsibilities. Low-level aggravated activism intelligence was transferred to the National Police Coordination Centre (NPoCC).

Neil Basu, Assistant Commissioner for Met Police, top anti-terror cop in Britain, calls for new law to outlaw anti vaxxers – is this his responsibility? Neil Basu should stick to the day job – The counter-terrorism chief wants new laws to censor anti-vaxxers. What on earth has this got to do with him? Assistant commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Neil Basu has called for a debate on whether to introduce new laws to punish those who spread anti-vaccination conspiracy theories. In this, Basu follows concerns raised by the Labour Partys shadow health spokesman, Jon Ashworth, and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer. However, in suggesting the need for legislation and the criminalisation of anti-vaccination activists, Basu, a public official, appears to be running ahead of the politicians. There are several points to make about Neil Basus prominence in this debate. The first is to ask whether he should be there at all. Basu is a senior police officer whose primary focus is counter-terrorism. It is not clear why debates surrounding the political and medical response to a pandemic is any of his business. A second issue is how Basu found the time for this intervention not least when the authorities have repeatedly stressed the scale of the terrorist threat facing Britain. After the jihadist outrages of 2017, there were believed to be some 3,000 terror suspects under active investigation in the UK and 20,000 who had been of interest in the past. This year that latter figure was raised to 40,000. Recent terror attacks in France and Austria serve as a further reminder that the threat from Islamist terrorism has not gone away.

Former UN WHO nurse Dr Judith Brown on why she believes India is having a surge in Covid cases. We are now deluged by the mainstream media, the Ministry of Truth leading the charge, with daily updates on the COVID-19 figures from India: infections; hospitalisations; and deaths. It is even better that many Indians are cremated and not buried. Thus, we are treated to lines of shrouded bodies awaiting their turn on the bonfire. A sight that would frighten even the most resilient. It is hard to escape the conclusion that this is being done to prepare us for continued or reintroduced lockdowns. We are provided with daily estimates of the death rates. If they are accurate then the figures are staggering but a reality check will tell anyone that the size of the population of India is also staggering: 1.366 billion compared with 66.65 million in the UK. If the number of deaths in India is contextualised, they are getting off lightly compared with the UK. Our peak daily deaths allegedly due to COVID-19 were just under 2000. A comparable number in India would be over 50,000 yet we are seeing fewer than 3000 deaths daily. But the mainstream media report this as if it were Armageddon.

Field Marshal Montgomery’s concept behind MARKET-GARDEN was a sound one, to obtain a bridgehead over the Lower Rhine would have seeded panic in German defences and supply lines, and by directly threatening Germany’s industrial heartland, likely brought the war to a speedy conclusion. However, several enormous operational errors, which in light of more recent events may be considered sabotage, diverted field officers and the overall operation from the original plan. The Traitors Of Arnhem takes the reader through the solid evidence that the Battle of Arnhem, Operation Market Garden, was ‘thrown’, deliberately, by senior British commanders, in order to buy the Nazis time to complete financial deals with the Allies that had been in train at least since a secret meeting, revealed here, since the previous month. On the military, political and financial trail we follow the cover-up of the subsequent snatching by Royal Navy commandos in the last days of the war, of British agent and Adolf Hitler’s private secretary Martin Bormann, Alongside other Allied/Nazi deals too, such as the smuggling by submarine of enriched Uranium from the Nazi stores to be incorporated into the Manhattan Project, evidence of which has only emerged in the final decade of the twentieth century. The culprits are identified for eleven operational ‘mistakes’, all of which decreased Market Garden’s chances of succeeding. Nevertheless, due to the ferocious courage of PIR 504 of the US 82nd Airborne division the operation nearly succeeded and had to be very obviously, deliberately scuppered in what must be one of the most treacherous decisions in military history.

The CIA Used to Infiltrate the Media. Now the CIA *is* the Media – Operation Mockingbird – Caitlin Johnstone – In totalitarian dictatorships, the government spy agency tells the news media what stories to run, and the news media unquestioningly publish it. In free democracies, the government spy agency says “Hoo buddy, have I got a scoop for you!” and the news media unquestioningly publish it. In 1977 Carl Bernstein published an article titled “The CIA and the Media” reporting that the CIA had covertly infiltrated America’s most influential news outlets and had over 400 reporters who it considered assets in a program known as Operation Mockingbird. It was a major scandal, and rightly so. The news media is meant to report truthfully about what happens in the world, not manipulate public perception to suit the agendas of spooks and warmongers. Nowadays the CIA collaboration happens right out in the open, and people are too propagandized to even recognize this as scandalous. Immensely influential outlets like The New York Times uncritically pass on CIA disinfo which is then spun as fact by cable news pundits. The sole owner of The Washington Post is a CIA contractor, and WaPo has never once disclosed this conflict of interest when reporting on US intelligence agencies per standard journalistic protocol. Mass media outlets now openly employ intelligence agency veterans like John Brennan, James Clapper, Chuck Rosenberg, Michael Hayden, Frank Figliuzzi, Fran Townsend, Stephen Hall, Samantha Vinograd, Andrew McCabe, Josh Campbell, Asha Rangappa, Phil Mudd, James Gagliano, Jeremy Bash, Susan Hennessey, Ned Price and Rick Francona, as are known CIA assets like NBC’s Ken Dilanian, as are CIA interns like Anderson Cooper and CIA applicants like Tucker Carlson.

Bristol City Council elections 2021: Oyster-style “Brunel” travel card promised by Lib Dems – Manifesto includes millions of new trees, velodrome plans and tidal power generator – An Oyster-style Brunel Card public transport system would be introduced by the Lib Dems if they win control of Bristol City Council at the local elections on May 6.  Reduced bus fares for under-25s, street lamps that dim automatically to save energy, opposing Bristol Airports expansion, continuing to support a city centre arena and scrapping the citys mayor are all among the pledges in the partys manifesto.  A referendum on the council leadership model would be held, with the party campaigning for the role of Bristol’s elected mayor to be abolished. Neighbourhood partnerships, scrapped by Labour mayor Marvin Rees, would be reestablished as a precursor to new neighbourhood councils with parish council legal status where communities want them. The group is also promising to plant 10 million trees over the next 20 years, build a tidal power generator, switch all taxis and private hire vehicles away from diesel and petrol before 2030, attract funding for a velodrome and promote drug consumption rooms, which are currently illegal. Its manifesto, launched at College Green on Thursday, April 15, is anchored on three broad themes sustainability, better services and better governance. Among the more eye-catching policies are voting for a London-style bus franchise system at the West of England Combined Authority, a young persons bus pass, lower fares for all and the Brunel travel card “smart ticketing” for passengers to hop between different modes of transport in Bristol. The party supports new simplified resident parking zones (RPZs) with limited hours and greater flexibility for householders, rather than the blanket 9am to 5pm scheme, and a workplace parking levy to fund public transport, reduce congestion and combat air pollution.

Bristol Waste is useless – ‘Ignored’ neighbourhood plagued by ‘reeking’ meat, rats and flytipping hell Council and waste contractor ‘Bristol Waste’ accused of ‘institutional racism’ Residents told Bristol Live flytipping has been rife since communal bins were introduced in the area in 2010, replacing individual wheelie and recycling bins. Hotspots include Hepburn Road, Surrey Street, Brigstocke Road, Argyle Road, Drummond Road, Badminton Road, Albany Road and Gwyn Street, they say. Flytipping on Albany Road from July 2020 Mr Chard says the move to a communal bin on each street has created hotspots around each of those bins. The 36-year-old IT consultant added: “I live at the corner of Brigstocke Road and Gwyn Street. It has become a focal point for all activity. “Initially, when the council wanted to put a skip bin outside my kitchen window, I got in touch with them and said it would cause public health issues here. “They said, ‘It’s a public highway, we can do what we want.’ “There has never been anything in place to wash these bins out. They stink.” Mr Chard says a stack of car tyres, a freezer, bags of rubbish and a bookcase were dumped outside his home earlier this month. He claims it built up for two weeks before the council collected it. “The binmen are supposed to monitor for waste beside the bins, and if there’s any they should raise a ticket with flytipping crews to clear it up,” he said. “Quite evidently, that process is broken.

Piers Corbyn denies Covid breach after lockdown protest in Bristol = The brother of former Labour leader Jeremy denies the charge along with three co-defendants London Mayor candidate Piers Corbyn and three others appeared in court today accused of involvement in an illegal Bristol protest. Corbyn – the elder brother of former Labour leader Jeremy – pleaded not guilty to participating in a gathering of more than two people on November 14 last year. The weather forecaster allegedly took part in a Stand Up Bristol demonstration which saw around 400 people gather on College Green against the coronavirus lockdown, at a time when protests were not legal. Not guilty pleas were entered for all four defendants who appeared together at Bristol Magistrates’ Court today (April 22): Piers Corbyn, 74, of East Street in Southwark Angus Lancaster, 43, of Cowslip Crescent in Emersons Green Jonathan Trapman, 71, of Fairfield Gardens in Glastonbury Nathan Robinson, 50, of Turnbridge Road in Brentry Piers Corbyn, brother of former Labour leader Jeremy, appears at Bristol Magistrates’ Court (Image: Conor Gogarty) Corbyn arrived at court in a cream Volkswagen. He was slightly late, which he attributed to a Sat Nav problem. He entered the courtroom carrying a Lidl bag full of documents. When the judge asked the defendants if they had read the police statements, Corbyn replied: “Wait a minute – we’re waiting for our friends to come in because each of us were told we could have one supporter.” Judge Matthews informed Corbyn that Covid safety measures mean a limit on how many people can be in the courtroom. Corbyn said: “Madam, do you have control of this court? Surely you could implement natural justice and say people can be allowed in.”

PMQs Kier Starmer – Boris taking calls from Dyson about ventilators. ‘You have let the country down!’ The Raven pub landlord in Bath has a go at Blairite Labour Leader Kier Starmer for not doing his job opposing the government. The pub landlord that gave Keir Starmer both barrels on Monday accused the Labour leader to his face of failing. Starmer failed all right. He failed to respond to Rod Humphris’ verbal assault properly. Humphris, co-owner of The Raven pub in Bath, first assailed Starmer in the street during a walkabout in the west country city. He claimed Labour had failed to ask the right questions on coronavirus. He waved some graphs around and insisted the economy had been sacrificed “because old people are dying”. Starmer chose not to engage. This is an improvement on previous Labour leadership figures meeting the public. Tony Blair was famously ambushed by Sharon Storer for his failings on the NHS, John Prescott punched a man and Gordon Brown called an old lady a bigot. Better to stay schtum than get in the that sort of hot water. Instead, Labour responded on Twitter with a link to a voter registration page and an insistence that any further response would be to spread the disinformation Humphris was spouting.

Bristol Energy and Bristol Waste failure – public services vs private companies. Further £15 million of public money ‘lost’ to Bristol Energy Bristol Energy lost another £14.8million last year, latest financial data shows. Now a public interest report is being sought to find out what went wrong. Bristol City Council established Bristol Energy in 2015 to provide affordable energy for residents while returning a profit for the local authority. The company failed to turn a profit despite up to £37.5 million of council investment, and the local authority finally admitted defeat last year, breaking up and selling the company for a total of £15.3 million. But Bristol Energy lost another £14.8 million last year, latest financial data shows. The details of the losses were revealed in the failed company’s final annual report published on Sunday (10 January) The council has asked its external auditor Grant Thornton for a public interest report into the matter, to find out what went wrong and the exact extent of the losses for taxpayers. Against the backdrop of the spreading fear about a global coronavirus pandemic, an event has slipped largely under the radar at a spot so removed from the rest of the world that most are unaware of its existence. The Svalbard “Doomsday” Seed Vault on Spitsbergen Island north of the Arctic Circle just received an additional major shipment of plant variety seeds for its special storage. What makes this entire seed bank enterprise suspicious at the very least is the list of financial sponsors behind the global project. On February 25 more than 60,000 new seed varieties were placed in the Svalbard vault, the largest deposit of seeds since it opened. This brings the total of seed types to over one million since the vault was first opened for deposits in early 2008. The latest seed deposits include onions from Brazil, guar beans from central Asia, corn seeds sacred to the Cherokee nation and wildflowers from a meadow at Prince Charles’s home in the UK (sic). The Svalbard vault is on the island that is legally part of Norway since a 1925 treaty. The Norwegian government put up much of the money for the construction of the facility whose backers declared it was able to withstand a nuclear bomb blast. The only problem was planners did not make the structure, built into a mountain side, waterproof and the entrance flooded amid heavy rains in 2016, necessitating a major € 20 million of repairs and upgrade which were just completed, some four years later. Notably, as Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg pointed out during the recent seed-greeting ceremony, the year 2020 is slated as the year by which countries should have safeguarded genetic diversity of crops to meet the UN goal of “eliminating hunger by 2030.” The year 2030 is when the UN IPCC predicts catastrophic climate change barring a radical action from the world, as well as the key benchmark year for the UN’s Malthusian Agenda2030. The publicly-stated argument for the major seed bank project is supposedly as a safe backup for the numerous national seed bank collections in event they are destroyed in war as in Syria or Iraq, or by natural disaster or other calamity. The Svalbard vault has been called the “Noah’s ark of seeds,” there should a “global catastrophe” occur, to allow a theoretical restart to world agriculture. OK. Interesting. Who would decide how to distribute those seeds in event of such a catastrophe is not addressed. What is notable is the list of those backing this highly unusual public-private partnership. Crop Trust? The seed bank and acquisition of the seeds is managed by an entity known as the Crop Trust, officially known as the Global Crop Diversity Trust, now based in Bonn, Germany. On its website Crop Trust makes the modest claim that their “sole mission is to ensure humanity conserves and makes available the world’s crop diversity for future food security.” It has an impressive list of financial sponsors which it calls the Donors’ Council. Among the most eye-catching they name Bayer Crop Science, which now incorporates Monsanto; DuPont Pioneer Hi-Bred; Syngenta AG, now owned by ChemChina. These are the world’s largest purveyors of GMO patented seeds and the paired agrichemicals such as Roundup with glyphosate. China’s now state-owned Syngenta is the world’s largest supplier of crop chemicals.

I hope you understand, because entering a page is exhausting, takes a long time, because of all the corrections that I have to make. My priority now is therapy and disability reduction. There are many famous people who have been diagnosed with Parkinsons and one has suffered from it for 30 years, the actor from “Back To The Future” Michael J. Fox (59). It started with him when he was 29 years old, not like me as a 68-year-old “old man”. He had to limit his acting career more and more and give up completely in 2020. He has done a lot for his fellow sufferers by setting up a foundation that researches positive results to cure Parkinson’s and collects donations for it.

Personal insults against Putin and Xi are an expression of American impotence, especially when we consider that the U.S. historically did not engage in this kind of rhetoric when it was at the zenith of its power. The U.S. is no longer the world’s sole superpower and its rivals are no longer accepting such aggression, which is exactly why the Chinese delegation that went to Alaska last month clearly stated that it does not accept any language of force. There are indications that the most important European countries will resist U.S. demands. This is evidenced by the Nord Stream 2 issue where American attempts to prevent its construction are being met with resistance from important European Union countries despite the endless complaints from minnows like Lithuania and Poland. Robert Gates, former director of the CIA and U.S. Secretary of Defense, admitted in a recent interview with the Washington Post that sanctions against Russia do not any good for the U.S. In The National Interest, Robert Kaplan describes Russia as a “problem from hell” because it cannot be subdued. Kaplan offered reasons why it is necessary for Russia to “move away from its one-sided alliance with China” and find balance with the U.S.

All three hated both Kennedy brothers, actually their very existence was threatened by the Kennedy’s. It has now been documented that they worked closely together with the CIA. They are exactly the men who assisted the CIA in the plots to assassinate Fidel Castro. That has all become public in the seventies during the investigations on intelligence and assassinations. You can only guess what we don’t know yet. The brother of Giancana has written a bestseller biography on him. Giancana explains perfectly how his organization and the CIA were “two sides of the same coin”. He says “I have done more deals with the CIA than I have time to tell you”. By the way, in that book he also says that Marcello had sent Charles Harrelson to Dealey Plaza.

4.7 million on waiting lists for NHS due to Covid 19 restrictions. 4.7 million waiting for operations in England Around 4.7 million people were waiting for routine operations and procedures in England in February – the most since 2007, NHS England figures show. Nearly 388,000 people were waiting more than a year for non-urgent surgery compared with just 1,600 before the pandemic began. During January and February, the pressure on hospitals caused by Covid-19 was particularly acute. NHS England said two million operations took place despite the winter peak. However, surgeons said hospitals were still under huge pressure due to the second wave of Covid, which had led to “a year of uncertainty, pain and isolation” for patients waiting for planned treatment. Speaking on a visit to Dartmouth, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the government would “make sure that we give the NHS all the funding that it needs… to beat the backlog”. He said the situation had been “made worse by Covid”, and added: “We do need people to take up their appointments and to get the treatment that they need.” NHS England recently announced that a £1bn fund would be used to help trusts restore operations and other services to get as many people treated as possible. Professor Stephen Powis, national medical director for the NHS in England, said treating 400,000 patients with Covid-19 over the course of the last year had “inevitably had an impact on the NHS”.

Lockdowns don’t work – The Science is Settled. Lockdowns are More Deadly Than the Virus and Masks Don’t Work. A deadly combination of exponentially increased suicides, drug overdose, homicide, alcohol consumption, calorie consumption, delayed cancer screenings, spousal abuse, tuberculosis, and more is occurring. Researchers conclude this combination will outweigh deaths from COVID by multiples. Data show very clearly that lockdowns have not only been completely ineffective, but they have been potentially as much as ten times more deadly than the coronavirus itself. According to the UN there are 10,000 additional children dying a month during the lockdowns, and 550,000 additional children suffering malnutrition. There will also be 1.4 million additional people to die from untreated TB. Almost 7,000 scientists, virologists, and infectious disease experts recently signed a declaration against lockdown measures, urging that citizens across the west should be able to get on with their lives as normal, and that lockdown rules in both the United States and the UK are causing “irreparable damage.” Oxford University professor Dr. Sunetra Gupta was one of the authors of the open letter that was sent with the petition, along with Harvard University’s Dr. Martin Kulldorff and Stanford’s Dr. Jay Bhattacharya. The declaration corresponds with other research that concludes lockdowns will “destroy at least seven times more years of human life” than they save. Other studies find that debilitating stress and anxiety caused by the lockdown, including despair caused by job loss, could lead to a myriad of negative health issues that will take a far greater overall toll on human life than the number of lives saved by the shutdown.

Schools under Tories.  THE COMPREHENSIVE FAILURE by Robert McCartney QC, chairman of the National Grammar School Association – All available evidence shows since the comprehensive system began, not only have academic standards fallen, but so has upward social mobility. Bilderberger Shirley Williams destroyed the grammar schools. While serving as education secretary between 1976 and 1979, Williams relentlessly pursued the comprehensive school system and the abolition of grammar schools. As her daughter Rebecca approached secondary school age, Williams moved into the catchment area of the state-subsidised Godolphin and Latymer School (which later became private in preference to becoming a comprehensive), allowing her daughter to gain a place there. Shirley Williams lost her seat in the 1979 general election due to her unpopularity. One study looked at the income progression of a sample of people born in 1958 with a similar group born in 1970. It concluded mobility fell markedly and that it was children from poorer homes who suffered disproportionately (London School of Economics April 2005). What the research demonstrates is that, in many cases, it is the affluence of the school’s catchment area rather than ability which is the determining factor of the school’s quality. Good schools and high house prices have reinforced each other, resulting in children from poorer families being excluded from good comprehensives. The LSE researchers found just 3% of children in the best-performing comprehensives were receiving free school meals as against a national average of 17%. They concluded academic selection had been replaced by social selection – exactly as it had been prior to the introduction of the qualifying selective system in the 1940s, which gave every child an equal opportunity on merit, not money. Minister Ruane’s policy of all children at age 11 going to their neighbourhood comprehensive would simply rob children from disadvantaged areas of the chance to go to a good school on merit. Under Northern Ireland’s selective system, 42% of students going to university are from lower income groups as compared to the 28% from similar groups in England’s comprehensive system.

BRILLIANT BBC2 Documentary Series on next two Wednesday Evenings Bent Coppers: Crossing The Line Of Duty: With insider interviews, evocative archive footage and secret recordings, the documentary reveals the story behind The Times’s investigation and shows how the public myth of incorruptibility protected the police for so long – The extent of police involvement in this morass of malfeasance had lain largely undiscovered until The Times newspaper published a whistle-blowing story in November 1969, triggered by a South London petty criminal called Michael Perry who was being blackmailed by a couple of Met detectives, DS Gordon Harris and Inspector Bernard Robson. Clandestine tape recordings of conversations between Perry and corrupt officers (many from a recorder hidden in a car boot) give the programme a frisson of immediacy – though the animated sequences illustrating this material were irritatingly feeble – while the factual details are still enough to boggle the mind. In Perry’s case, the cops conned him into thinking they had his fingerprints on a lump of gelignite, which they used as leverage over him. One of the most notorious of the Met’s bent cops was Detective John Symonds (not to be confused with DCS John Simmonds, pictured below, who worked to clean up the force). We hear Symonds matter-of-factly admitting that “I know people everywhere, because I’m in a little firm in a firm” (he’d charge 50 quid a session for giving villains the benefit of his insider knowledge). It seems the Met’s CID was its own hermetically-sealed criminal unit, with its officers forming a tightly-knit cadre of corruption. The police didn’t just want to take bungs from the criminals on their patch, they wanted to go into business with them and share the proceeds. Thus, we hear Symonds explaining how a criminal, if he played the game, would have carte blanche to commit crimes “round here any time”, and might even be able to call on a bit of police assistance if, for instance, he wanted to raid a pub. The police became so greedy that they ended up seizing the lion’s share of the illicit earnings.

In a major escalation with Moscow, the Biden administration announced on Thursday a series of sanctions against Russian individuals and entities. The White House also said it is expelling 10 Russian diplomats. In an announcement on the sanctions, the State Department said they were being taken in “response” to a series of alleged Russian actions that the US has never proved Moscow was responsible for. “Today, we announced actions to hold the Russian Government to account for the SolarWinds intrusion, reports of bounties on US soldiers in Afghanistan, and attempts to interfere in the 2020 US elections,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement. The claim that Russia paid bounties for US troops in Afghanistan has no basis and was even walked back by Biden administration officials on Thursday. The claim first appeared in a report from The New York Times last June, and since then, just about every US military leader said no intelligence corroborated the report.
