Merseyside Police records show 70 children aged 17 or under were arrested in 2017, up from 36 in 2015. Of those young dealers, 18 arrested last year were aged 15 or under, up from just five in 2015. The youngest person arrested was 12 years old and between 2015, and May 31, this year five children aged 13 or under were arrested. Last month the Echo reported how children as young as 12 had been charged with firearms offences between 2015 and 2017.
In total, 63 children were arrested for firearm offences over the three-year period. Secret order on authorised criminality by spies made public after legal battle by rights groups – @JamieGrierson Fri 2 Mar 2018 MI5 agents are allowed to carry out criminal activity in the UK, the government has acknowledged for the first time.
