Toxic Hostility: why Jeremy Corbyn failed – pro Israel forces, Brexit, the right of Labour Party. Forde report highlights racism, Islamophobia and ‘toxic positivity’ within Labour Party Damning report says antisemitism was treated as a ‘factional weapon’ by both supporters and opponents of Jeremy Corbyn in senior party positions July 2022 A damning report commissioned by the UK’s Labour Party into its own management practices has concluded that a “racist, sexist and otherwise discriminatory culture” is undermining its efforts to promote itself as being “in the vanguard on diversity and inclusion”. The long-delayed Forde Inquiry report, which was published on Tuesday, also found that allegations of antisemitism within the party were “treated as a factional weapon” by both officials in Labour’s party headquarters and in Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership office. The report said a factional conflict between the left and the right of the party had reached a level of intensity not seen prior to Corbyn’s leadership between 2015 and 2020, resulting in a “toxic mutual hostility”. The report was highly critical of the party’s management practices, recruitment policies and disciplinary procedures which it said were ill-equipped to deal with an increase in antisemitism complaints following a surge in party membership as Corbyn won the leadership. But it said these problems were “seriously compounded by factionalism”. Many of the issues came down, it said, to “poor communication and paranoia rather than bad faith actors”. The inquiry into the party, chaired by barrister Martin Forde, was commissioned by Keir Starmer, the current Labour leader, in April 2020 following the leaking of an internal Labour document that reviewed its handling of antisemitism complaints….

Call for evidence: the Labour Together Parliament Researchers PAUL HOLDEN and JESSICA MURRAY are calling for whistleblowers and documentary records to uncover how Labour Together helped build the parliamentary majority that now dominates the Labour Party SHADOW World Investigations (SWI) and Paul Holden, author of The Fraud: Keir Starmer, Morgan McSweeney and the Crisis of British Democracy, are today announcing a new investigative project about the transformation of the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) under the Labour Together Project. This long-germinating project is soliciting evidence about how Labour Party processes were used (and abused) to manipulate the selection of Labour MP candidates who now make up the majority of the PLP. Sir Keir Starmer was the frontman for a rotten political project that spent the best part of a decade remaking the Labour Party along rigidly factional and exclusionary lines. The most consequential transformation was of the Parliamentary Labour Party. Two thirds of the Labour MPs currently sitting in the House of Commons were selected through a process tightly controlled by Morgan McSweeney, reportedly with direct (albeit informal) input from Peter Mandelson. Labour Together, and its key donors, then spent over £2 million on getting this intake of MPs elected. The selection process that McSweeney oversaw was beset by allegations of misconduct and irregulaties so widespread that veteran journalist Michael Crick described it as “corruption.” One MP selection resulted in criminal charges being filed against Labour officials, with close connections to key Labour Together figures. These are the MPs who not just determine the future of the country but will play a key role in either making or breaking the political fortunes of whoever next succeeds Starmer. In a follow-up to The Fraud, my colleague Jessica Murray and I will be embarking upon The Labour Together Parliament project to examine the legitimacy of the process that resulted in the current parliament, upon which any Labour government will rest. What we need as a first step is information. We would like evidence of any wrongdoing or stitch-ups during the selection process. We would like to build a collection of evidence about the ways in which bureaucrats forced through or manipulated the selection process, including in the finalisation of longlists and shortlists, and, where it happened, the decision being removed from local democratic decision-making altogether. We are particularly interested in the vote tallies from every Labour candidate selection between 2022 and 2024. These have not been routinely published. We are particularly interested in tallies that distinguish between postal/online/and in-person votes. These different vote tallies would have been provided to losing candidates. Sometimes they were only read out in selection meetings. We are not only looking for results that seem “dodgy” — but all vote tallies, including those that are not in the least suspicious. This will allow us to build a holistic database and rigorously test different hypotheses.

Sir Keir Starmer’s former chief of staff has conceded that Labour failed to properly prepare for power in the run-up to its landslide general election win. In his first media interview, Morgan McSweeney told the BBC’s Nick Robinson he did not yet have all the answers for the prime minister’s dramatic downfall just two years after he led the party back into office. But he admitted Labour had not given enough thought to how the world had changed since the party last took power in the 1990s. He added the party should have been “way more optimistic” in its first few months, and had been unable to deliver results quickly enough to satisfy voters. He told the BBC’s Political Thinking with Nick Robinson podcast: “We didn’t prepare enough for what kind of world we were going to. We are now in a very different era than when Labour was last in government. “I think we didn’t have enough conversations at the top of the party about what that meant, how to prepare for it, what that meant for the state. “You have to deliver quite quickly for people, for them to see the change quickly. And I think we didn’t come in with enough of a theory about how we would do that.” McSweeney ran Labour’s successful 2024 election campaign and followed Sir Keir into office as his head of political strategy. He has kept a low public profile despite his instrumental role behind the scenes, but was thrust into the limelight earlier this year when he resigned over his role in Peter Mandelson’s appointment as the UK’s ambassador to the US. McSweeney said he was “still processing” Sir Keir’s political demise, but identified a lack of preparation as a key factor in the government’s early troubles, adding that Labour’s time in opposition “went quickly”. He said that there had been a widespread expectation that Labour would require at least two elections to return to power after its crushing defeat in 2019, and “quite a lot of people” thought it needed a plan for defeat rather than victory in 2024. He recalled that during planning meetings early that year, he “did start to realise that we hadn’t done enough to prepare for government”. McSweeney took on the chief of staff role three months after Labour’s return to office, replacing top civil servant Sue Gray, who was appointed the year before the election and tasked with leading preparations for government. Asked about Gray’s role in the run-up to taking power, he replied it was “not about one individual”, adding: “When I say we weren’t prepared, I really do mean the Labour Party more generally”. He added: “I take my own responsibilities for that, rather than blaming one person.” Sir Keir himself had made arguments about how Britain had changed in the years since Labour’s last term in office, he went on, but “I don’t think that we really discussed what that meant for how we prepare for government”.

Paul Holden explains what his book is about, and his experience in South Africa – inequality leads to a sick society. In October 2020, Jeremy Corbyn was booted from the party because of comments he made about the antisemitism crisis – a crisis driven in large part by McSweeney, in secret and with the help of a credulous media. Soon, the party was expelling or blocking candidates from its left-wing and even soft-left factions. McSweeney’s own tiny political faction – regressive on nearly every aspect of policy ranging from Israel to welfare to redistribution – took near total control. In 2022, the Conservative Party’s Liz Truss replaced the oafish scandal-monger Boris Johnson as prime minister of the country. She lasted just 49 days after her libertarian-style mini-budget pushed the economy to the brink. From that moment, the Labour Party was almost guaranteed to win the next election. A massive polling lead, favorable media coverage, and the promised glamour of a win-over-the-horizon supercharged the McSweeney project. His allies briefed the media that this moment offered a chance to fundamentally change the DNA of the Labour Party. And they did. Policy was yanked to the right. Left-wing candidates at all levels of the party were blocked and humiliated, often in insultingly stupid and vindictive ways. Long-running and locally loved candidates were excluded for liking tweets. In one notorious case, the impressive Faiza Shaheen was blocked, after the 2024 General Election was called, for sharing a skit by comedian Jon Stewart about the tenor of debate on Israel-Gaza. In another case, a candidate was blocked for liking a tweet from Scottish leader Nicola Sturgeon. Sturgeon had tweeted that she had recovered from COVID. The candidate was told this was an act of supporting another political party. At the time, the press cooed at how this newly recoded DNA was giving the Labour Party a dazzling glow of adult-like respectability. The party suddenly looked like it would fit in perfectly at a swanky salmon and scrambled egg business lunch in the city. Nice teeth, a good haircut, sharp suits, moisturized skin, and probably a metronomic biome. But, like all good body horrors, the short-term gain of good looks and social acceptance was bought with a long-term, systemic corruption. The party’s DNA would soon produce profound malignancies that threatened the health of the body politic. One of those malignancies was the return of Mandelson to Labour politics. A Party Made in Mandelson and McSweeney’s Image Mandelson and McSweeney had a long-running friendship, and Mandelson was famously supportive of McSweeney’s long-term political project. From at least 2021 onwards, Mandelson was increasingly brought into the fold to advise the McSweeney project, including on the minutiae of Party management. But with Mandelson comes decades of political and personal baggage, saddling the Starmer project with a deep well of gnarly scandal. By the time of the 2024 General Election, the party had been genuinely remade in McSweeney and Mandelson’s image. The new intake of MPs was hand-picked by McSweeney and his allies. Their tiny faction, which had and has little to no popular support in the country, dominated. By then, vast numbers of lifelong Labour Party supporters were already starting to smell a rat as the party navigated Israel’s response to the brutal October 7, 2023, attacks. Starmer famously told a radio interview that “Israel has that right” when asked if they could shut off water and electricity to Gaza – all of which would constitute war crimes. Starmer failed, for weeks, to even muster the most passing sympathy for the deaths of Palestinian civilians. Instead, Starmer backed Israel without any serious demur…

The ultra-Orthodox Jews who reject Israel Since the beginnings of modern Zionism, some elements of ultra-Orthodoxy have resisted the idea of the Jewish state, claiming the right to establish a state rested with God and could not precede the coming of the Messiah. At the forefront of this opposition stands the Neturei Karta movement, a faction within the broader Haredi world which has gone beyond religious resistance to actively support the cause of Palestinians who want to support Israel. Neturei Karta (Guardians of the City), advocate a “peaceful dismantling” of the State of Israel and demonstrate in support of replacing Israel with Palestine. Their numbers are unknown as they do not to keep a register of members and estimates range from several hundred to a few thousand. Most live in Israel but there are small communities in New York’s Borough Park and in London. Like other Haredim, they lead a distinctive lifestyle, establishing separate schools prioritising the study of sacred texts, and intentionally distancing themselves from the broader society. But they are also highly political and their language is extreme. The community’s leader, Rabbi Meir Hirsh, 66, describes the Israeli government as “Nazis”. “They don’t kill people like the Nazis did, but they kill the soul because they are against the Torah, the Bible, the rules.” He denies accusations that Neturei Karta went so far as to celebrate Hamas’s October 7 terrorist attack but claims the “real Zionists” support Hamas’s desire for the destruction of the Jewish state. Rabbi Hirsh’s family has a close relationship with Palestinians. He proudly displays a photo of his father and predecessor as leader, Rabbi Moshe Hirsch, embracing PLO leader Yasser Arafat. The Neturei Karta are not alone in opposing the state of Israel. Many ultra-Orthodox Jews reject secular Zionism. “We are simply more determined to fight Zionism,” Rabbi Hirsh says. “Other ultra-Orthodox movements are anti-Zionist but accept state welfare, are represented in parliament, and send their children to public schools. We do not accept any contributions from the government; we pay for private schools and healthcare. “Our lifestyle involves many sacrifices because we rely exclusively on donors and charity to support the movement.” The disconnect between Neturei Karta and Israeli state institutions is exemplified by Rabbi Hirsh’s refusal to pray at the Western Wall, because it is under Israeli government control…

And maybe if I can be a better version of this good immigrant, then I can succeed in the society, which you know, they don’t. That’s a false uh a goal that will never be um achieved. Um and if you want an example, [applause] so I’ll just get to this point and and try and close it up that even within our movement, um people are slow to accept the concept of the Arab Jew and reinforce this sort of uh false dichotomy and and political construction. Um whereas those communities should be able to e easily overlap. I mean, you’re looking at one of them and there’s many of you in the crowd today. Um, but the polarizing Oh, okay. Thank you. the polarizing narrative is both dismissive and dehumanizing. Um, and those groups are not mutually exclusive. So, the Zionist created a system of physical displacement and cultural extraction to make this idea of the good Israeli. um which is how uh the Zionist ideal was manufactured when in actuality we should be handinhand in the struggle with our Palestin Palestinian siblings who we have much more in common with as they were used for as as Zach mentioned labor and or they were used for labor needs we were brought in for labor and demographic usurbation of the the Palestinians but in fact we have much more in common and we should be fighting Zionism together.

Bristol school faces inspection after banning visit by Jewish MP Damien Egan Damien Egan, vice-chair of Labour Friends of Israel, was due to visit to Bristol Brunel Academy but it was cancelled Ofsted has opened an inspection into a secondary school over claims it may have been intimidated into cancelling a visit from a local gay Jewish MP whose parner is in Israeli intelligence. Damien Egan was due to visit the Bristol Brunel Academy in his constituency in September but his visit was cancelled after the school learnt that protests were planned by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) and the National Education Union (NEU), and some staff threatened to wear keffiyehs to school on the day. Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) strongly denied reports the visit was cancelled due to concerns about his involvement with the Labour Friends of Israel. Ofsted chief inspector Sir Martyn Oliver said in a statement today: “I was concerned to learn that a school may have been intimidated into cancelling a visit from their local MP. “I am troubled by the message this sends to children – especially children from the Jewish community. Those of us privileged enough to be working in education have a professional and moral duty to stand against discrimination.” After considering the evidence, inspectors concluded an inspection was warranted and were at the school on Thursday, Sir Martyn said. It emerged yesterday that the school’s diversity and inclusion leader said that Hamas terrorists who carried out the October 7 massacre in Israel were “heroes fighting for justice”. Bristol Brunel Academy has been criticised for suspending the visit by Mr Egan, the Labour MP for Bristol North East and vice-chair of Labour Friends of Israel, after learning of planned protests. Parliament watchdog accused of bias over treatment of pro-Israel politicians Exclusive: Daniel Greenberg voiced support for Israeli war on Gaza months after taking up role as independent commissioner The parliamentary standards commissioner has been accused of bias after dismissing a complaint against dozens of pro-Israel MPs. Declassified can reveal how Daniel Greenberg – who is meant to be impartial – voiced support for Israel’s assault on Gaza after being appointed to his role in 2023. He also once implied that any Israeli who refused to serve in the IDF was “a coward and a parasite”. The comments have raised questions over his refusal last year to investigate whether MPs should formally declare their roles in Labour Friends of Israel (LFI), which just last month sent a delegation to meet the country’s president. In October, Greenberg twice rejected a complaint about the MPs, suggesting there was no need for them to be transparent about their involvement with LFI because their roles were not sufficiently “significant and formal”. This is despite some holding “vice-chair” positions. LFI is funded by anonymous donors and was described as a “lobbying organisation” by one of its former directors. A full list of its supporters, which included Keir Starmer and David Lammy, was deleted from the group’s website shortly before the election last year. None of the MPs have declared their roles in parliament’s register of interests. As standards commissioner, Greenberg is responsible for conducting “impartial” investigations to enforce transparency in the register of interests. But two former members of parliament’s standards committee have now questioned his judgement, with one saying he “ought to recuse himself” over complaints relating to Israel. In 2012, Greenberg wrote a blog post about military service in Israel, criticising “boys hiding behind their religous [sic] books in order to evade army service”. He said that his son had recently emigrated to Israel and had been signed up for military service. Was this an ‘Earthquake Bomb’?  Unleashing the Reality of Tectonic Weapons Tectonic weapons are considered hypothetical devices that use cutting-edge technology to simulate earthquakes and other natural disasters, and to fulfil these destructive purposes, such weapons require immense power and a vast release of energy. Tectonic weapons have long been a controversial and mysterious topic. These hypothetical devices are said to have the ability to trigger earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other seismic events in specific locations by interfering with Earth’s natural geological processes. Although the idea of tectonic weapons is considered imaginary and baseless, its origin and concept can easily be traced back in history, such as in 1992, when Aleksey Vsevolovidich Nikolayev, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, first defined the concept of a Tectonic Weapon. In the mid-1990s; secret Soviet programmes called “Mercury” and “Volcano” aimed at developing tectonic weapons, which involved a series of experiments in Kyrgyzstan. Moreover, during World War II, New Zealand’s Project Seal attempted to create tsunami waves as a weapon. In 1898, famed inventor Nikola Tesla developed a small steam-powered mechanical oscillator that produced earthquake-like effects. Although all these experiments and claims have been deemed myths, speculation about the possibility of tectonic weapons has continued. After all, in the advanced field of science and technology, nothing is ever considered impossible. On the basis of these masked and secretive experiments, many theorists and analysts began to claim the development of Tectonic Weapons, considering them to be the source of danger and destruction for mankind. But these claims have always been framed as baseless, unsupported by scientific evidence, and therefore ignored in a very grave manner. Likewise, many of these claims link the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010 with the use of a Tectonic Weapon. They suggested that the earthquake’s severity and timing were not natural but instead the result of intentional manipulation. More recently, an earthquake in Turkey was said to have been intentionally triggered by Europe, which used a tectonic weapon to punish Turkey for its attitude towards the Europeans. Moreover, the earthquakes in Japan, such as the powerful earthquake and tsunami that struck Tohoku in 2011, resulted in the claim that the event was artificially induced using tectonic weapons for nefarious purposes. Claims were even made for regions and countries with high vulnerability to natural disasters, particularly developing countries with limited resources and infrastructure. These theories claim that tectonic weapons are used to destabilize by inducing unusual patterns of earthquakes or volcanic eruptions in these regions for geopolitical or economic reasons. Although many experts and scientists deny any such claims, they suggest that not only is the concept of tectonic weapons highly impossible but also not technically feasible, plus using them would raise significant ethical concerns. But these pointless and futile explanations never satisfied the theorists or society as a whole, since many recent technologies and devices have often hinted at and were found to be involved in manipulating tectonic activity. The legal change, which is expected to complete its final parliamentary stages this week, would also create new criminal offences for people who “support, assist and obtain material benefits” from groups formally listed as state-supported threats. However, there are concerns that the national security (state threats) bill would in practice go beyond its main aim of targeting proxies, and could end up penalising foreign correspondents as well. Press freedom groups have expressed concern at the warnings and asked the government to ensure there are safeguards. The Home Office denied the bill would undermine the work of journalists. The department’s guidance suggests journalists are protected, but Lord Anderson said those protections were not explicit in the bill. “The bill seems to have been pulled together in a hurry, with mooted safeguards for NGOs and journalists largely absent from its text,” the peer said. “That needs to be put right early this week, before the bill becomes law.” Under the legislation, material benefits include not just financial benefits but also information. It would be an offence both to “obtain, accept and retain” this material benefit but also to “agree to accept” it – and there is no “reasonable excuse” defence for either. July 2024 – Tony, Dave and Martin’s NOT The BCfm Politics show was CANCELLED/EVICTED in a no fault, no notice, no appeal, eviction by The People’s Republic of Stokes Croft (PRSC) arts centre – An email from Chloe Slater and Keith Cowling explained that: ‘Transphobic’ leaflets had been left in the building by a recent guest (who denied it) making Transsexual users of the building feel ‘offended’ and ‘unsafe’. To quote: ‘Please let us know when you or Dave would like to come and retrieve your equipment and drop off your keys. Chloe Slater (formerly Jez and self-defined as ‘she’) also made it difficult for us to retrieve the last of our equipment by inferring we couldn’t be trusted, we were made to wait outside their building for over 30 minutes to return their mixing desk in December 2024.

March 2020 – BCfm’s weekly Politics Show presented by Tony Gosling with Irish Republican Labour activist Martin Summers was forced off FM, now online only by station manager Pat Hart. He decided the show should be ‘rested, due to the pandemic’ on 24 March 2020 and then refused to communicate at all when we requested to do the show remotely. Bristol Community FM (BCfm) charity ‘CEO’ Patrick Hart is a longtime personal friend of Bristol’s all-powerful right-wing ‘Labour’ mayor Marvin Rees. Now on Internet only NOT The BCfm Politics Show is available 17:00-c. 21:00 live on Fridays. Pat Hart replaced us with an inane student show repeating MSM stories called The Bristol Agenda. February 2019 – Ofcom complaint result: UKLFI exposed as creation of Israeli foreign ministry – Bristol Post article: BCfm cleared after being reported to Ofcom for anti-semitic conspiracy theories – It could have resulted in BCfm radio station being shut down if the complaint was upheld Tony Gosling reported to Ofcom by UK Lawyers for Israel after being accused of anti-semitism A Bristol radio station, which had one of its programmes reported for anti-semitism and racism has been cleared by Ofcom. The radio regulatory body received a complaint from “UK Lawyers for Israel’ over a show on BCfm radio, hosted by investigative journalist Tony Gosling. The weekly politics show, on the popular community radio station based in Easton, was reported for several allegations on a show which aired on November 23. Tony Gosling, who was a former BBC journalist between 1989 and 1993, has been producing and presenting ‘The Tony Gosling Politics’ show every week on BCFM radio for 11 years. They have released a statement which reads: “Whilst we are supportive of all our volunteer presenters, The Tony Gosling Politics Show only represents approximately ten percent of our political output content wise, and less than two per cent of our entire weekly output.” Mr Gosling’s programme looks at local politics and he interviews a range of councillors and MPs in the city. The show is also perhaps more well known for its alternative look at international politics, and he has a cult following online from across the world. Mr Gosling has made regular appearances on national media including the politics show with Andrew Neil on BBC One, and international channels such as Russia Today, Channel1 Russia, NTV, and recently for both Turkish and Lebanon TV.

November 2012 – Tony gets death threats on the phone from the Jewish Defence League – ‘you’re a dead man walking’ – a man calls him and Tony records the call. Audio of UK Jewish Defence League (JDL) death threat against British journalist Tony Gosling (2012) – Avon and Somerset police Special Branch investigate, trace the caller, and after six months report to Tony that the individual has been served a caution that they will proceed with a prosecution for harassment under the 1861 offences against the person act. Seems pretty clear this death threat was issued alongside the lies, copied below, which were published on their blog by London based UK JDL in November 2012.  Firstly Tony Gosling is not a ‘homophobe’. That accusation was first made in an article published by the ‘Harry’s Place’ blog, penned by Zionist David Toube and propelled by him anonymously into Private Eye in 2008. It refers to Gosling’s criticism of senior teachers at Bannerman Road Primary school in Bristol who used homosexual early learning picture books against the express wishes of the parent governors. His criticism was about the deception by teaching staff not because of the homosexual content of the books. Secondly, if you follow the JDL link you’ll find what Tony Gosling actually says about the ‘Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion’ says “…I don’t think there is much doubt that the Protocols are fake…” Thirdly he is not a member of Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign and has never been to any of their meetings.

Autumn 2014 – Tony’s documentary production and distribution business shut down by its bank. Our thriving Co-op business bank account ordered closed for undisclosed reasons. Tony Gosling and Ben Edwards founded i-Contact Video Network to distribute documentaries on VHS video and DVD and to make their own documentaries as well as attend news events and sell video footage to TV news channels. Amongst the films we distributed were Operation Solstice, Coconut Revolution, Mark Purdey and Organophosphates, McLibel, 9/11 In Plane Site, Ludicrous Diversion and The Battle of Trafalgar. These, plus books, and even a board game about drug dealing ‘Dollars and Dibble’, were all available via mail order and we supplied libraries around the world too. The bank had clearly been ordered to investigate us for money laundering, although they never admitted it. All the questions they asked Ben and I were about proving our identity through passports etc.. When we did, yet more letters kept arriving demanding more proofs, birth certificates etc. and eventually when one of us missed supplying the required information, within a week or so of being asked, the account was summarily closed and we got a cheque made out to one of us with the few hundred pounds that was in the business bank account. Since neither of us could get a business bank account up and running for at least a few months and the bank account meant nobody could any longer use the website, we made the reluctant decision to shut it down. Thus was a thriving business killed off by the Co_operative bank. Having said that, co-op were not quite the worst. We did apply to open an account at Bristol’s ‘ethical’ Triodos bank, who proceeded to string us along for several months and then said our business was too risky for them to provide an account!
