Secret Bunker where British nuclear weapons were developed under the civilian code name ‘Tube Alloys’, Fort Halstead has been sold by DSTL/MoD and is to be turned into a housing estate. But what about the underground tunnels? Built into the top of the North Downs just NW of Pole Hill on the London to Hastings road, Fort Halstead was a mobilisation centre constructed between 1895-97 and comprising vaulted barracks to the west and a magazine on the East. It was one of fifteen forts constructed to act as a defences against invasion. Ammunition and equipment was stored in these underground hilltop fortresses ready for troops to defend London. The scheme was abandoned in 1906 but during the First World War the fort was used as a defensible ammunition store forming part of the London anti-invasion stop-line. Following sixteen years of private ownership, in 1937 the site became the Projectile Development Establishment (PDE) providing a remote and contained site for rocket development. From 1947 it became the High Explosives Research Headquarters for the development of Britain’s atomic bomb. Atomic weapons research and development continued at Fort Halstead until 1955 when staff transferred to the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment at Aldermaston, Berkshire. Fort Halstead has since continued as a government defence research establishment concentrating on explosives and other research.Fort Halstead is a scheduled monument. For the designation record of this site please see the National Heritage List for England Fort Halstead, Sevenoaks Kent TN14 7BP English Heritage Listing Reference: 407330 Grid Ref : TQ4990059148 – Fort Halstead underground site was closely associated with the nearby surface site known as Aquila – The Aquila site in Golf Road, Bickley, Bromley was first occupied by the MoD in 1946, the year before Fort Halstead. It was also one of the earliest secret centres in the UK for atomic weapons research and development after the US broke the Quebec agreement because Guy Burgess, Donald McLean, Kim Philby, Anthony Blunt and Victor Rothschild had been leaking secrets like a sieve to Stalin’s Russia. Aquila ops were run by the excellent UK Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA) which declined rapidly when privatised and sold off to the highly dubious firm, QinetiQ.
Demolition begins at historic military site. The former government forensic and ballistics site near Sevenoaks is being developed for housing Demolition has begun at a military site which has played a role in some of the most devastating moments in British history. For many years Fort Halstead has been home to the government’s top secret forensic explosive laboratories, where scientists studied the aftermath of multiple disasters – from IRA attacks to the bombing of a Pan-Am jumbo jet over Lockerbie in 1988. A building of major historical significance, it is where the wreckage of the bus blown up in the 7/7 London bombings was brought for analysis and where the detonator for Britain’s atomic bomb was developed. But now the Ministry of Defence research facility, near Sevenoaks in Kent, along with around 150 other buildings on the 185-acre site, is being knocked down to make way for 635 new homes. However, while the area may need more homes, some local residents say the infrastructure will not support the build and will impact those living nearby. “I’m really concerned because this development is very big, while people already on site have suffered enormously,” said one resident. “They’re had shortage of water, low pressure and electricity outages – plus the roads are strangulated with traffic as it is.” William Walsh, managing director for housebuilder Barratt David Wilson Kent, said: “People don’t need to have concerns. “We speak to the authorities who provide those services and work with them to make sure the site has all the infrastructure it needs for the homes we’re going to create.” He said that “as part of the design, we’re trying to incorporate the history of what we’re inheriting”. “We’re doing that by introducing some heritage trails and retaining some buildings on site, around which we’ll create a historic centre,” he added. When the Pan Am jumbo was brought down over Lockerbie in 1988, parts of the shattered fuselage were transported to Fort Halstead for analysis Indeed, the original fort, built in the 1890s, and the newer buildings within it are among a dozen structures that will be protected. Fort Halstead eventually shut in 2022 when its services moved to Porton Down, near Salisbury. The new build site is expected to include mixed-use employment spaces, shops and cafes, as well as a bus link and cycle path. The development is expected to take six years in total, with the first homes going on sale in 2027.
Will Andy Burnham be a better leader than Starmer, or is he under the same constraints? Peter Oborne on Starmer’s failed political tactics. Starmer is out: Can Burnham bring new hope to Britain? | Peter Oborne | MEE Opinion Middle East Eye Peter Oborne, associate editor at Middle East Eye, argues that after years of failed policies at home and abroad, the UK needs a different kind of prime minister. Oborne says that UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer attempted to emulate former Prime Minister Tony Blair by turning against the Labour left and cultivating relationships with billionaires. He argues that Andy Burnham could succeed by embracing a different style of politics. “So long as he remembers to govern in the interests of ordinary people and not billionaires; to keep his integrity, resist blandishments and be himself, Burnham stands a chance of succeeding when so many have failed,” Oborne says. – – – Starmer’s claim on Monday morning that he had restored “decency, respect and the rule of law” to Britain is a cynical and straightforward lie. As leader of the opposition, Starmer signalled his support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s collective punishment of Gaza, with water and fuel withheld from the civilian population – a war crime. Far from defending the rule of law, he brought a new authoritarianism to British justice Once in Downing Street, Starmer continued to arm Israel as it carried out what the United Nations, along with a majority of scholars, now view as a genocide. Incredibly, he leaves office without accusing Israel of ever committing war crimes. Starmer undermined trial by jury. He attacked migrants. Far from defending the rule of law, he brought a new authoritarianism to British justice, especially when he widened the definition of terrorism to include supporters of Palestine Action. Rather than restoring public service, as he promised upon taking office less than two years ago, he was found to have accepted gifts including clothing, designer glasses, and even the use of a flat owned by a rich friend. Advised by his now-disgraced former chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney, Starmer was an expert at the politics of manipulation and deceit. He ran for the Labour leadership six years ago posing as a “friend” of former leader Jeremy Corbyn, and the candidate of the left. To ingratiate himself with traditional party members, he made 10 pledges in his leadership manifesto – then ripped them up once he’d won. In a gross act of betrayal, he turned brutally on Corbyn and his supporters, forcing them out of the party. In this way, Starmer split the Labour Party and created the conditions for the rise of Zack Polanski’s Greens. A different kind of politics: Meanwhile, Starmer lurched Labour to the right as part of a strategy to win back Reform voters. Yet he is reportedly still blaming others for his downfall. “He gave everything to Labour, including sacrificing much of his children’s teenage years to help make the party electable. He feels deeply betrayed, especially by those he believed were loyal to him,” Politics UK quoted a Labour source as saying. Starmer should not blame others. He needs only to look in the mirror if he wants to understand his failure as prime minister. Andy Burnham, now nailed on as Starmer’s successor, must urgently learn the lessons from the outgoing leader’s mistakes. Starmer, deeply influenced by Mandelson, inherited the Blairite belief that a politician needs to lie to obtain power. Starmer tried to copy former Prime Minister Tony Blair by turning on the Labour left and cultivating billionaires instead. This meant forming alliances with Britain’s far-right media, especially the Murdoch press – another mistake. These strategies worked well for Blair. They have proved disastrous for Starmer. Burnham will be in Downing Street soon. He can succeed, and anyone who loves Britain will hope he does so. But he can only succeed by reverting to a different kind of politics. He stands a chance because, most paradoxically, unlike Starmer and Blair, he is not a natural member of the metropolitan elite. Like Harold Wilson in the 1970s, Burnham comes from the north. His father was a telephone engineer and his mother a receptionist. Burnham has been a great success as mayor of Manchester. So long as he remembers to govern in the interests of ordinary people and not billionaires; to keep his integrity, resist blandishments and be himself, Burnham stands a chance of succeeding when so many have failed. All reasonable people should be on his side. It’s time Britain had a decent prime minister – and we’ve never needed one more.
Burnham’s chief-of-staff is pro Israeli. Andy Burnham chooses Labour Friends of Israel ex-chair as chief of staff, report says James Purnell was a cabinet minister under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown Andy Burnham has reportedly asked former minister James Purnell, who was once chair of the Labour Friends of Israel group and has been the chief executive of a major lobbying firm, to be his chief of staff. Burnham, who is likely to replace Keir Starmer as the British prime minister by 17 July, is preparing his team for government and is working with figures from different sides of the Labour Party. Burnham’s current allies include Josh Simons, the former director of the think tank Labour Together, which is widely credited with propelling Starmer to power, but also MP Louise Haigh, reportedly a victim of the Labour Together machine. Chief of staff is a crucial role and would make Purnell Burnham’s right-hand man. According to the Guardian, Purnell has indicated he will accept the role. Purnell was a minister under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown in the 2000s. He shared an office with Burnham, a fellow minister, in the Blair years. He became the BBC’s director of strategy in 2013, and then chief executive of the lobbying firm Flint Global in 2024. He reportedly resigned on Wednesday as a director of Flint Global. In government, Purnell served as culture secretary and at the Department for Work and Pensions. He is said to be on the right of the Labour Party. As an MP, Purnell voted for the invasion of Iraq and served as chair of the parliamentary lobby group Labour Friends of Israel (LFI) for two years. In 2002, as LFI chair, he visited Israel. In an account of the trip, he described visiting a kibbutz: “From their communal dining room, we can see the minaret of the local Arab village. They have a joint kindergarten, a joint football team too. “After lunch, our host shows us the spot where one warm evening last month a young Arab, not from the village, entered the kibbutz and shot five people.” Purnell met former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak on the trip, and witnessed the “American ambassador lecturing the Israelis about settlements – unthinkable 10 years ago, unsurprising today”. He said peace could be secured through “goodwill – and only a commitment by the Palestinian Authority to doing everything to deal with terrorism will deliver it”. In Jerusalem, however, he noted that “Palestinians live on less than $1,000 a year, and malnutrition is appearing. No one knows how to get that goodwill”.
Nigel Farage complaining about our political system and how Brexit hasn’t happened. Has Brexit ruined our economy? Nigel Farage – I’d pull UK out of ECHR immediately as PM to stop critical threat The Reform UK leader has doubled down on the promise on the 10 year anniversary of the Brexit referendum. Nigel Farage has said the first thing he would do as prime minister if he won a general election would be to remove the UK from the European Convention on Human Rights. The Reform UK leader said it’s “it’s just so obvious” the country needs to leave the ECHR, allowing ministers to take action which would cut illegal migration. Speaking exclusively to the Express, Mr Farage said it would also “re-establish trust” with voters. Asked what would be the first thing he would do if becomes Prime Minister, he said: “Leaving the incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights into British law under the Human Rights Act 1998. That’s the first thing I want to tell you. “It absolutely has to be, because what it would do, not only is to give us the power to deport those that should not be here, but it might just re-establish some trust that voting actually counts for something. Because one of my biggest worries about where we are as a country right now is if you begin to think that voting makes no difference because no one keeps their promises, and you lose faith in the democratic system, well then all you’re left with is disobedience, disorder, you know, and a very dangerous future. “So re-establishing that trust in democracy and I think leaving ECHR, getting rid of the Human Rights Act would do that.” His remarks came during a special episode of our weekday news show, the Daily Expresso, recorded in Mr Farage’s Clacton constituency to mark the 10th anniversary of the Brexit referendum today. Mr Farage told presenter Mark Dolan that repeated governments have failed to seize on the benefits of Brexit, including staying in the ECHR. He added: “We left the European Union, but we’ve been stuck with ECHR and I think it’s just so obvious to me that has to go.”
PMQs UK military funding. Starmer’s last PMQs – grey belt policy. PMQs mobile phone theft. PMQs LIVE: Prime Minister’s Questions – 24 June 2026 PMQs Starmer and Badenoch UK Parliament Prime Minister’s Question Time, also referred to as PMQs, takes place every Wednesday the House of Commons sits. It gives MPs the chance to put questions to the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer MP, or a nominated minister. In most cases, the session starts with a routine ‘open question’ from an MP about the Prime Minister’s engagements. MPs can then ask supplementary questions on any subject, often one of current political significance. The Leader of the Opposition, Kemi Badenoch MP, asks six questions and the leader of the second largest opposition party asks two. If another minister takes the place of the Prime Minister, opposition parties will usually nominate a shadow minister to ask the questions. Keir Starmer faced his first PMQs since his resignation this afternoon, on a day when more Labour figures publicly backed Andy Burnham to be the next leader of the country. Starmer’s Chief Secretary Darren Jones endorsed Burnham in an interview this morning, ruling himself out of any leadership contest. New Health Secretary James Murray also backed Burnham, saying he has the “determination and drive” to make a difference. Former defence minister Al Carns could still consider challenging Burnham in a contest, telling BBC Newsnight on Tuesday that he wants to “see behind Andy Burnham what the policies are” before making a final call. Starmer arrived to cheers in the Commons, but Tory leader Kemi Badenoch did not hold back in launching a stinging critique of his cabinet, asking whether he felt “let down” by colleagues. Here’s a recap of the key exchanges. Starmer’s passionate defence of Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson stood out – given how often his critics point to what they see as his sterile public demeanour, writes our political editor. An ally of Keir Starmer has said that one of the biggest challenges facing Andy Burnham is that “there is no money”. Speaking BBC Radio 5 Live, Cabinet Office minister Chris Ward says Burnham will face three main challenges should he succeed in his bid to replace Starmer. The first issue is that “there’s no money”, he says, the second is that there is “no time”, and the third is ensuring the Labour party maintains unity. On the first challenge, Ward tells 5 Live’s Matt Chorley that a new government cannot “suddenly invent a way through” fiscal challenges. Ward also says “getting anything over the line is so difficult and so time consuming”. Addressing the third issue, he says: “The Labour party is a tricky beast and he’s going to get challenges on that front from different sides.” Badenoch won’t apologise for language used at PMQs, Tories sayp The Conservatives have said Kemi Badenoch will not apologise for her language after a fiery Prime Minister’s Questions in which she repeatedly attacked government ministers. Badenoch said Labour MPs were cheering on Sir Keir despite there being “400 knives stuck in his back”, with Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle at one stage calling for a “little bit more decorum and respect”. She also suggested many Labour MPs are “traitors and deserters” before branding Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson a “spiteful class warrior”. Badenoch and Phillipson had a heated exchange in the moments after PMQs, when the leader of the opposition accused the education secretary of “destroying children’s lives”.
Sarah Steel raped by US army guy from US air base Lakenheath – no court case. Bizarre questions and an all-male ‘jury’: woman strangled by US pilot in Britain tells of airbase trial Sarah Steele waives anonymity to call for greater scrutiny of how US military courts are allowed to ‘rip apart’ vulnerable witnesses in the UK Why did a US fighter pilot avoid British trial after strangling a woman in England? A woman strangled by an American fighter pilot at his home in an English city has come forward to criticise the handling of his prosecution via a US court martial, a process she described as “military first, justice second”. Sarah Steele, a British academic, has come forward to speak about the “distressing and degrading” experience she had with the US military justice system after she was assaulted by the airman in Cambridge. Although Jacob Wulfson assaulted Steele on UK soil in late 2023, after the pair met on a dating app, American military police quickly took over the case and the pilot was tried by US air force prosecutors. UK law enforcement have primary jurisdiction over crimes that occur outside of US bases while military personnel are off duty. However, Steele’s case has put a spotlight on how UK authorities cede authority to the US military. In her interview with the Guardian, Steele also shed light on the process by which her case was claimed by American military prosecutors. Wulfson’s court martial – details of which were revealed by the Guardian – was heard in April at the airman’s base, RAF Lakenheath in west Suffolk, the largest US military base in the UK. The 32-year-old US captain was convicted of strangling an intimate partner but found not guilty of sexual assault. He received a sentence of six months in a corrections facility, handed to him by an all-male panel of air force officers who served as the equivalent of a jury. Had his case been heard in the British criminal justice system, legal experts say, Wulfson would probably have been tried for rape. Any sentence would have been determined by a judge. In an interview, Steele said the US military’s processes had been “confronting, and at times frustrating and distressing”. She said the court martial felt “archaic and bizarre”, adding: “It feels like you’ve been put in this absurd Netflix series kind of situation where you’re like, is this real?” Steele, 42, said one reason for coming forward to the Guardian was that many people in the UK were unaware there were “little pockets of American jurisdiction” on British soil, where victims of crimes committed by US military personnel can find themselves caught in a foreign and outdated justice system. She said decisions by UK police forces to cede responsibility of cases to the US military police and prosecutors needed to be “subject to scrutiny”, in particular when crimes committed by visiting American service personnel have affected British citizens. “If we’re going to host these foreign forces here and they’re going to have an increasing presence in our country, I think there’s a necessity that we have a really clear, transparent, focused process by which constabularies hand over these cases,” she said. Steele, who has a doctorate in law, has worked at several universities in the UK. Her research focuses on sexual safety and preventing violence against women and girls, providing her with an informed perspective on the case, though she said it had been deeply uncomfortable to be in the kind of situation she researches. Wulfson assaulted Steele at their first face-to-face encounter. During the court martial, US air force prosecutors also accused him of drugging her and penetrating her vagina without her consent, an accusation he was acquitted of. This was charged by the military prosecutors as sexual assault and “aggravated sexual contact”. Wulfson’s lawyer said in the court martial the pilot had been “falsely accused” and was “unequivocally not guilty”. After he was convicted on the strangulation charge, Wulfson told the court martial that on the night he met Steele he had been drunk and “took things too far”….
Holly and Jessica murders. 17 Aug 2002 Ian Huntley: patsy for Holly Wells, Jessica Chapman’s USAF Lakenheath child killers? Joe Vialls | 09.09.2002 Who Really Murdered Holly Wells & Jessica Chapman? British Police continue to torture least likely suspects Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr from Soham Village, while deliberately ignoring thousands of more likely suspects from nearby American Air Force Bases. TWO OF OUR LITTLE GIRLS MAY HAVE BEEN MURDERED BY US SERVICEMEN. THEIR BODIES WERE DUMPED OUTSIDE THE PERIMETER FENCE OF USAF LAKENHEATH. NOT ONE US SERVICEMAN HAS YET BEEN INTERVIEWED. When British police arrested Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr during the early hours of Saturday 17 August, on suspicion of the abduction and murder of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, they did so in the certain knowledge that absolutely no hard evidence existed incriminating either suspect. The reason for the rapid arrests was very simple: Just hours earlier, two small bodies had been found near the perimeter fence at USAF Lakenheath, and the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street was terrified of a massive political scandal involving American servicemen based in, or transiting through, the United Kingdom. Shortly after the arrests, British and American media organisations demonised Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr so successfully that public attention was diverted away from Lakenheath completely, and focused instead on the young couple from Soham who had earlier willingly spoken to television crews about their concerns for the well being of the two missing 10-year-old girls. Both knew the girls reasonably well. Ian Huntley was the caretaker at their school, and Maxine Carr was a former teaching auxiliary in their class. Millions of viewers around the world watched Ian and Maxine being interviewed by the media, and most were impressed by the openness of their statements and their genuine willingness to help if possible. Experts in non-verbal communication also noticed that Ian and Maxine’s involuntary body and eye movements perfectly matched what they were saying verbally to the journalists. In other words, both appeared to be telling the truth both verbally and non-verbally, an almost impossible feat for even a trained liar to fabricate. It is critical to note here also that both came across on television as perfectly normal, sane individuals, a reality later to be inexplicably challenged by police and psychiatrists in Cambridgeshire. If Huntley and Carr had been involved at all with the abduction and murder of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, would they have then been stupid enough to run the gauntlet of about 10,000 American servicemen en-route, and dump the two small bodies in a location clearly visible from Lakenheath Control Tower, taxi track, and main runway? A serviceman with detailed knowledge of activities and procedures inside the base might get away with it unseen, but certainly not two civilians from Soham in Cambridgeshire. So the perimeter would be an ideal dumping ground for American servicemen eager to return to ‘safe’ territory at USAF Lakenheath, before either entering their barracks on the base, or catching a shuttle bus to USAF Mildenhall. In an attempt to demonize Ian Huntley still further, police ‘leaked’ the damning information that he had been arrested for rape a number of years earlier. Well, yes, almost. While still a teenager Huntley had consensual sex with his girlfriend, who was only 15-years-old at the time, an offence in the United Kingdom known as statutory rape. He was never charged with an offence however, and his former girlfriend [now age 21 years] recently confirmed it was a mutual crush [love affair], with enthusiastic sexual consent on both sides. So for a while at least, police and media have managed to deflect attention away from the two massive nearby USAF bases at Lakenheath and Mildenhall, and the political minefield lurking just below the surface if the British public ever find out about the very large numbers of children abused, raped, and sometimes murdered by American servicemen on overseas duty. So let us properly consider the ‘American Connection’, before returning later in this report to the unbelievable ongoing psychological abuse of Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr. Though earlier in the investigation police declared they would be interviewing ‘147;700 known sex offenders’ of British nationality, there was no mention of interviewing the 10,000+ US servicemen based in close proximity to Soham Village, or determining which other American servicemen has transited through the two bases, and on which flights, since Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman first disappeared. The simple fact that Holly and Jessica’s bodies were found within yards of the USAF Lakenheath perimeter fence, which in turn provides access to the American barracks within, should have had British police knocking on Lakenheath’s front door immediately. Unfortunately, any such action might have accidentally undermined Prime Minister Tony Blair’s personal slavish dedication to George W Bush’s ‘War on Terror.’
Battle between London mayor and Met police chiefs to use genocidal Palantir software. MET Police to use Palantir drones. Sadiq Khan may not let it go through. Matt Jukes – assistant Chief of MET – detains journalists under terrorism rules – and covered up Clydach murders. Palantir to sue Sadiq Khan after mayor blocks £50 million Met Police deal The deal was blocked over concerns the company did not share London’s ‘values’ and about the procurement process Palantir is preparing to sue London mayor Sir Sadiq Khan after he blocked a £50 million deal with the Metropolitan Police. The data analytics company was set to help the Met use AI technology to automate intelligence analysis in criminal investigations. However, Sir Sadiq blocked the deal citing concerns about using public money to support firms who “act contrary to London’s values” and about the procurement process used to award the contract. The US tech giant has claimed this was a “politicised decision”, and their lawyers have written to the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (Mopac) to inform them that they intend to challenge the decision in the courts. The Met could support Palantir’s claim, with the force criticising the mayor’s move and saying that officer numbers may need to be cut without the new technology. Palantir were initially appointed by Scotland Yard to use AI to detect rogue officers, in a deal worth less than £500,000, meaning it did not have to be scrutinised by the mayor. The Met had wanted to extend the company’s involvement, using it to scan criminal intelligence data for patterns and clues, but City Hall found that the process for extending Palantir’s role had not allowed bids from other suppliers and vetoed it. Palantir is being used for defence work by both the Israeli military and the Trump administration, resulting in a number of Labour politicians calling for the company to be stripped of its public sector contracts. Tooting MP Rosena Allin-Khan told the Guardian: “Palantir does not reflect the values of our city. We must maintain public trust and ensure that any tech partnerships truly serve the safety and rights of Londoners.” Norwich South MP Clive Lewis said: “Other mayors and police and crime commissioners should take note and keep Palantir out of policing.” Palantir has a £330 million contract with the NHS to reduce hospital waiting lists and speed up patient discharge times, which has so far led to more than 100,000 additional operations. Louis Mosley, [grandson of 1930s British fascist leader Sir Oswald Mosely] CEO of Palantir UK, has accused Sir Sadiq of politicising procurement by cancelling the Met contract.
Neil Oliver – AI mush. Keir Starmer ‘TAMPERING’ with social media has NOTHING to do with protecting children – Neil Oliver GBNews #keirstarmer #digitalid #labourparty Following Keir Starmer’s announcement of a full ban on social media for under-16s, Neil Oliver launches an attack on the ‘bloated disease-baring tick’ that is the British state. The government says the ban is designed to protect young people from harmful content, addictive algorithms, cyberbullying, and excessive screen time. The restrictions are expected to be enforced through age-verification systems overseen by Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator. #keirstarmer #socialmedia #labourparty #digitalid This latest move has nothing to do with protecting children. Nothing whatever less than nothing. that this is the sinqinon of less than nothing to do with protecting children. It’s so cynical. It’s so blatantly, transparently, unavoidably cynical. This social media ban, which is in reality only the eenth bid to force digital ID over the line, has nothing to do with protecting children. In the same way, just as a for instance, that those COVID jabs had nothing to do with safety and or effectiveness. While we’re back on that subject, let’s remember always and forever that while those jabs were pushed relentlessly towards children, they had at no point been tested on children to see if they were safe for children. In the same way that they hadn’t been tested on pregnant women to see if they were safe or not safe for the pregnant women into whom they were jabbed. Just as none of it was about saving granny as we were relentlessly told by the propaganda. In fact, granny and grandpa were dying alone and scared in hospitals and nursing homes, often helped on their way by morphine and madazzylam cocktails. Just as nothing about the so-called pandemic was about what they said it was about, so the tampering with social media has nothing nothing I say to do with protecting children. Children are abused in Britain in the most appalling and sickening ways by their many thousands in a horror that has been going on in town after town, city after city for decades. And still next to nothing is done that means anything real if stopping it was the objective. children along with their families are murdered day after day in Gaza, in Lebanon, in Iran, and month after month and year after year. All I can say about that is that the state does less than nothing to stop it.

‘Trump may have been hypnotised’ to start Iran war, Tucker Carlson Yalda Hakim Sky News – Like him or loathe him, Tucker Carlson is a window into Trump’s world Over the past decade, Carlson has become one of the most influential and polarising voices in the MAGA movement – which is why I was interested to hear what he made of Donald Trump’s decision to strike Iran. Yalda Hakim Tucker Carlson: Iran war marks end of Trump I first saw the scale of Tucker Carlson’s political power and influence up close at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in 2024. Donald Trump had survived an assassination attempt just days earlier. The mood inside the convention hall was electric. Eight years after Trump’s hostile takeover of the Republican establishment, there was no doubt that this was now his party. Yet there were a handful of figures who seemed capable of commanding the same intensity of attention from the crowd. Carlson was one of them. Supporters stopped him constantly. Delegates crowded around him. When he took to the stage, the audience hung on every word. That experience stayed with me as I travelled to rural Maine this week to sit down with Carlson in his studio. Over the past decade, Carlson has become one of the most influential and polarising voices in the MAGA movement, helping to popularise many of the ideas that came to define the America First agenda. Whether you agree with him or loathe him, he remains an important window into how a significant part of Trump’s political coalition sees the world. Which is why I was interested to hear what he made of President Trump’s decision to strike Iran. Since the war began the relationship between Carlson and President Trump has soured. He explained how he went from speaking to the president constantly in the lead-up to the conflict, to not having any communication with him since the first day strikes were launched against Iran. At one point in our conversation, I asked him whether this conflict could become for Donald Trump what Afghanistan became for Joe Biden. The question was a personal one. Having reported extensively on the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, I have long felt it was the turning point of Biden’s presidency – the moment many voters began to question his leadership. So I asked Carlson whether this war could become Trump’s Afghanistan.

Gabbard Reveals Declassified Map, Records of Ukraine Bio Labs — Outgoing Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard on Friday released declassified documents related to what she said was new evidence of United States-funded bio labs in more than 30 countries, including Ukraine. The documents, still partially redacted, detailed the locations and functions of various labs which “likely housed dangerous pathogens.” The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) said some of the labs were vulnerable because of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war but had been intentionally covered up by previous administrations. “Despite the obvious potential for catastrophic global impact research on dangerous pathogens in biolabs can have, politicians, so-called health professionals like Dr. Fauci, and entities within the Biden administration’s national security team lied to the American people about the existence of U.S.-funded and supported biolabs, and threatened those who attempted to expose the truth,” Gabbard said in a press release. Newsweek reached out to former President Joe Biden for comment via the contact form on his office’s website. Gabbard declassified the documents in April, but they weren’t released until Friday. They claim that Ukraine has more than 40 labs built and supported in part by the U.S. The slides highlight the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine (IECVM) in Kharkiv, with some of the key points that the site: There is also a claim that the facility had biosafety deficiencies, especially in areas handling Brucella bacteria, and that a virology building basement exists. Some of the pathogens handled or stored at the labs included anthrax, Ebola and swine fever. The documents also make clear that U.S. involvement has gone beyond infrastructure, including training Ukrainian scientists in biocontainment practices and funding research into infectious diseases, such as studies on highly pathogenic avian influenza.
TRUMP SACKS STARMER…? Starmer’s resignation pronounced by Trump three hours before it was in UK – Tony suspended from X for three days until the story is no longer news. Starmer expected to announce departure on Monday as growing numbers of MPs back Burnham for PM – as it happened PM said to be reflecting on ‘political realities’, as president Trump joins in criticism of his leadership saying he has ‘failed badly’ Trump predicts Starmer will resign as UK prime minister after failing ‘badly’ on immigration and energy In a post to Truth Social, the US president, Donald Trump, has just said that Keir Starmer “will resign” as the UK’s prime minister, in comments that will cause huge embarrassment to Downing Street. Trump wrote: “He failed badly on two very important subjects- IMMIGRATION AND ENERGY (OPEN NORTH SEA OIL!). I wish him well!” Starmer, looking to stay on the right side of the erratic president for preferential trade terms for the UK, was accused of kowtowing to Trump after the Republican president took office last January. But the two leaders’ relationship broke down over Starmer’s refusal to be involved in the US-Israel war on Iran as much as Trump would have liked. The US president repeatedly lashed out at Starmer’s refusal to approve direct military involvement in the war, labelling him “no Winston Churchill” because of his cautious leadership style. Starmer has previously said he would fight any leadership election, but there are indications that he could instead set out a timetable for his departure on Monday. Foreign secretary Yvette Cooper, who Starmer has appointed to two of the so-called ‘great offices of state’ has told him to stand down, Sky News reported. US President Donald Trump has said Starmer has “failed badly” on immigration and energy policy. Labour MPs have set out opposing views online on whether Starmer should go, and if so, what the process should be to decide the next prime minister. An ally of Burnham will set out an ambitious plan to reverse four decades of privatisation on Monday, as the new MP for Makerfield will make his way down to the Commons for the first time since Thursday’s byelection
Climate scientists complain to all national news outlets their coverage of UK heat wave didn’t emphasise the need for urgent implementation of Net Zero policies enough. Climate scientist (gravy trainers) say news coverage ignores cause of UK heatwave Need for Net Zero policies in the UK is ‘indisputable’. A group of leading climate scientists have written to broadcast editors to express “concern” about recent UK heatwave coverage. The letter urged news organisations to better inform the public of the scientific links between extreme weather, climate change and net zero. It argued that news coverage “increasingly overlooks the fundamental ‘why’”. The letter, seen exclusively by Press Gazette, was sent by nine climate scientists including Liz Bentley, chief executive of the Royal Meterological Society (see the full letter and list of signatories below). They said that “the UK public are frequently not well served with clear information about the scientifically indisputable connection between greenhouse gas emissions and extreme heat. “News stories about heatwaves often do not mention the influence of climate change or the burning of fossil fuels on increased temperatures – for example, three in five stories during the May heatwave did not – while two-fifths of those about net zero make no mention of climate change. In this context, it is unsurprising that the public often do not understand these issues or the connection between them.” As well as making these links clear in heatwave coverage, the letter also urged visual imagery around extreme heat events to “reflect their serious health risks”. The letter was sent to editorial leaders at BBC News, ITV News, Channel 4 News, 5 News, Sky News and LBC owner Global. It was also shared with IPSO, which regulates many of the UK’s national and regional news providers, and broadcast regulator Ofcom. Press Gazette was able to find recent examples of heatwave coverage that link the extreme temperatures to climate change. Sky News science and technology editor Tom Clarke reported on how very high temperatures could become a regular feature of the UK’s weather cycles. An ITV News report on Tuesday featured climate experts warning “the worst is yet to come” and an online story said: “As our climate continues to warm, we can expect the chance of 40C heat to keep rising.” A Channel 4 News report noted that “the Met Office predicted that with climate change, the heatwaves of the future will be on a different level” and explained what that could look like. And Press Gazette understands that Wednesday’s 5 News evening bulletin will be dedicated to the heatwave with coverage framed through the context of climate change.
Royal expenses – tax they pay. King Charles’s tax bill: what did we learn, and what is still in the dark? We know the monarch paid £24.6m in tax over the last two years, but we still don’t know how wealthy he actually is Crown estate makes more than £1bn profit for third year running King Charles has become Britain’s first monarch in modern times to reveal how much tax he pays on his private income: £24.6m over the last two years. It’s a move celebrated by some as heralding an era of greater transparency from the monarchy. But just how open has it been? Why has the king published his tax bill? Buckingham Palace said that it was the “express wish” of the monarch to publish this piece of information. His aides say the decision is part of a wider drive to be more open with the public. Sceptics, however, point out that the royals have endured a run of bad publicity over Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, prompting MPs to demand more information about their finances. The king will also be aware of the need to assuage public opinion at a time when more Britons appear to be questioning the existence of the monarchy. How significant is the publication? The royal finances have been described as shrouded in fog, and Thursday’s tax declaration does little to clear it. British monarchs are not liable for tax, but the king and his mother before him started paying it voluntarily in 1993. The amount payable has been declared for the first time this year, but very little else has been revealed. All we have is a line in the royal household’s report, which states: “His majesty’s tax payable for 2024-25 was £12.9m (2023-24: £11.7m). The total amount of tax payable by his majesty since accession to the throne is more than £30m.” The income on which the king owes tax has not been declared. We know he received £25.2m from the Duchy of Lancaster in 2025-2026 (up from £24.4m the year before), but earnings from his private estate, which includes financial investments and property, remain under wraps. Another unanswered question is how much the king deducted from his Duchy income for official expenses. Any money spent in the course of his duties is tax exempt. It could amount to millions, but the figure hasn’t been declared. How wealthy is the monarch? The publication of the king’s tax bill will do little to illuminate the big question of how wealthy he is. The extent of his personal fortune is by and large concealed from public view. The Windsors’ personal finances have habitually been enveloped in entrenched secrecy. The Guardian, however, conducted a comprehensive audit of the king’s assets – from country piles and diamond-encrusted jewels, to paintings by Claude Monet and Salvador Dalí, Rolls-Royces, racehorses and rare stamps – in 2023. It estimated his personal wealth at £1.8bn. Buckingham Palace said the figure was a “highly creative mix of speculation, assumption and inaccuracy”, but that it had a policy of refusing to comment on the royal family’s personal finances.

With Matt Frei and Mark Urban’s unhinged Channel 4 News lies and propaganda, is the UK and Europe trying to provoke open war with Russia? Ukraine, Russia war. Teenage girls killed in strike on Russian school. London press coverage of Russia war. C4 Matt Frei interviews Nina from Ukraine – time for escalation of war. Matt Frei and Mark Urban discuss this and Ukraine war – Russia weakened. Musk turned off Starlink for Russia. UK and Europe’s involvement in Ukraine war. Russian stock market PLUMMETS: is Putin running out of options in Ukraine? Channel 4 News The Fourcast | Podcast Russia’s stock market has plummeted in recent days, hitting a three year low, mounting pressure on Vladimir Putin while Ukraine ramps up its long range drone attacks on critical infrastructure, including oil facilities around Moscow. Are the costs of the war becoming unbearable for Russia? Is Ukraine finding new ways to fight back? And if Putin believes time is no longer on his side, will he escalate? On this episode of The Fourcast Indicators, Matt Frei and Mark Urban are joined by Nina Khruscheva, professor of international affairs at The New School in New York. I don’t know. I mean I do you see the same way? I mean or is there um is there some gray fuzziness there? I I think what I see is uh for a whole host of reasons and they come together on the financial but exactly the connection you made with the loss of soldiers that the you know the larger that figure gets and you know a couple of weeks ago we had the head of GCHQ saying it was over 500,000 dead uh but but anyway big financial implications the increasing effectiveness of the deep strike uh drone uh offensive by the Ukrainians also by destroying all those oil storage depots and all those other bits of national infrastructure also financial implications as well as harming the prestige of Russia that Petersburg and Moscow can be hit in this in this very public way. A and then of course the the lowering of the oil price and the problems with the state budget. So all those things come together. Now, does he, as uh Nina was suggesting, escape the jam he’s in by either declaring some sort of martial law, finally abandoning the pretense that it’s a special military operation, saying we have to mobilize the whole of Russian, which may not work. I mean, you know, the reason why he hasn’t done that yet is because he thought he could get away with it cheaply because he’s thinking like a KGB officer. You know, you it’s not full scale war. It’s surreptitious. You know, it’s done through the back door. And I just want I mean but the thing that and there was a special mobilization a few months into the war there was uh well the the first autumn of the war 300,000 which yeah which I think caused a lot of bad feedback I think in but it was also in the outer provinces wasn’t it so I remember in Distan they were upset because and suddenly people started heading for the border because young men up to a certain age thought they were going to be called up but I also wonder and this is something that you know she referred to there the mystical side of of of Putin’s brain the mystical nature of this war and The thing that always struck me when I was in Ukraine as the war was breaking out was was, you know, this all this religious stuff. And there he was, you know, being filmed praying by himself in his own little socially distant chapel. You remember it was just after CO um and of course he spent COVID in lockdown rumaging through the archives of the Kremlin. They invited this extraordinary 6,000 word thesis on the Ruskimeir, the Russian world and the importance of Kev and Ukraine to it. And so part of me thinks that for him this is still, you know, Kev is the temple map. This is where he has to get back to. So he’s he’s not, you know, lost sight of the kind of bigger mystical historical prize…
Scott Ritter, on Judge Neapolitano, on saying Europe was like a rabid dog. a British guy on the panel had uh invoked nihilism first and um I was getting angry and angry. So I said the hell with it. I’m just going to bring up Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’. I said look um you know fence was an American lawyer. He believed in the rule of law just like these men do believe in the rule of law and law is important and we don’t have civilized society without the rule of law. But what the hell good does law do you when a rabid dog is running loose in the streets? And to kill a mockingb bird they turn to Attakus Finch to kill the dog. Not because of his legal pedigree, but because during World War I, he was the best shot in the unit and killed more Germans than anybody else. And when a rabid dogs running the street, the only solution is to shoot the dog. And I said, “Europe is the equivalent of a rabid dog and eventually it’s going to need to be shot.” Um, that caused alarm amongst everybody in the audience. Um, and I thought I would be kicked out of Russia, but apparently when they translated, it was sent up to higher levels. Um, I received an invitation to attend the plenary session and I got a second row seat, which is a very honorable place. So, some people were apparently happy with uh what I was saying. But that’s what I meant in Europe is behaving irresponsibly. But as I’ve pointed out, my name isn’t Vladimir Putin and I don’t have the weight of uh of Russia on my shoulders. I’m a military man and I see a rabbit dog in the street and I want to shoot the dog. But the question it has to ask be asked is then what? After you shoot the dog, then what? And if you’re going to attack Europe, then what? What are the prospects for a conclusion to the special military operation? That Russia is going to win 100%. The question is how that victory will be achieved. Um, will it be achieved by continuing the special military operation as it’s going now? Um, you know, we’re we’re we’re very close to to seeing the collapse of the Ukrainian.
Prof. Glenn Diesen, on Judge Neapolitano, on Russia. Russia with uh the British storm shadows which again can’t be fired and target locked in without uh British involvement. So Europe is already at war with Russia. They’re just they’re already attacking. The the only question is when does Russia retaliate? And I guess this is the kind of defense the Europeans are planning to retaliate against. That is when Russia finally does retaliate. You know, you mentioned the storm shadow. This is odd because at least to me it’s odd. Maybe you have an explanation. Uh the day before he resigned from office or announced this resignation, I suppose he’s not gone yet. British Prime Minister Starmer revealed this. Britain. I’m reading the headline from the Telegraph. Britain tests long range missiles to help Ukraine bomb Moscow. Experimental systems, each carrying a 250 kg warhead, could potentially reach Russian capital from Kev. Now, I’m not a mathematician, but I assume that this is a very powerful warhead and a very powerful uh weapon. And he announced this right before uh he left office. the these uh people I guess are serious in wanting to taunt and poke the Russian bear. Well, I think it’s gone way be beyond taunting. I think it’s quite evident that NATO has already gone to war with Russia. I mean, again, the the news article you’re posting there, it’s, you know, helping building long-range missiles to help Ukraine bomb Moscow. Keep in mind that we already know that it’s uh NATO war planners who are planning this war. We know that it’s western intelligence agencies which are helping to pick the targets. We know that it’s western satellites guiding these long-range missiles. uh this is uh even contractors which are used from western countries to launch
UKRAINE’S NAZI CULTURE IS DEEPLY EMBEDDED, DON’T DISHONOUR OUR WAR DEAD! Responsible Statecraft – Azov battalion in Ukraine – Nazi black sun symbol used in Ukrainian army. Ukraine’s military has a real Nazi problem In their zeal to deconstruct Russian propaganda, Western elites have tried to hide the fact there are Third Reich extremists among Kyiv’s ranks. When Vladimir Putin launched his invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, he claimed one of his goals was the country’s “denazification.” The Kremlin still uses this narrative as a cornerstone of its war propaganda. Both Ukraine and the West reacted by dismissing the claim outright as a cynical abuse of Holocaust history. Politicians, media outlets, academics, and educational institutions rushed to prove that Putin’s argument was fraudulent. But in their zeal to deconstruct Russian propaganda, Western elites created a propaganda myth of their own: there are no Nazis in Ukraine. Or, if there are, they are supposedly isolated cranks with no influence. This fiction required the whitewashing of Azov, a unit founded in 2014 by the neo-Nazi group Patriot of Ukraine under the leadership of Andriy Biletsky. Azov became notorious for extremist ideology, Nazi symbolism, and allegations of war crimes in the Donbas. In 2018, the U.S. Congress banned the group from receiving American weapons, funding, or training. After Russia’s full-scale invasion, that stigma vanished almost overnight. Kyiv repackaged Azov, separating the most radical elements into a new formation, the 3rd Assault Brigade. Western media rebranded and whitewashed it. The language of “de-radicalization” and “depoliticization” became mainstream. Questioning this narrative became taboo and labeled as “Russian propaganda.” The result is a culture of deliberate silence. Neo-Nazi networks are deeply embedded in parts of Ukraine’s military structure. Their presence is visible in units such as Azov, the Third Assault Brigade, the Russian Volunteer Corps, Bratstvo, the German Volunteer Corps, Karpatska Sich, and others. Yet Ukraine’s Western backers continue to arm, fund, and train these units without meaningful scrutiny. Even more striking is the normalization of Nazi imagery itself. Official Ukrainian military channels and mainstream media regularly publish images of soldiers wearing swastikas, Waffen-SS insignia, and patches linked to neo-Nazi groups like Combat 18 and Misanthropic Division. This is no longer treated as scandalous. It has been normalized. Most disturbing of all, some Ukrainian military units have incorporated Nazi-linked symbols into their official insignia. The far right and Ukraine’s military culture Many Ukrainian military units using Nazi symbols are led by men shaped by Azov and the far-right milieu around it. For example, there is Oleksandr Kravtsov, the well-known commander of the Vedmedi unit, which was part of Azov. His body is covered in Nazi imagery, including 1488 — references to the white supremacist “14 Words” slogan coined by David Lane and the coded salute “Heil Hitler.” (“H” is the eighth letter of the alphabet.) Tattooed across his chest is the SS motto: “My Honor Is Loyalty.” He turned that slogan into the motto of his own unit. SS lightning bolts became part of its official insignia…..

NOT The BCfm Politics Show CANCELLED and attempts to intimidate us
July 2024 – Tony, Dave and Martin’s NOT The BCfm Politics show was CANCELLED/EVICTED in a no fault, no notice, no appeal, eviction by The People’s Republic of Stokes Croft (PRSC) arts centre – An email from Chloe Slater and Keith Cowling explained that: ‘Transphobic’ leaflets had been left in the building by a recent guest (who denied it) making Transsexual users of the building feel ‘offended’ and ‘unsafe’. To quote: ‘Please let us know when you or Dave would like to come and retrieve your equipment and drop off your keys. Kind regards’ PRSC Directors (Keith Cowling, chair) PRSC / Stokes Croft China 17-35 Jamaica St Bristol BS2 8JP. Chloe Slater (formerly Jez and self-defined as ‘she’) also made it difficult for us to retrieve the last of our equipment by inferring we couldn’t be trusted, we were made to wait outside their building for over 30 minutes to return their mixing desk in December 2024.

March 2020 – BCfm’s weekly Politics Show presented by Tony Gosling with Irish Republican Labour activist Martin Summers was forced off FM, now online only by station manager Pat Hart. He decided the show should be ‘rested, due to the pandemic’ on 24 March 2020 and then refused to communicate at all when we requested to do the show remotely. Bristol Community FM (BCfm) charity ‘CEO’ Patrick Hart is a longtime personal friend of Bristol’s all-powerful right-wing ‘Labour’ mayor Marvin Rees. Now on Internet only NOT The BCfm Politics Show is available 17:00-c. 21:00 live on Fridays. Pat Hart replaced us with an inane student show repeating MSM stories called The Bristol Agenda. If you’d like to share your views on his deliberate dumbing-down and pro-Covid jab mismanagement you can contact UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom or BCfm board chair and the ‘Don’ himself, here.
February 2019 – Ofcom complaint result: UKLFI exposed as creation of Israeli foreign ministry – Bristol Post article: BCfm cleared after being reported to Ofcom for anti-semitic conspiracy theories – It could have resulted in BCfm radio station being shut down if the complaint was upheld Tony Gosling reported to Ofcom by UK Lawyers for Israel after being accused of anti-semitism A Bristol radio station, which had one of its programmes reported for anti-semitism and racism has been cleared by Ofcom. The radio regulatory body received a complaint from “UK Lawyers for Israel’ over a show on BCfm radio, hosted by investigative journalist Tony Gosling. The weekly politics show, on the popular community radio station based in Easton, was reported for several allegations on a show which aired on November 23. Tony Gosling, who was a former BBC journalist between 1989 and 1993, has been producing and presenting ‘The Tony Gosling Politics’ show every week on BCFM radio for 11 years. They have released a statement which reads: “Whilst we are supportive of all our volunteer presenters, The Tony Gosling Politics Show only represents approximately ten percent of our political output content wise, and less than two per cent of our entire weekly output.” Mr Gosling’s programme looks at local politics and he interviews a range of councillors and MPs in the city. The show is also perhaps more well known for its alternative look at international politics, and he has a cult following online from across the world. Mr Gosling has made regular appearances on national media including the politics show with Andrew Neil on BBC One, and international channels such as Russia Today, Channel1 Russia, NTV, and recently for both Turkish and Lebanon TV.
November 2012 – Tony gets death threats on the phone from the Jewish Defence League – ‘you’re a dead man walking’ – a man calls him and Tony records the call. Audio of UK Jewish Defence League (JDL) death threat against British journalist Tony Gosling (2012) – Avon and Somerset police Special Branch investigate, trace the caller, and after six months report to Tony that the individual has been served a caution that they will proceed with a prosecution for harassment under the 1861 offences against the person act. Seems pretty clear this death threat was issued alongside the lies, copied below, which were published on their blog by London based UK JDL in November 2012. Firstly Tony Gosling is not a ‘homophobe’. That accusation was first made in an article published by the ‘Harry’s Place’ blog, penned by Zionist David Toube and propelled by him anonymously into Private Eye in 2008. It refers to Gosling’s criticism of senior teachers at Bannerman Road Primary school in Bristol who used homosexual early learning picture books against the express wishes of the parent governors. His criticism was about the deception by teaching staff not because of the homosexual content of the books. Secondly, if you follow the JDL link you’ll find what Tony Gosling actually says about the ‘Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion’ says “…I don’t think there is much doubt that the Protocols are fake…” Thirdly he is not a member of Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign and has never been to any of their meetings.
Autumn 2014 – Tony’s documentary production and distribution business shut down by its bank. Our thriving Co-op business bank account ordered closed for undisclosed reasons. Tony Gosling and Ben Edwards founded i-Contact Video Network to distribute documentaries on VHS video and DVD and to make their own documentaries as well as attend news events and sell video footage to TV news channels. Amongst the films we distributed were Operation Solstice, Coconut Revolution, Mark Purdey and Organophosphates, McLibel, 9/11 In Plane Site, Ludicrous Diversion and The Battle of Trafalgar. These, plus books, and even a board game about drug dealing ‘Dollars and Dibble’, were all available via mail order and we supplied libraries around the world too. The bank had clearly been ordered to investigate us for money laundering, although they never admitted it. All the questions they asked Ben and I were about proving our identity through passports etc.. When we did, yet more letters kept arriving demanding more proofs, birth certificates etc. and eventually when one of us missed supplying the required information, within a week or so of being asked, the account was summarily closed and we got a cheque made out to one of us with the few hundred pounds that was in the business bank account. Since neither of us could get a business bank account up and running for at least a few months and the bank account meant nobody could any longer use the website, we made the reluctant decision to shut it down. Thus was a thriving business killed off by the Co_operative bank. Having said that, co-op were not quite the worst. We did apply to open an account at Bristol’s ‘ethical’ Triodos bank, who proceeded to string us along for several months and then said our business was too risky for them to provide an account!
