A reminder on #WorldPressFreedomDay that UK this year fell to 40th place in @pressfreedom indexhttps://t.co/OyJInsCIDi
The index measures ability of media to hold power to account. But how much lower UK would rank if it measured not only ability, but also willingness to do so— Charles Shoebridge (@ShoebridgeC) May 3, 2018

Great shows Tony ! Great commentary Martin ! I also enjoyed the first hour with Labour councillor Fabian Breckles . He sounds like a real labour guy. NOT a “new labour” Blairite fifth columnist .
Question : Could Labour form a coalition with the Liberal Democrats and Greens ? Could this negate the power of the Blair “new labour” party members ?
I would be grateful for answers from anyone . thank you . cheers !
there’s every chance of that after the next general election, as a result the Tories will be considering their ‘grassy knoll’ options.
If the Labour Party does not win outright at the next general election it will have to form a coalition (probably with the Scottish Nationalists). This may then lead to electoral reform. If the local election results are extrapolated that is what it looks like,
re Labour coalition possibilities
Thanks Tony and Martin . If only we had the coalition option in the states….sigh . It seems that it’s impossible for a third, fourth , etc party to gain seats in our congress(something like but not like your House of Commons) , Anyway , there is little difference between the democrats and republicans here now
