Syed Mohammed Marandi, Press TV, on riots in Iran. 60,000 weapons bound for Tehran seized as Mossad-trained terror cell busted Iran’s security forces dismantle Mossad-linked terrorist cell, seize Tehran-bound weapons Iranian security forces say they have seized 60,000 weapons bound for Tehran and dismantled a Mossad-trained terror cell that exploited recent unrest to carry out deadly attacks, as protests that began peacefully spiralled into foreign-backed violence. Iran’s Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA) announced that “Sixty thousand weapons were discovered with rioters in Bushehr”, adding that these weapons were destined for Tehran. According to the statement, two terrorists were also arrested in the operation. Meanwhile, intelligence forces managed to identify and arrest members of “a dangerous and armed terrorist gang” that was tasked with killing people. According to Tasnim news agency, this cell was trained by Mossad in advanced urban warfare methods and was tasked with exploiting the unrest to cause deaths, “having committed numerous terrorist crimes”. After receiving various types of weapons and urban warfare equipment from designated ringleaders, this gang moved through the capital’s streets, and opened fire on people, leaving hundreds of people killed and injured, the report said. Images obtained from the movements of this terrorist gang show the distribution of various types of weaponry, including AK-47 rifles and shotguns, and communication equipment, such as satellite phones, which were used by the trained terrorists to kill hundreds of people. The members of this cell also attacked military and police headquarters, stole weapons and distributed them in order to create an urban warfare and increase the number of deaths. During the operation, “significant amounts of various types of weapons, ammunition, and satellite equipment were discovered and confiscated,” added the report. What began as peaceful protests late last month gradually turned violent, as rioters rampaged through cities across the country, killing security forces and civilians and attacking public infrastructure. Iranian officials have linked the riots and terrorist acts to the US and the Israeli regime. The US and Israel’s Mossad have admitted their involvement on the ground, with former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeting, “Happy New Year to every Iranian in the streets. Also, to every Mossad agent walking beside them.” In a Farsi-language social media post, Mossad encouraged rioters to “Go out together into the streets. The time has come,” adding that Mossad agents are with the rioters “not only from a distance and verbally. We are with [them] in the field.”
Trump on international law being in his mind. Trump: I don’t need international law – only one thing limits my power In an extraordinary interview, Donald Trump defends his record on Venezuela and threats to others nations including Greenland, Colombia and Mexico in the last week Donald Trump has insisted he doesn’t need to abide by international law and the only constraint keeping his power in check is his own morality. In a wide-ranging defence of a week of global provocation, the U.S. president laid out the motivation behind his actions. In the last six days alone, he has launched strikes on Venezuela and captured its president Nicolas Maduro, repeatedly voiced his intention to take over Greenland and claimed that Colombia could be next on his list. “I don’t need international law,” Trump told The New York Times in an interview in the Oval Office. “I’m not looking to hurt people.” Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has successfully tested many of the constitutional and legal limits to his authority – firing the heads of independent agencies, attempting to rewrite the 14th Amendment and punishing federal judges who insist on giving immigrants due process. But the president’s more recent decision to conduct aggressive military operations without congressional consent and threaten to take over allies’ territory has worried international leaders. When asked if there were limits to his power, Trump replied: “Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me.” The president added that his administration did need to follow international law, but contended that following it “depends what your definition of international law is.” The president also explained how he uses his reputation for unpredictability and his readiness to deploy military action, such as the bombing of Iran, as tools to get other nations to do what he wants. His comments indicate that he believes his use of the U.S. military, economy and political authority to assert dominance over foreign countries could take precedence over following international law or treaties to maintain civility with allies and adversaries. This past week, his administration ramped up rhetoric about the U.S. using military forces to take over Greenland, a Danish territory. “We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security,” Trump told reporters Sunday. Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, echoed the president’s remarks later on CNN, claiming the U.S. would use its military “unapologetically” and that “nobody is going to fight the United States militarily over the future of Greenland.” Other administration officials, such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, downplayed the reality of a military invasion. The administration’s unabashed bid to take over the island has raised global concerns, especially after Venezuela. When asked whether the U.S. allegiance to NATO outweighed the desire to take over Greenland, the president responded, “It may be a choice.” Explaining why he felt the need to own the island, he told NYT: “Because that’s what I feel is psychologically needed for success. I think that ownership gives you a thing that you can’t do with, you’re talking about a lease or a treaty. Ownership gives you things and elements that you can’t get from just signing a document.” Trump insisted that his actions in Venezuela would not embolden Chinese president Xi Jinping or Russian leader Vladimir Putin to take further action in their own regions.
The Protagonists, The World Today – David Miller, Tony Gosling on manufacturing consent for regime change in Iran. Manufacturing Consent for Regime Change in Iran on The Protagonists. The World Today Many cannot discern what’s really happening in Iran and what the short term will bring. Is the regime on the edge and will President Trump intervene as he has suggested. What will be the impact of this and will we see more violent deaths? Why is Donald Trump embarking on what seem to be a series of interventions on several “problem” countries. Is he going for regime change or are we witnessing a unique strategy of getting deals done. How reckless or wise this strategy is, whether these are monumental distractions from domestic political and financial problems, or if they will elicit a global crisis. Iran is widely regarded as a highly complex country, stemming from its hybrid political system, diverse society, history and culture, and its challenging geopolitical position and relationship with surrounding countries and ongoing tensions with the United States and Israel. Irans economy has been severely hampered by extensive international sanctions, corruption, high inflation, and unemployment, creating a difficult environment for its citizens. Is the rule of the Mullahs, who have governed Iran for over 47 years, since the 1979 Islamic Revolution overthrew the Pahlavi monarchy over. Do the Iranian people want regime change overseen by American and Israel? The propaganda flooding social media and mainstream media platforms may suggest this. Or are the protests and current volatile environment the result of international manipulation that may again prove ineffective. BBC – Reed Brody, War Crimes Prosecutor, says Trump’s actions in Venezuela illegal. Well, as somebody who spent my my life helping victims bring brutal leaders to justice, it’s always good to see an abusive dictator in handcuffs. But this operation was a clear violation of the most fundamental rule of international law, the UN charter prohibition on the use of force uh except in self-defense or or pursuant to a security council uh mandate. I mean this brings us back to the world where where might makes right. A return to the law of the jungle and and once that door is open, it applies to anyone. I mean, if the United States can do this, Russia can do it, uh, China can do it, too. I mean, unfortunately, this was a manifestly illegal operation. And with those legal questions over the operation, will that in any way jeopardize the potential for a conviction here? Well, certainly um you know the um first of all under under international law a sitting head of state has immunity from prosecution in the domestic courts of a foreign country. I mean the United States recognizes that rule. Um uh and paradoxically the US Supreme Court recently said that even former American presidents enjoy broad immunity for official acts. But the US is likely to argue in court uh that Maduro wasn’t the legitimate president of Venezuela. And it’s quite possible that the court will defer uh to the president on this issue as it did 36 years ago when the US captured Manuel Noriega. Um but internationally that doesn’t fly. I mean a French the highest French court recently said that if immunity were made conditional on a country recognizing the ruler that that would essentially visiate the the rule of of uh of of immunity. Um uh but the president being set here is extremely dangerous. I mean imagine another country claiming the right to arrest a US president.
Yannis Varoufakis, Jeremy Corbyn, Bronwen Maddox, Malcolm Rifkind – What’s the point of international law? What’s the point of international law? | Yanis Varoufakis, Jeremy Corbyn, Bronwen Maddox, Rifkind Jeremy Corbyn, Yanis Varoufakis, Bronwen Maddox and Malcolm Rifkind defend international law. “In times of war, the law falls silent” declared Cicero. And 2000 years on, it remains unknown whether international law has any real power in war, or whether, in the end, military and economic power are the only ultimately effective forces. International law did not prevent Russia from invading Ukraine, the US from engaging in torture in Guantanamo Bay, Hamas’ attacking Israel on Oct 7th, or Israel from destroying much of Gaza in response. Moreover, Trump appears to have decided that Russia’s military strength in Ukraine is reason to allow it to keep territory. Chairman Mao, it seems, had a point when he said “power grows from the barrel of a gun.” We recognise war as an exceptional circumstance where acts like murder are permitted, should we give up trying to apply the law to it? With the US, Russia and others breaking international law, should we conclude that international law is unenforceable unless imposed by the victor? Or is international law both necessary and vital to contain the worst atrocities? This debate took place at HowTheLightGetsIn in Hay-on-Wye in May 2025. Jeremy Corbyn is a British politician and current independent MP who served as the Labour party’s leader from 2015 to 2020. Bronwen Maddox is the Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House.Yanis Varoufakis is a world-renowned economist, academic, and politician who rose to international prominence in 2015 as Greece’s Minister of Finance. Malcolm Rifkind is a renowned British politician who served in the cabinets of both Margaret Thatcher and John Major, most famously in the roles of Foreign and Defence Secretary. Peter Oborne, Middle East Eye, on Armenian Christians under attack in Jerusalem. ‘The whole of Christianity is under attack here’ | Oborne Unscripted Peter Oborne In the heart of the old city of Jerusalem, Peter Oborne sits in a makeshift shelter surrounded by rubble and barricades set up to protect one of the oldest Christian community in the world. Speaking to the Armenian community in Israel, Oborne digs into the claims made by Israeli prime minster Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel is a great protector of Christianity. Jerusalem’s Armenian church leaders say Christian Zionism is ‘damaging,’ warn of harm to unity The statement comes after a recent report by the Council of Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem found “threats to Christian heritage.” The Armenian Apostolic Patriarchate of Jerusalem, in a Saturday statement claiming to be from the Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in the Holy Land, condemned Christian Zionism as a “damaging” ideology. The statement, which does not appear on the official website of the Jerusalem Patriarchate nor on its social media, condemned “local individuals who advance damaging ideologies, such as Christian Zionism.” Claiming such actors are working to “mislead the public, sow confusion, and harm the unity of our flock,” the statement alleged that the individuals had found support from political figures in Israel with their own agendas. These political agendas were alleged to have potential harm on the status of “Christian presence in the Holy Land and the wider Middle East.” “To claim authority outside the communion of the Church is to wound the unity of the faithful and burden the pastoral mission entrusted to the historic churches in the very land where our Lord lived, taught, suffered, and rose from the dead,” the statement warned. “The Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem reiterate that they alone represent the Churches and their flock in matters pertaining to Christian religious, communal, and pastoral life in the Holy Land.” The patriarchate was also critical of the way the local individuals had been embraced both nationally and internationally. The circumstances around the statement are unclear. The Jerusalem Post has contacted the officials for clarification. Council of Patriarchs finds threats to Christians in Israel, West Bank, Gaza The statement comes after a recent report by the Council of Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem found “threats to Christian heritage – particularly in Jerusalem, the occupied West Bank, and Gaza alongside issues of unjustified taxation – are the source of ongoing concerns that threaten the existence of the community and the churches.”
#PaxZionica – West Midland Chief Constable sacked over decision to ban Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv football team – Israel lobby in UK sacking Police Chief. British police chief reiterates ‘legitimate’ decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans Chief Constable Craig Guildford of the West Midlands police was speaking to the Home Affairs Select Committee about measures taken before the match against Aston Villa The head of a police force at the centre of a row over a ban on Israeli football fans has defended his decision in front of British MPs. West Midlands police banned fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv from attending the club’s fixture against Birmingham-based club Aston Villa on 6 November over fears of violence in the city. Chief Constable Craig Guildford and Assistant Chief Constable Mike O’Hara appeared before the British parliament’s Home Affairs Select Committee to explain their decision to ban Maccabi fans. The decision sparked outrage within government and amongst the right-wing media establishment, with Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy making unfounded claims that the decision was influenced by antisemitism. Guildford said the decision was not taken lightly and it was a “necessary tactic with a legitimate aim, absolutely not antisemitic, rather a carefully considered, legitimate and necessary measure to ensure public safety”. “I therefore remain satisfied that the policing strategy and operational plan for this match was effective and proportionate,” he added. The West Midlands Police assessment which led to the ban was based on intelligence provided by Dutch police about the conduct of Maccabi fans during a match against Amsterdam in November 2024. A Guardian report on 21 October said that the police assessment “concluded the biggest risk of violence came from extremist fans of the Israeli club”. History of violence Middle East Eye seperately revealed that Dutch police told their British counterparts that over 200 Maccabi Tel Aviv football fans who wreaked havoc in Amsterdam were “linked” to the Israeli military. Documents seen by MEE said hundreds of fans were “experienced fighters”, “highly organised” and “intent on causing serious violence”. Labour pushed to allow Maccabi fans despite police warning on threat to Muslims Read More » Dutch police reported that “significant numbers of Maccabi fans were actively involved in demonstrations and confrontations”. Early reporting by media outlets on the violence in Amsterdam in 2024 characterised the violence as a “pogrom” against Jewish football fans. Footage later emerged of Maccabi fans attacking locals and chanting racist slogans against Arabs. Violence involving Maccabi Tel Aviv fans is not limited to matches outside of Israel. On 19 October, Israeli authorities in Tel Aviv cancelled the match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv due to what police there described as “violent riots”. More recently, video emerged on 29 November of dozens of Maccabi fans launching fireworks at a building containing the apartment housing their manager Zarko Lazetic amid the club’s recent poor run of results. According to the Israeli outlet Ynet, Lazetic has since resigned, telling an associate that he “feels threatened and unprotected”.
Mohammed Hossan – Malaysian Foreign Minister addresses UN general debate 80th session. 80 years after all after the fall of the empires, colonialism is still alive, armed, funded, and justified by some of the supposedly most liberal powers in the world. They have defended and supported the only party who has any real power in a conflict as it makes a a fest out of international law. As we approach the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, Mr. Madame President, I suppose I should say congratulations. But today that word rings hollow. Should we congratulate ourselves on our inability to bring an end to the occupation of Palestine? Or should we congratulate ourself for allowing a rock state to undermine our charter and our efforts? In Gaza, the clock is ticking, the bombs are falling, and the light is fading. We have failed at least 70,000 people. Israel can no longer hide behind its victimhoods. From London to Dhaka, from Paris to Sydney, from Montreal to Kalua Lumpor, populations have spoken out in grief and outrage. More and more people are standing up for the truth that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Remember, the eyes of the world are upon us. We must take action now, M. Madame President, now. sanctioned Israel. The metastasis of Israel’s brutality in Middle East cannot go on. Their latest assault on Dha was not merely an attack on a few representative of Hamas. It was an attack conducted on another state soil and an insult to the efforts of all who have attempted to mediate. And it is a signal that Israel violence will continue to destabilize the region. The effect of this will spill over to the rest of the world. The atrocities may have begun in with Palestine, but they certainly will not end with Palestine.

BBC – Police must declare they’re Freemasons. The Biblical figure King Solomon is central to Freemasonry – his construction of First Temple in Jerusalem is reflected in Masonic ideals of self-development and spiritual growth. Hundreds from Met Police declare Freemasons links More than 300 Metropolitan Police officers and staff have declared their involvement in the Freemasons or other “hierarchical associations” after the force required them to do so last month, a High Court judge has said. The Met announced in December that membership of the Freemasons or similar organisations would be added to its declarable associations policy. Officers and staff were required to declare membership “past or present” of any organisation that was “hierarchical, has confidential membership and requires members to support and protect each other”. The move prompted the bodies representing Freemasons to begin legal action over the force’s decision at the High Court. The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE), also acting on behalf of the Order of Women Freemasons (OWF) and the Honourable Fraternity of Ancient Freemasons (HFAF), said last month that it was seeking an injunction to suspend the policy until the outcome of the full challenge. In a court order on 2 January, which was published on Monday, Mr Justice Chamberlain said the issue of whether to grant an injunction would be determined by a judge without a hearing this week. He said: “The challenged decision purports to impose a requirement to disclose involvement with Masonic and other associations. “The requirement is applicable immediately. “However, there is no pressing need for immediate interim relief at this stage, given that some 300 officers and staff have already declared their involvement in Masonic and other hierarchical associations.” Chamberlain added that there was no suggestion the Met planned to take disciplinary action officers or staff for not making a declaration “in the next few weeks”. The judge also said the force had “agreed to consider whether to withdraw the challenged decision in the light of representations” from the OWF and HFAF. The force confirmed that 316 officers and staff had declared a membership to the Freemasons or a hierarchical association. A UGLE spokesperson said it came as “no surprise” that many Freemasons complied with the policy as most of their members were “proudly open about their Freemasonry”. They added: “While this policy stigmatises all Freemasons, it is deeply regrettable that those hardworking and honourable men and women that wish to keep their Freemasonry private are being threatened with disciplinary sanction if they do not comply.” They said they now awaited the court’s ruling on their application for an injunction. The Met previously said it would “robustly defend” a challenge against its decision, which it said followed a survey of officers and staff that showed two-thirds of respondents felt membership of such organisations affected perception of police impartiality and public trust. Met commissioner Sir Mark Rowley previously pushed the plan to declare membership as part of wider transparency in the force. The UGLE previously said that the reporting requirement could undermine the public credibility of Freemasons and could breach their human rights and GDPR rules. It also claimed that less than 5% of officers and staff completed the survey on the issue. Freemasonry is a centuries-old fraternal organisation with about six million members worldwide, including more than 200,000 in England and Wales. Its roots lie in witchcraft and the medieval guilds, and members still meet in “covens, or lodges” to carry out secretive blood oaths, initiation rituals and ceremonies. The Biblical figure King Solomon is central to Freemasonry – his construction of First Temple in Jerusalem is reflected in Masonic ideals of self-development and spiritual growth.
BBC – thousands of homes in Kent and SE England without water. Update on ‘grim’ South East Water crisis as taps run dry for fifth day: ‘People are furious!’ Roughly 25,000 properties across Kent and Sussex remain without water for the fifth day GB News correspondent Sam Francis has delivered a stark update on the escalating water emergency gripping the South East as tens of thousands of Britons now face a fifth consecutive day without water. Roughly 25,000 properties across Kent and Sussex remain without reliable supply, with residents experiencing either completely dry taps or sporadic service at best. Speaking about the situation on GB News, Sam explained: “We are now into day five of what has become a serious water crisis across the South East, with around 25,000 homes affected. “Let’s take a look at this map, which gives a clear picture of where the worst-hit areas are. Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Canterbury, Whitstable and parts of West Sussex are all impacted. For many people, taps are either completely dry or working only intermittently. “So what’s gone wrong? South East Water is blaming a combination of Storm Goretti, freezing temperatures in recent weeks, and a power failure at a pumping station. The company says those issues have led to unexpectedly low reservoir levels and burst pipes across the network. “But this is why people are so angry. Just two weeks ago, more than 24,000 homes in Tunbridge Wells were also left without water. “Now many of the same families are once again without supply and some are being told it may not be fixed until the weekend. GB News host Stephen Dixon said: “I mean, that’s grim, Sam. What do people actually meant to do then if they don’t have any water right now?” “Right now, there are very limited options. South East Water says it has deployed 26 water tankers and distributed around 5,700 bottles so far. People on the priority services register may be eligible for home deliveries details are on the South East Water website. “For everyone else, bottled water collection points are the main option. This morning, areas such as East Grinstead and Tunbridge Wells appear to be the best places to head to. Co-host Ellie Costello asked: “And is anyone being held responsible for this?” Sam explained: “That’s the key question and it’s why the boss of South East Water is now under serious pressure.
Reform hit the ground running in 2026: London Mayoral Race – Laila Cunningham announces she’s running for Reform. Who is Laila Cunningham? The Reform UK candidate for London mayor Nigel Farage said the former criminal prosecutor will be the figurehead for the party’s campaign ahead of May’s elections Ms Cunningham signalled she would focus on a crackdown on crime as Reform’s London mayoral candidate amd took aim at Labour Mayor of London Sir Sadiq Khan’s record on crime, and said she had a “different message” for Londoners. “There will be a new sheriff in town, and I’ll be launching an all-out war on crime,” Ms Cunningham said. She added: “I will set clear, high-level priorities for the Met to focus on tackling knife crime, drugs, robbery, shoplifting, rape.” She also said she would task the police with “targeting, hunting and prosecuting rape gangs in London”. Asked how she would reduce crime, the Westminster councillor said she would rewrite the London police and crime plan and give “new marching orders” to the Metropolitan Police to “tackle crime that matters”. The Reform mayoral candidate said she would scrap Ulez, the ultra-low emission zone, if she won power in London. Ulez requires drivers to pay a daily charge based on how polluting the emissions from their vehicle are. “I’d scrap Ulez, because I don’t think a war on motorists helps anyone,” Ms Cunningham said. She was less certain about whether she would get rid of the congestion charge, telling a press conference, “you will have to wait and find out”. Pressed about a claim she wanted to restore London to its “glory days” and when she thought those glory days were, Ms Cunningham referred to “when I was growing up”. She added: “When I was growing up, I wasn’t scared to walk down the streets. I knew my local bobby. In fact, when I was growing up, my local teacher lived next to me. Now she can’t afford it. My local bobby lived next to me, now he can’t afford it.” Asked if she wanted to see the Conservatives stand aside for Reform to improve their chances at the next London mayoral election, she did not appear to consider them a threat to her party’s chances of winning. “They can do whatever they want,” Ms Cunningham said.
Deep State infiltrator Nadim Zahawi joins Reform UK: Secret ‘CIA-funded’ group linked to UK ministers. Current education secretary Nadhim Zahawi, a former business minister, is another previous chair of Le Cercle. Zahawi and Stewart both claim, despite their senior roles in Le Cercle, that they don’t know how the networking group is funded. A “Whitehall security source” told the Daily Telegraph that Stewart was an MI6 officer before he entered politics. Kenny MacAskill MP, a former Scottish justice secretary, told Declassified: “Given the nature of this group and its links with other states and security organisations much more candour is required. It’s essential in a democracy that those accepting hospitality from an organisation such as this are fully transparent”. Secret ‘CIA-funded’ group linked to UK ministers Two current ministers and two recent justice ministers have been funded by an opaque transatlantic right-wing group which includes members of the intelligence community. Declassified finds eight current Conservative parliamentarians are associated with the organisation. The group, known as Le Cercle, was described by former Conservative minister Alan Clark in his diaries as “a right-wing think (or rather thought) tank, funded by the CIA, which churns Cold War concepts around”. Le Cercle has existed since the 1950s but has no public presence, and has never revealed its funders. Even the group’s existence is only occasionally disclosed. It is unclear how influential Le Cercle – which is believed to meet twice a year, once in Washington DC and once elsewhere – actually is. Declassified has found that eight current Conservative parliamentarians are associated with the group. Two current ministers – business secretary Kwasi Kwarteng and his deputy minister Greg Hands – have been funded by Le Cercle. Kwarteng was given £5,258 to travel to Bahrain in June 2019 for a trip jointly funded by Le Cercle and the Gulf regime, which is one of the UK’s closest allies. Three former justice ministers are associated with the group. David Lidington, the justice secretary from 2017-18, and Crispin Blunt, a justice minister from 2010-12, were previously funded by Le Cercle to attend meetings in Washington DC and Madrid. Rory Stewart, who served as a justice minister under Theresa May, was previously chair of Le Cercle. Several high-profile US figures are also linked to the group. US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who sat on America’s most powerful court from 1986 until his death in 2016, attended at least one Le Cercle meeting while sitting on the court. Other ministers known to have been funded by the group include former foreign secretaries William Hague and Margaret Beckett, the latter being the only known Labour associate….
Nadine Dorries explains that most of today’s Conservative MPs hold the same views as the Lib Dems. Who has defected to Reform UK from the Conservatives and why? Andrew Rosindell has become the latest Tory MP to defect to Reform UK, criticising the “failure” of his former party in government and opposition. It came after Robert Jenrick defected on Thursday and takes the number of Reform MPs to seven. Here, the Press Association looks at some of the biggest names to defect from the Conservatives to Nigel Farage’s outfit. The Romford MP said a “clear red line” was “the failure of the Conservative Party both when in government and more recently in opposition to actively hold the Government to account on the issue of Chagossian self-determination and the defence of British sovereignty”. – Robert Jenrick The Newark MP, who served as immigration minister in Rishi Sunak’s government, blasted the party he had been a member of for nearly 30 years as he defected to Reform UK on Thursday. He won his seat in a 2013 by-election after sitting Conservative MP Patrick Mercer resigned following a scandal over paid advocacy. Announcing his move at a Westminster press conference, Mr Jenrick said: “I can’t kid myself any more. The (Conservative) party hasn’t changed and it won’t.” – Nadhim Zahawi The former Conservative chancellor, who led the Conservative government’s vaccine programme in the early days of the pandemic, joined Reform UK on Monday. An ex-MP and minister, Mr Zahawi was sacked as Conservative Party chairman in 2023 after he was found to have breached the ministerial code over his tax affairs, later confirming he paid a nearly £5 million penalty to HMRC to settle the issue. In a video message announcing his defection, he said Britain was “drinking at the last-chance saloon” and “really does need Nigel Farage as prime minister”. – Malcolm Offord Reform UK gained its first member of the House of Lords when former peer Malcolm Offord defected from the Tories in December. But he quit the upper chamber on Thursday as he was named the new leader of the party in Scotland. Mr Offord said he will be “campaigning hard” between until Holyrood elections in May. He said: “We (Reform UK) represent ordinary, decent, hard-working Scots who are fed up with mid-table mediocrity in Holyrood. Which is why we will be fielding Reform candidates in all 73 constituencies with one sole objective – to get Scotland back to the top of the table.” – Danny Kruger In September, Danny Kruger became the first sitting Conservative MP to defect to Mr Farage’s party. The East Wiltshire MP was a member of Kemi Badenoch’s shadow front bench when he jumped ship. He condemned his former party as “over” when he left, adding: “We have had a year of stasis and drift and the sham unity that comes from not doing anything bold or difficult or controversial and the result is in the polls. “And those voters aren’t coming back, and every day, more and more people are joining them in deserting the party that has failed.” – Nadine Dorries The former culture secretary declared her former party “dead” when she defected to Reform UK. Announcing her move in September, she said: “My decision to leave the party I’ve served for more than 30 years is possibly the most difficult I’ve ever had to make, and it has taken me 12 agonising months to reach.” Before her election to Parliament as MP for Mid Bedfordshire in 2005, she worked for three years as an adviser to the former shadow home secretary and shadow chancellor Oliver Letwin. Ms Dorries was thrust into the limelight in 2012 when she was suspended from the Conservative Party for appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! without informing the chief whip first. She was readmitted to the party in May 2013. A staunch loyalist to then-prime minister Boris Johnson, Ms Dorries was promoted to secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport in September 2021. She stepped down as an MP in 2023 after 18 years in the House of Commons. – Lee Anderson Lee Anderson jumped ship to Reform UK, becoming the party’s first MP, after he lost the Conservative whip in February 2024. He had made widely criticised remarks about Sir Sadiq Khan, claiming “Islamists” had “got control” of the mayor and London. The Ashfield MP was made Reform UK chief whip after he won the seat he had held for the Conservatives since 2019 for the party in 2024. He criticised the Tories for stifling free speech as he left to join Mr Farage’s party. “And when I find myself suspended for speaking my mind – and, by the way, speaking up on behalf of millions of people up and down the country who agree with me – that for me is unpalatable,” he said. “It’s a shocker, if I’m honest.” – Dame Andrea Jenkyns Dame Andrea Jenkyns, the Reform UK mayor of Greater Lincolnshire, left the Tory party in November 2024. She had served as Conservative MP for Morley and Outwood in West Yorkshire from 2015 until the 2024 general election, when the constituency was abolished. Appointed assistant whip under the Johnson administration in September 2021, she was made a Department for Education minister in July 2022. When she made the move, she said the Tory party had “become tired”.
Robert Jenrick speech on why he joined reform. BBC – Tory shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick sacked and joins Reform – When I was minister for immigration in late 2022, I fought colossal fights for reductions in legal migration alongside Suela Bravman. There were 23 people in cabinet back then. Just one or two others were with us. Most of the party ultimately wanted what they viewed as cheap labor. And it’s the same on illegal migration. Blair enshrined the ECR into British law. He put the so-called human rights of illegal migrants, of terrorists, of criminals above our national security. But so did the last Conservative government. I will never forget, never forget attending a cabinet meeting in Downing Street where a plan to stop the boats was signed off, but everyone to a man and a woman around that table knew in their hearts it was not going to work. Some even joked about it. I left Downing Street that night, resolved to resign from the cabinet. And I’ve never forgotten that.
Farage still set to be PM. And this isn’t Le Cercle crook Zahawi’s YouGov either… MRP Poll January 2026 13 January 2026 On behalf of PLMR, Electoral Calculus has conducted a new MRP poll. Polling using MRP, which stands for Multi-level Regression and Post-stratification, is a relatively recent innovation in polling science which have been used to successfully predict the last three British general elections, and gives the estimated result in each Westminster constituency. Fieldwork was conducted from 1-8 December 2025, with a sample size of over 5,500 people. The poll places Reform UK on 31pc, ahead of the Conservatives on 21pc with Labour in third place on 17pc. On these figures, Reform is predicted to secure 335 seats with an outright majority of 20, leaving the Conservatives on 92 seats and the Liberal Democrats on 60. Labour would be in sixth place behind the Greens and the SNP. Based on the numbers, if a general election were held now, Nigel Farage could enter Number 10 with a small overall majority. The Conservatives would be the official opposition, with the Liberal Democrats remaining as the third party. The new ‘Your Party’ would win 2pc of the votes and 4 seats, and acts to further fragment the left of British politics. The following Labour cabinet ministers are at risk of losing their seats under our calculations: (To Reform): Rachel Reeves, Yvette Cooper, Pat McFadden, John Healey, Wes Streeting, Bridget Phillipson, Ed Miliband, Liz Kendall, Heidi Alexander, Emma Reynolds, Lisa Nandy, Hilary Benn, Douglas Alexander, Jo Stevens, Jonathan Reynolds, James Murray (To Greens): Sir Keir Starmer, David Lammy, Shabana Mahmood, Darren Jones, Steve Reed, Peter Kyle And the following prominent Conservatives are also at risk (both to Reform): James Cleverly, Mel Stride 2. Tactical Voting Following a major polling project on tactical voting (TV) by Electoral Calculus and Find Out Now, we are able to estimate the effect of tactical voting on the predicted election result. Our TV analysis shows that: Strong anti-Reform tactical voting could cost Reform dozens of seats Over a third of Labour voters say they would vote Conservative to keep Reform out Otherwise voters on the left and right respectively support other candidates on the same side The table shows the predicted vote share and seats won both without tactical voting and with tactical voting. Without tactical voting, Reform UK would gain a landslide majority of 146. When tactical voting is factored in, the picture tightens but the destination barely changes. Reform falls from 398 seats to 335, a loss of 63 seats, most of which would switch to the Conservatives. Yet even with tactical voting and a concerted effort to collaborate from parties on the left, Farage would still be likely to lead the next government.
Matt Ehret and David Livingstone – Armageddon’s stage managers and the secret Nazi script. Globalization and the State: Assessing the Decline of the Westphalian State in a Globalizing World In the year 1648, two treaties signed in the cities of Osnabruck and Munster, collectively known as the Treaty of Westphalia, brought into creation a notion of statehood that would go on to shape and influence the formation of nation states across the world for centuries to come. The Westphalian state is widely believed to be characterized by two distinctive features: Territoriality and Sovereignty. Territoriality is understood as the recognition of humans being organized into exclusive territorial communities that are political in nature and have fixed borders. The Westphalian notion of sovereignty was brought forth to answer the much debated issue of who carried authority and jurisdiction within a nation. Westphalian sovereignty is largely understood as a ruler’s “rightful entitlement to exclusive, unqualified, and supreme rule within a delimited territory” (McGrew, 2014). According to Morgenthau, it is with this notion of sovereignty and the territorial state that the modern conception of sovereignty has developed. Indeed, as borders were restructured throughout the 19th century in Europe and large-scale decolonization took place across the 20th century, empires broke into nations proudly bearing the flag of sovereignty. The absolute and exclusive authority of a state within its territorial boundaries can, in Arnold Wolfers’ notion of national interest and foreign policy, largely be considered a part of its ‘possession goals,’which shape the very environment in which the nation functions. Westphalian sovereignty is largely understood as a ruler’s rightful entitlement to exclusive, unqualified, and supreme rule within a delimited territory. Globalization presents a fundamental challenge to the Westphalian ideal of sovereign statehood. However, despite the seemingly priceless nature of the Westphalia inspired notion of state sovereignty, a potential threat has emerged in the form of the phenomenon of Globalization that has gripped the world since the 1990s. Several scholars posit that globalization presents a “fundamental challenge to the Westphalian ideal of sovereign statehood” (McGrew, 2014) and that major dynamics working in the global economy have the capability to undo the forms of sovereignty and territory embedded in the modern state system (Sassen, 1996). Globalization is a complex and nuanced process to be sure and it is important to try and gauge how far the interconnectivity it has ushered in has affected the quintessential Westphalian notion of state sovereignty. Globalization and Territoriality In order to understand how globalization has affected Westphalian territoriality, it is imperative to gain an understanding of globalization as a process. Steve Smith, Patricia Owens and John Baylis define it as “a process of increasing interconnectedness between societies such that events in one part of the world increasingly have effects on people and societies far away” (Baylis et al. pp 8). Jan A. Scholte conceptualises globalization as, “the spread of transplanetary – and in recent times also more particularly supraterritorial – connections between people” which involves “reduction in barriers.” In their paper, “Globalization and Sovereignty,” Julian Ku and John Yoo define globalization as, “various processes of economic, social, cultural, and political integration across national borders.” No matter how scholars choose to describe, conceptualize and define globalization, they are largely united on the fact that it implies greater interconnectivity across the world. Baylis et al. assert that this interconnectedness is present almost all spheres of social existence, whether one considers international organisations like the IMF and WTO, the activities of Microsoft (through the rapid advancements of technology), Hollywood (through cultural globalization and the internet), as well as spreading of harmful microbes like SARS, Ebola and Zika (through easier transport facilities) and the trade of arms and weapons of mass destruction (through international smuggling).

NOT The BCfm Politics Show CANCELLED and attempts to intimidate us
July 2024 – Tony, Dave and Martin’s NOT The BCfm Politics show was CANCELLED/EVICTED in a no fault, no notice, no appeal, eviction by The People’s Republic of Stokes Croft (PRSC) arts centre – An email from Chloe Slater and Keith Cowling explained that: ‘Transphobic’ leaflets had been left in the building by a recent guest (who denied it) making Transsexual users of the building feel ‘offended’ and ‘unsafe’. To quote: ‘Please let us know when you or Dave would like to come and retrieve your equipment and drop off your keys. Kind regards’ PRSC Directors (Keith Cowling, chair) PRSC / Stokes Croft China 17-35 Jamaica St Bristol BS2 8JP. Chloe Slater (formerly Jez and self-defined as ‘she’) also made it difficult for us to retrieve the last of our equipment by inferring we couldn’t be trusted, we were made to wait outside their building for over 30 minutes to return their mixing desk in December 2024.
[UPDATE channel restored by YT in July 2025] October 2022 – Tony’s Public Enquiry Channel opened in March 2008, with 13 million views, over 1,600 videos and 26,000 subscribers is removed under false pretences by YouTube – A video Tony recorded in New Zealand ‘Bill Gates, ID2020 & Revelation: Quaker Tony Gosling on Covid 19 & the Bible’ and uploaded on 8th April 2020 got a ‘third strike’ but YouTube’s ‘medical misinformation’ regime was introduced in September 2021 so should not have included as ‘strikes’ videos uploaded before that date. March 2020 – BCfm’s weekly Politics Show presented by Tony Gosling with Irish Republican Labour activist Martin Summers was forced off FM, now online only by station manager Pat Hart. He decided the show should be ‘rested, due to the pandemic’ on 24 March 2020 and then refused to communicate at all when we requested to do the show remotely. Bristol Community FM (BCfm) charity ‘CEO’ Patrick Hart is a longtime personal friend of Bristol’s all-powerful right-wing ‘Labour’ mayor Marvin Rees. Now on Internet only NOT The BCfm Politics Show is available 17:00-c. 21:00 live on Fridays. Pat Hart replaced us with an inane student show repeating MSM stories called The Bristol Agenda. If you’d like to share your views on his deliberate dumbing-down and pro-Covid jab mismanagement you can contact UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom or BCfm board chair and the ‘Don’ himself, here.
February 2019 – Ofcom complaint result: UKLFI exposed as creation of Israeli foreign ministry – Bristol Post article: BCfm cleared after being reported to Ofcom for anti-semitic conspiracy theories – It could have resulted in BCfm radio station being shut down if the complaint was upheld Tony Gosling reported to Ofcom by UK Lawyers for Israel after being accused of anti-semitism A Bristol radio station, which had one of its programmes reported for anti-semitism and racism has been cleared by Ofcom. The radio regulatory body received a complaint from “UK Lawyers for Israel’ over a show on BCfm radio, hosted by investigative journalist Tony Gosling. The weekly politics show, on the popular community radio station based in Easton, was reported for several allegations on a show which aired on November 23. Tony Gosling, who was a former BBC journalist between 1989 and 1993, has been producing and presenting ‘The Tony Gosling Politics’ show every week on BCFM radio for 11 years. They have released a statement which reads: “Whilst we are supportive of all our volunteer presenters, The Tony Gosling Politics Show only represents approximately ten percent of our political output content wise, and less than two per cent of our entire weekly output.” Mr Gosling’s programme looks at local politics and he interviews a range of councillors and MPs in the city. The show is also perhaps more well known for its alternative look at international politics, and he has a cult following online from across the world. Mr Gosling has made regular appearances on national media including the politics show with Andrew Neil on BBC One, and international channels such as Russia Today, Channel1 Russia, NTV, and recently for both Turkish and Lebanon TV.
November 2012 – Tony gets death threats on the phone from the Jewish Defence League – ‘you’re a dead man walking’ – a man calls him and Tony records the call. Audio of UK Jewish Defence League (JDL) death threat against British journalist Tony Gosling (2012) – Avon and Somerset police Special Branch investigate, trace the caller, and after six months report to Tony that the individual has been served a caution that they will proceed with a prosecution for harassment under the 1861 offences against the person act. Seems pretty clear this death threat was issued alongside the lies, copied below, which were published on their blog by London based UK JDL in November 2012. Firstly Tony Gosling is not a ‘homophobe’. That accusation was first made in an article published by the ‘Harry’s Place’ blog, penned by Zionist David Toube and propelled by him anonymously into Private Eye in 2008. It refers to Gosling’s criticism of senior teachers at Bannerman Road Primary school in Bristol who used homosexual early learning picture books against the express wishes of the parent governors. His criticism was about the deception by teaching staff not because of the homosexual content of the books. Secondly, if you follow the JDL link you’ll find what Tony Gosling actually says about the ‘Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion’ says “…I don’t think there is much doubt that the Protocols are fake…” Thirdly he is not a member of Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign and has never been to any of their meetings.
Autumn 2014 – Tony’s documentary production and distribution business shut down by its bank. Our thriving Co-op business bank account ordered closed for undisclosed reasons. Tony Gosling and Ben Edwards founded i-Contact Video Network to distribute documentaries on VHS video and DVD and to make their own documentaries as well as attend news events and sell video footage to TV news channels. Amongst the films we distributed were Operation Solstice, Coconut Revolution, Mark Purdey and Organophosphates, McLibel, 9/11 In Plane Site, Ludicrous Diversion and The Battle of Trafalgar. These, plus books, and even a board game about drug dealing ‘Dollars and Dibble’, were all available via mail order and we supplied libraries around the world too. The bank had clearly been ordered to investigate us for money laundering, although they never admitted it. All the questions they asked Ben and I were about proving our identity through passports etc.. When we did, yet more letters kept arriving demanding more proofs, birth certificates etc. and eventually when one of us missed supplying the required information, within a week or so of being asked, the account was summarily closed and we got a cheque made out to one of us with the few hundred pounds that was in the business bank account. Since neither of us could get a business bank account up and running for at least a few months and the bank account meant nobody could any longer use the website, we made the reluctant decision to shut it down. Thus was a thriving business killed off by the Co_operative bank. Having said that, co-op were not quite the worst. We did apply to open an account at Bristol’s ‘ethical’ Triodos bank, who proceeded to string us along for several months and then said our business was too risky for them to provide an account!
