Over 70s and ‘at risk’ face coronavirus lockdown for year in ‘traffic light’ plan. Ministers told the Mirror that the elderly and vulnerable face having to stay at home until a vaccine is developed or so-called ‘herd immunity’ is achieved. The elderly and vulnerable could be shielded from coronavirus for weeks longer than the rest of the population under Government plans to ease the lockdown. The most “at risk” groups of people face having to stay at home until a vaccine is successfully developed or so-called ‘herd immunity’ is achieved which could take more than a year. Ministers told the Mirror that it was inevitable that the over-70s and those with underlying health conditions would have to be protected the longest.

Coronavirus: Social restrictions ‘to remain for rest of year’ – The UK will have to live with some disruptive social measures for at least the rest of the year, the government’s chief medical adviser has said. Prof Chris Whitty said it was “wholly unrealistic” to expect life would suddenly return to normal soon. He said “in the long run” the ideal way out would be via a “highly effective vaccine” or drugs to treat the disease. But he warned that the chance of having those within the next calendar year was “incredibly small”. “This disease is not going to be eradicated, it is not going to disappear,” he said, at the government’s daily coronavirus briefing. “So we have to accept that we are working with a disease that we are going to be with globally… for the foreseeable future.”

Thousands of unexplained extra deaths are happening per week during the Covid-19 outbreak. Why? Life-saving treatments cancelled, millions no longer trust the #NHS, knowing that once admitted, they may never be allowed to see a loved one again? Every week as the coronavirus outbreak continues, hundreds, and now thousands, more people are dying than we would normally expect in normal times. The death rate in the UK is now at its highest for more than 20 years, 75 per cent above the five-year average, according to the Office of National Statistics. But crucially, and fascinatingly to the scientific community, not all of these extra deaths are attributed to Covid-19. Of the nearly 8,000 extra deaths that took place in England and Wales in the week ending 10 April, only 6,200 were directly attributed to coronavirus, leaving nearly 2,000 extra, unexplained deaths…

Sweden Says Controversial Virus Strategy Proving Effective – Sweden’s unusual approach to fighting the coronavirus pandemic is starting to yield results, according to the country’s top epidemiologist. Anders Tegnell, the architect behind Sweden’s relatively relaxed response to Covid-19, told local media the latest figures on infection rates and fatalities indicate the situation is starting to stabilize. “We’re on a sort of plateau,” Tegnell told Swedish news agency TT. Sweden has left its schools, gyms, cafes, bars and restaurants open throughout the spread of the pandemic. Instead, the government has urged citizens to act responsibly and follow social distancing guidelines. The spread of Covid-19 across the globe is triggering different responses across national and even state borders, as authorities struggle to contain an outbreak about which much remains unknown. It’s unclear which strategy will ultimately prove most effective, and even experts in Sweden warn it’s too early to draw conclusions. But given the huge economic damage caused by strict lockdowns, the Swedish approach has drawn considerable interest around the world. Part of that approach relies on having access to one of the world’s best-functioning health-care systems. At no stage did Sweden see a real shortage of medical equipment or hospital capacity, and tents set up as emergency care facilities around the country have mostly remained empty…

UK Treasury Covid-19 Finances: Govt. borrowed extra £225 bn in last three weeks which is around 25% of annual; National Debt was £400bn before 2008, now about to top £2tn with annual interest payment of £15bn – Dark times [for the 99% – ed.]: The total being offered in emergency support, including loans and guarantees, is around £6.4trillion –  ‘The human cost of the pandemic has intensified at an alarming rate, and the impact on output and public finances is projected to be massive,’ the report said. Warning of the ‘worst economic downturn since the Great Depression’, IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva added: ‘Humanity is facing one of its darkest periods in living memory. Covid-19 is causing tragic loss of life; and the measures needed to fight it have turned our world upside down, affecting billions of people and stopping economies in their tracks.’ Rishi Sunak, the British Chancellor, along with his counterparts overseas, is embarking on vastly increased public spending to combat coronavirus at a time when the Treasury coffers are being depleted. Tax revenues are falling dramatically as the lockdown brings much of economic life to an emergency stop, meaning companies and individuals are paying less tax because profits and incomes are down. Our national debt stands at nearly £1.8trillion… 

Blackrock hedge fund takes central role in $500bn U.S. bailout: America’s Banks Can Simply Bail Themselves Out – Thanks to the Fed’s $27 Trillion Blackrock Deal – Mainstream media has been awfully quiet about all the fraud and manipulation stemming from the global bureaucracies’ newly enacted covid-19 reaction policies. In the U.S. amid all the commotion and fear, the Federal Reserve granted special powers to the giant private equity firm Blackrock. The arrangement has been criticized a great deal because Blackrock is now allowed to buy corporate bonds and commercial mortgages, with no oversight and continuously. Moreover, Blackrock can bail itself out and give funds to the many fossil fuel suppliers who are desperately seeking stimulus from the government. Unfortunately, politicians and central bankers worldwide have used the coronavirus outbreak as an excuse to print unlimited money for private financial institutions and shut down global economies. In the U.S., economists have stressed that the response to the covid-19 outbreak was the worst decision in “one-hundred years.”

Many of these survivor victims were close to death. “While it is vital that the families who lost loved ones remain at the heart of the inquiry, our clients believed their first-hand accounts of the security measures that were in place on the night and the response to the attack, would be key to the most thorough inquiry being held.

OTHER NEWS 2 – 10 Billionaires Gained $51 Billion This Week As Markets Edged Up From The Stock Crash – Amancio Ortega — of Spanish fast-fashion giant Inditex — gained the most, in both dollar and percentage terms. His net worth surged by $7.2 billion, to $64.8 billion, as Inditex stock rebounded by nearly 15.5% this week. (Shares are still down 20.4% from the beginning of the year.) Many Spanish stocks are edging upwards as the country’s COVID-19 death toll slows down. The IBEX 35, the index of the biggest publicly-traded companies in Spain, ended the week up 7.6%. Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest person, logged the second biggest increase. He gained $6.8 billion, bringing his net worth to $124.7 billion. Despite reports that Amazon may cancel Prime Day due to coronavirus, the company’s share price rose by 6.5% this week, as homebound customers are still flocking to the retail giant for groceries and other necessities. – The unemployment rate and the COVID-19 case count continue to soar, but the stock market is faring a bit better. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 both surged by more than 12% in the week ending April 9. (The markets closed on April 10 for Good Friday). Stocks made a notable jump on Thursday as the Federal Reserve announced $2.3 trillion in loans to support the economy. The market gains led to a combined $51.3 billion boost for 10 of the world’s billionaires since the market closed a week ago, on April 2.

OTHER NEWS 3 – Over 43,000 US millionaires will get Covid-19 ‘stimulus’ averaging $1.6 million each. At least 43,000 American millionaires who are too rich to get coronavirus stimulus checks are getting a far bigger boost — averaging $1.6 million each, according to a congressional committee. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act trumpeted its assistance for working families and small businesses, but it apparently contains an even bigger benefit for wealthy business owners, the committee found. The act allows pass-through businesses — ones taxed under individual income, rather than corporate — an unlimited amount of deductions against their non-business income, such as capital gains, the Washington Post said. They can also use losses to avoid paying taxes in other years. That gives the roughly 43,000 individual tax filers who make at least $1 million a year a savings of $70.3 billion — or about $1.6 million apiece, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation. Hedge-fund investors and real estate business owners are “far and away” the ones who will benefit the most, tax expert Steve Rosenthal told the Washington Post…

Mayor Marvin Rees says setting up Bristol Energy was ‘not sensible’ “But we have to be responsible with where we are and what we inherited” – Responding to an opposition member’s question, Mr Rees blamed previous Bristol City Council administrations for entering the consumer gas and electricity market but said: “We have to be responsible with where we are and what we inherited.” It comes after the council’s cabinet last month agreed behind closed doors to bring forward an unspecified amount of additional investment earmarked for further down the road, taking it closer to the £37.7million ceiling the local authority has set for the total amount of money it will pump into the firm…

Bristol mayor Marvin Rees compares criticism of himself by Local Democracy Reporter (LDR) Adam Postans to racist journalism around the murder of Stephen Lawrence. Today is the anniversary of the murder of Stephen Lawrence. Thinking of the Right Wing media around that “makes my blood boil. I had quite a few posh media types descend on me when I dared to criticise the poor quality of a journalist (Local Democracy Reporter Adam Postans who had written December 2019 in the Bristol Post about criticism of the mayor’s £9,000 (12.5%) pay rise), so this kind of self-righteousness of the profession rings large and a lack of self-awareness. I’ve always said that racism is about individual incidents, the murder of Stephen Lawrence…” Also complains of criticism of him through social media despite spending £90k of taxpayers money on trying to control it and suggests wealthy parents of ‘activists’ (referring to Bristol journalist Tony Gosling whose parents just paid for him to visit them in New Zealand?) should have that wealth taken off them, or ‘redistributed’.

US alerted Israel, NATO to disease outbreak in China in November — TV report. White House was reportedly not interested in the intel, but it was passed onto NATO, IDF; when it reached Israel’s Health Ministry, ‘nothing was done’. US intelligence agencies alerted Israel to the coronavirus outbreak in China already in November, Israeli television reported Thursday. According to Channel 12 news, the US intelligence community became aware of the emerging disease in Wuhan in the second week of that month and drew up a classified document. Information on the disease outbreak was not in the public domain at that stage — and was known only apparently to the Chinese government. US intelligence informed the Trump administration, “which did not deem it of interest,” but the report said the Americans also decided to update two allies with the classified document: NATO and Israel, specifically the IDF.

OTHER NEWS – World War 3: Donald Trump tells US navy to ‘shoot down and destroy’ Iranian gunboats – DONALD TRUMP has threatened to “shoot down and destroy” Iranian ships, in a sabre-rattling Tweet sure to escalate tensions in the Middle East. The US sent a warning to Iran, months after relations between the two states appeared to be spiralling towards all-out war. Mr Trump said on Twitter this lunchtime: “I have instructed the United States Navy to shoot down and destroy any and all Iranian gunboats if they harass our ships at sea.” Tensions have been threatening to boil over all week after US military chiefs accused Iran of “provocative” actions in the volatile waterway. Iran’s defence minister dismissed US reports of harassment by Iranian vessels as “baseless” and said the “illegal and aggressive” US presence in the Gulf was causing insecurity in the region. Brigadier General Amir Hatami said: “What leads to insecurity in the Persian Gulf region is actually the illegal and aggressive presence of the Americans who have come from the other end of the world to our borders and make such baseless claims…”

1986 US legislation made it impossible for injured patients to sue vaccine manufacturers. Who Does the U.S. 1986 Childhood Vaccine Injury Act Protect? Hint: It isn’t the kids… The laws of a country are, generally, designed to protect its citizens. How this ideal is interpreted is a topic of debate in various circles, but its goal is lofty, if not quite perfect. Of specific necessity are laws aimed at protecting children, including child abuse, welfare, and labor laws. Of zero necessity, in my view, is the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA), which sounds like it has the best interests of this nation’s young citizens in mind, but actually serves a much different purpose. The NCVIA does less to protect patients than it does drug companies making vaccines. When Reagan signed the NCVIA, he also created the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), which allows anyone—children and adults—who have suffered an injury (or worse) following a vaccination to file a claim. To date, it has paid out nearly $4 billion in compensation since 1988, including the 2008 case of Hannah Poling, whose family received more than $1.5 million in a landmark court award for a vaccine-autism claim. While this might sound like a good thing, one must read between the lines. The NCVIA also sets limits on the liability of vaccine manufacturers. They don’t have to pay a dime, in most cases, if someone is injured as a result of a product they make. Is there any other industry afforded such immunity? The pharmaceutical industry makes billions of dollars annually producing, promoting, and injecting a product that is known to injure people in myriad ways, and bears zero responsibility when a child—or an adult—suffers as a result.

Researchers have developed specialized proteins that they say may be able to combat the excessive immune response seen in some severe COVID-19 cases known as a “cytokine storm.” This is a phenomenon where the immune system produces an excess amount of immune cells that secrete messenger proteins known as cytokines. This overabundance of cytokines can lead to inflammation in the lungs, which in severe cases can prove fatal. Cytokine storms are seen in a variety of viral and bacterial infections, including hepatitis and HIV, as well as in patients receiving certain treatments, such as CAR-T therapy, which is used to attack cancer cells.

Trump talks about use of heat, sunlight and disinfectants as treatment for Coronavirus but doesn’t specifically say patients should be injected with a household disinfectant like Dettol as some media allege, instead implying disinfectant might be applied in the lungs.

The country has conducted twice as many tests as any other South American nation, but only 288 COVID-19 cases have been found, leading to only 10 deaths. Even before any cases were confirmed, President Maduro declared a health emergency, quickly closing public buildings like theatres and restaurants. His administration rapidly organized a huge online database where citizens could inform authorities of their symptoms. Medical professionals visited tens of thousands of people in their own homes, distributing test kits and advice. Maduro decreed the suspension of all rent and utility bills during the crisis, also banning the firing of workers.

Public-health officials add jet fuel to the surge by adding to their case and death tallies the large number of people who are only suspected – and not lab-test-confirmed – to have had an infection. Politicians and public-health officials tell the populace this means they cannot return to their jobs or other activities outside the home for the time being. Step 6 Large-scale human testing of many different types of antivirals and vaccines begins, thanks to a concerted push from the WHO, Bill Gates and his collaborators, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, governments and universities. Step 7 Soon the new virus starts another cycle around the globe – just as influenza and other viruses have every year for millennia. Officials again fan the flames of fear by positing the potential for millions of deaths among people not yet protected from the virus. They rapidly roll out virus and antibody testing again, while companies sell billions more doses of antivirals and booster vaccines. Governments simultaneously cede control of all remaining public assets to global companies. This is because local and national governments’ tax bases were decimated during Step 1 and they’re virtually bankrupt from their unprecedented spending in the war against the virus in the other steps.

Bear in mind that this number includes “probable” deaths as well as confirmed deaths from the coronavirus. So to sum this up, the per capita deaths in the U.S. from the coronavirus is lower than the per capita deaths from the flu in almost every year from 1950 to 2017. The highest number of deaths from the flu per capita was in 1960. Deaths that year was 53.7 per 100,000, well over three times as high as the coronavirus. These are the facts, not crazy media hype. Please check them out for yourself. Incidentally, the per capita death rate from what the hysterical media loves to call a, “global pandemic” is only 2.4 per 100,000…

Fake news media – CNBC – attempt to deflect legitimate criticism of Bill and Melinda Gates foundation by trivialising evidence against them: Bill Gates is the top target for coronavirus conspiracy theories – Bill Gates has been one of the most outspoken public figures about the coronavirus pandemic. But the billionaire philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder has also become a leading target of various conspiracies that have popped up around the spread of Covid-19.  Conspiracy theories falsely linking Gates to the coronavirus’ origins in some way or another were mentioned 1.2 million times on television or social media from February to April, according to an analysis by The New York Times and Zignal Labs, a media analytics company, released on Friday.
