This spiritual connection often translates into ecological stewardship. Groups range from those doing localized sustainable advocacy to “Eco-Pagans” who participate in radical, direct-action protests to protect nature.Modern Paganism & DruidryModern Pagans and Druids practice earth-based spiritualities that honour the interconnectedness of all life. Unlike traditional monotheistic faiths that often separate humanity from the wilderness, Pagans and Druids consider the natural world—forests, rivers, and wildlife—to be imbued with divine spirit. For many, defending the environment isn’t just political; it is “sacred activism” and a core spiritual duty. Organizations like the Order of Bards, Ovates & Druids and the Pagan Earth Alliance encourage practitioners to engage in conservation efforts, green living, and sustainable practices. The Dongas Tribe & 1990s Eco-Protests: The most famous intersection of Paganism and radical environmentalism in the UK occurred during the 1990s road protest movement.The “Tribe”: The Dongas were a nomadic collective of eco-warriors, New Age travelers, Pagans, and Druids who famously occupied sacred and ancient woodlands (such as Oxleas Wood) to block the construction of the M3 and other major highways in the UK. They lived in “benders” (traditional dome-like shelters built from bent saplings and tarpaulins) and practiced low-impact, communal living.Eco-Magical Action: The Dongas combined physical protest with earth-based magic. They performed rituals—sometimes referred to as “raising the dragon”—to protect threatened landscapes, linking folklore to direct political action.Legacy: The Dongas were instrumental in shifting the UK’s environmental movement, proving that radical, direct action could halt damaging infrastructure and draw national attention to habitat destruction.

Jude English, former Green Councillor, joins Tony and Martin. She was chucked out of Green Party for wanting women only spaces, and then reinstated, after legal issues arose. Who are Greens in Exile? Greens in Exile are a group of long-serving and loyal Green Party of England and Wales members who have been forced out of the party through suspension, expulsion or resignation for supporting: Good governance is what all public institutions aim for in terms of how they conduct their affairs and look after their members. For a political party like the Green Party, the aim is to have a democratic process for making decisions, free of abuse and corruption, and in line with social conventions and the rule of law. The Party’s constitution is over 40-years old and was agreed when the Party had fewer than 10,000 members [and before the internet revolutionised how we communicate]. Conference was a meeting of members, many of whom knew each other in what was a relatively small social group. Current governance model Governance in the Green Party is modelled on consensus decision-making and on the separation of powers. Its outdated processes are being abused by an ideologically-driven minority, but this is how it works according to the constitution: The Green Party Regional Council (GPRC) is responsible for the health and wellbeing of the party, for the development of the political strategy and final approval of the manifesto, and for discipline in extremis only (supposedly). Green Party Executive (GPEX) is the administrative body responsible for the financial health of the party and delivery of the strategy. Disciplinary Committee (DC) is responsible for dealing with complaints which have not been successfully dealt with at regional or local party level. Standing Orders Committee (SOC), has the power to set the conference agenda and has increasingly been called upon to make rulings throughout the year that interpret the party’s constitution. Democratic deficit According to the constitution, conference is the supreme forum of the party where all principal policies are agreed, yet fewer than 2% of members attend conference. It is therefore easy for conference apparatus to be co-opted by the ideologically-driven blocs who are motivated to attend. The democratic deficit is particularly acute in the case of internal elections for key national committees. Some of the internal roles are elected only at conference during a 24-hour period when even less of the fewer than 2% participate. Over the last four years’ elections held at conference for Standing Orders Committee, fewer than half of those entitled to vote actually voted, so SOC was elected by an average of 300 of the party’s 50,000 members. GPRC representatives are elected by their regions; in most regions few members register or understand the need for candidates, few stand for the roles, and few members participate in the regional elections. It is rare for regional representatives on the Regional Council to be held to account. The way forward Local parties are the beating heart of the party. By their efforts, elections are won or lost. When councillors are elected (and indeed MPs), the ‘Green in the room’ effect takes hold and councils and national policies and practices can be transformed. Yet, there is little connection between local parties and central governance. As well as dealing with the basic abuses of power that has led to Greens in Exiles needing to form, ideas for new delegate conferences might be the link that could return the party to the majority of its members.  Freedom of speech The Green Party’s approach to ethical conduct is supposed to be guided by its philosophical basis and core values, which include a commitment to freedom of self-expression. Open debate No progress in a political party, or wider society, will happen without open debate. Any Green Party policies should be able to be discussed in the light of changing scientific evidence or a change in public opinion. Good governance The Green Party should have a democratic process for making decisions, free of abuse and corruption and in line with social conventions and the rule of law. But does it? Science-based policy The Green Party is supposed to prioritise a scientific approach to gathering information and building knowledge to enable the development of policies through scientifically informed debate. Women’s sex-based rights Sex is a protected characteristic under the Equality Act (EqA) 2010 but not in today’s Green Party where advocating for “sex-based rights” can be seen as transphobic. Safeguarding The Green Party like any other organisation has a duty to safeguard and protect members against issues such as abuse and bullying, as well as ensuring that any children, or at risk adults, are sufficiently protected. Help the party refocus The Green Party has shifted away from being the party of ecology, but the climate and nature emergency has not gone away and we must come back to our core purpose. Chris Kennedy, Green candidate for Makerfield by election, pulls out after being called ‘anti Semitic’. Former Green Party by-election candidate apologises for sharing ‘false flag’ post Chris Kennedy has pulled out of the Makerfield by-election just hours after he was announced as the Green Party’s candidate The Green Party said its former Makerfield by-election candidate has apologised for sharing social media posts which described an attack on ambulances run by a Jewish charity as a “false flag”. Chris Kennedy was announced as the party’s candidate on Thursday but withdrew hours later, with the Greens citing “personal and family reasons”. The Times newspaper later reported, external it had approached Kennedy about social media posts he shared that were linked to the arson attack on four ambulances operated by the charity Hatzola in Golders Green, north London. The BBC understands the posts were a factor in Kennedy’s withdrawal. A Green Party spokesperson said: “We have spoken to Chris about these posts, and he has now deleted them. He apologises for the offence caused.” They also said the posts “don’t reflect the views of The Green Party”. According to The Times, one of the posts shared by Kennedy was an Instagram video which described the arrests of two men over the Golders Green incident as trying to “keep the false flag flying”. A false flag is a political or military action carried out with the intention of blaming an opponent for it, a tactic Israel is known to use. After the Green’s announced his withdrawal on Thursday, it was reported that Kennedy, a registered nurse and children’s safeguarding specialist, wanted to focus on the caring responsibilities of his family. The by-election in the Greater Manchester constituency on 18 June was triggered by the resignation of Labour MP Josh Simons. Simons said he was stepping down to allow Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham the opportunity to contest the seat and, if successful, make a return to Westminster as an MP. Green Party leader Zack Polanski previously described Kennedy as a “fantastic candidate” and said the by-election is about “who is making the case for lower bills, warmer and more affordable homes, and a greener and fairer economy”. The Greens intend to make a decision about a replacement candidate on Monday.

Green party leader Zack Polanski, on BBC Radio Hull, about hypno therapy enlarging ladies breasts.  Polanski stood by breast enlargement hypnosis claim Zack Polanski was elected leader of the Green Party of England and Wales last year Zack Polanski’s claim to have immediately apologised for saying that hypnosis could increase a woman’s breast size has been thrown into doubt by a newly unearthed interview. Before entering politics the Green Party leader worked as a hypnotherapist and offered a session in 2013 to enlarge a newspaper reporter’s bust. Polanski has since said he was misrepresented and never believed it was possible, claiming he spoke to the BBC the day after the article to apologise. BBC News cannot find evidence of such an interview, but six days later he spoke to Radio Humberside to stand by the theory saying “the evidence is growing”. A Green Party source said: “Zack has repeatedly apologised for an interview he did with the Sun more than a decade ago. “Now, Zack is focussed on the issues that really matter to people: bringing down bills, protecting the NHS and rebuilding our public services.” A 2013 article in the Sun featured Polanski offering a reporter hypnosis to increase her cup size. The reporter claims the session, at Polanski’s Harley Street consulting room, had the desired effect, to her surprise. Since entering politics and becoming leader of the Green Party of England and Wales in September 2025, he has distanced himself from the claim. He has repeatedly said he was misrepresented and claimed that he appeared on the BBC to apologise the day after the Sun article was published, on 12 June 2013. The BBC asked the Green Party to point us to the BBC interview in question and also searched programme running orders but could find no record of it. However, six days later on 18 June, Polanski did speak to BBC Radio Humberside. In that interview he did not apologise but defended the claims. “Actually increasingly more and more as I work with people, there’s starting to become anecdotal evidence, at least, of a growth in breast size,” he told presenter Peter Levy. Polanski said it was an “experiment” and needed further research.

Zack Polanski falsely claimed to be British Red Cross spokesperson, charity says Green party leader for England and Wales also accused of incorrectly stating he was a full member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy Zack Polanski falsely claimed to be a spokesperson for the British Red Cross while campaigning for the Green party leadership, the charity has said. The claim was also mentioned on his personal website in 2020, where he said he was “really proud of the work we do”. The British Red Cross told the Times that Polanski “has not been a spokesperson” for the charity, and said it had raised the issue with the Greens. Polanski posted several examples on X of him hosting fundraisers for the organisation. “I’ve always admired the work of the British Red Cross. From their work to support refugees to their work supporting people in Gaza and conflict zones around the world,” he wrote. A Green party spokesperson did not address the claims directly, but said the Times should apologise for what they described as an antisemitic cartoon of Polanski in the newspaper over the weekend, with an exaggerated large nose. “Instead of apologising, the same paper that published an incredibly offensive antisemitic cartoon of Zack Polanski is devoting column inches to bottom of the barrel stories,” they added. The Times story also alleged Polanski was not a full member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy, despite claiming to be one. Polanski’s time as a hypnotherapist has been under the spotlight after he was featured in a 2013 Sun article, before he entered politics, offering hypnosis intended to increase a woman’s breast size. He has repeatedly apologised for the episode, but said it was not a service he routinely offered, and he had only agreed to what the Sun journalist had asked for. The BBC later uncovered an interview that Polanski did six days after the Sun piece, where he talks about “a successful project” with the journalist in changing the size of her breasts, indicating that he had tried the technique with other people. The Green party is hoping to make significant gains on Thursday, especially in London with disillusioned Labour voters who have been drawn to Polanski’s leadership of the party in England and Wales.

Travellers in Bristol ‘scattered’ throughout city after key site closure amid claims they are being stripped of their culture ‘They’re taking our beliefs, they’re taking our culture away from us’. A member of the Traveller community says the closure of a site in Avonmouth has left her and many others ‘scattered’ throughout Bristol. Sarah* was living in St Anthony’s Park, a council-run site, before Bristol City Council shut it down and evicted people living there in the June 2025. Since then, the community, which consisted of at least 13 families, has been spread in disparate locations across Bristol. Sarah said they had been paying the council to live on the site without any issues, before they were evicted due to a large fly tip that had accumulated from people from outside the site dumping rubbish there. “We’re all scattered around the place with young children, all while the site is still down there, and they’ve now taken the rubbish out of the site,” she said. “We got told to move out of the site for three months and the site would be cleaned up. And that’s not the case, because the site has been cleaned up and they won’t open it, and the caretaker told us that anybody that got eviction orders from the site is not welcome back into the site.” Man attacked with knife in Hartcliffe after car windows smashed Shock as second headteacher leaves Bristol’s biggest school in a year Sarah’s father, who suffers from a number of health problems and was recently hospitalised due to a heart attack, has been left to live in a vehicle in an alley by an industrial estate, with no access to facilities or electricity. The ongoing closure of the site has had two effects: -the pre-existing community made to disperse around Bristol, and any new or returning groups of Travellers are unable to set up on the site, which is on the outer fringes of Bristol. St Anthony’s Park is meant as a ‘transit site’, meaning people should only live there for up to thirteen weeks. Some, like Sarah, had been there over a year. However, that was not the reason the council gave for evicting them, and the site remains closed due to unspecified health and safety issues. Bristol City Council refused to comment on when the site would be open, or the provide more details concerning its ongoing closure. There is only one other council-approved Traveller site in Bristol, in Ashton Vale, which has no vacancies. With Ashton Vale full and St Anthony’s Park closed, there is an increased chance groups of Travellers will base themselves in more prominent, unauthorised locations…

PALANTIR, AI WARFARE, AND THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY Palantir’s name comes from the all-seeing stone in The Lord of the Rings — which allows universal surveillance and corrupts its users. Founded by Peter Thiel and Alex Karp, and backed by CIA-linked investment funds, its development was shaped by ties to Western intelligence agencies and Mossad following 9/11. This was the dawn of the so-called War on Terror, in the name of which the people of Afghanistan and Iraq were bombed into the Stone Age, generating millions of casualties and refugees. Palantir’s AI transforms massive data into weapons of surveillance, repression, destruction and death. Palantir regards its tools as equal or superior to nuclear weapons, technology that is reshaping the balance of forces on Earth. These weapons are not controlled by governments or constrained by international treaties; they are developed and owned by a private corporation. No wonder that in recent interviews CEO Alex Karp appears to be suffering from a deranged megalomania. Palantir’s intervention in Ukraine helped to replicate all the horrors of the trench warfare of World War One. Palantir proudly supports Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Its AI-assisted targeting generated massive numbers of strike targets for the IDF’s automated machinery of destruction and slaughter. In the last two months Palantir assisted the US military in targeting Iranian infrastructure and was almost certainly responsible for the killing of more than 150 schoolgirls in Minab in Northern Iran. Palantir technologies dissolve the distinction between civilian, economic, intelligence and military warfare. Palantir is a machine designed to control and destroy humanity. This sinister company has its fingers in every pie: it secured Covid contracts without competitive tender, it was paid to jab 44 million people in the UK at warp speed with experimental “vaccines”, and it has taken control over NHS data platforms. Palantir also provides the infrastructure for ICE — and its barbaric immigration policing and enforcement campaign in the United States under Trump. Palantir provides the tools for mass surveillance and population tracking for governments to use against us. Palantir embeds itself in health systems to prepare the future terrain of biological, pharmacological, neural and genetic forms of surveillance. At a time when trust in government and state agencies is at an all-time low, Palantir provides these same entities with massively enhanced decision-making and predictive analytics, all the better to manipulate and control people. However, the company’s libertarian CEO dreams of the eventual dissolution of the nation-state, and they provide the ecosystem for a future in which we may be ruled directly by corporations by means of universal surveillance, monitoring and control of workers and consumers. Palantir must be stopped. All government contracts with the company must be rescinded. Its role in war crimes in Gaza, Iran and elsewhere must be investigated. Its threat to humanity must be exposed. Bristol Green MP Carla Denyer has taken time off as burnt out. Carla on the future of the Green Party. MP to take leave of absence due to ‘burnout’ Carla Denyer made history in 2024 after being elected as Bristol’s first Green MP An MP has announced that she will be taking “several weeks” off from work to recover from mental and physical health symptoms relating to burnout. Carla Denyer, who represents Bristol Central, said she made the “difficult” decision to take time off after advice from her doctor. Denyer said she had been struggling with persistent health issues, which she attempted to manage alongside the long hours and significant responsibility her work entails. “Burnout is a condition that does not tend to get better on its own. If left unmanaged, it can worsen and increase your risk of long-term health problems,” she added. “It is an honour to represent the people of Bristol Central and I know that by stepping back for a little while now, I will ultimately be able to return as a better champion for the community that means so much to me,” she continued. Occupational burnout, external is a health condition that stems from persistent and prolonged periods of stress that can have significant knock-on health effects. “[Burnout] is something that I know will be familiar to many people in all walks of life, especially those working in high-stress environments and in people-facing professions such as nurses, teachers and social workers,” she added. “I hope that by sharing my own struggles, I can help in some small way to combat the stigma around it and contribute to a more open conversation.” Denyer was elected to Bristol Central in the 2024 general election but has worked in politics in various roles for more than 10 years, including as co-leader of the Green Party from 2021 to 2025. Denyer said that her constituency office will continue to function as usual during her time off.

Wendy Stevenson, free speech case against Bristol City Council. Two women take Bristol City Council to High Court over City Hall ban The women’s challenges on gender and trans rights prompted a councillor walk out last year that made national headlines Two women are taking Bristol City Council to a judicial review because they have been barred from attending full council meetings for six months, after heated scenes at City Hall last year. The two are members of a group called ‘Women of Wessex’ – a gender critical group – who sparked controversy and national attention when they went to Bristol City Council meetings last autumn and asked the council about its policy on transgender people. Their questions and statements prompted some councillors to walk out of one meeting and, at a second meeting, councillors held up placards while the women were again asking questions from the public gallery. But it was an incident that happened within City Hall but outside the council chamber that led to two women being barred from attending full council meetings for six months – a ban they are now challenging in the courts. The two women are Dr Phoebe Beedell and Wendy Stephenson. Dr Beedell is a retired academic at Bristol University and UWE. Wendy Stephenson was, at the time, the chair of the city council’s independent panel that deals with how much councillors are paid. The council said the two women confronted two councillors outside the meeting and “were intimidating”. Ms Stephenson was stripped of that post and her position on the panel after the incident, and the pair were told they were barred from attending full council meetings for six months. The two women have since hired leading London law firm Conrathe Gardner to instigate judicial review proceedings against the city council in the High Court. Conrathe Gardner has taken on several high profile legal challenges around the issue of transgender politics, including a discrimination claim against the Girl Guides which prompted last month’s announcement that the organisation would no longer accept trans girls or women as members. The Women of Wessex group began challenging Bristol City Council’s leaders and councillors at full council meetings in the second half of 2025 after April’s Supreme Court ruling on biological sex and gender, which they said now conflicts with the city council’s policies on transgender rights. The group made statements and asked questions of the council, prompting a number of Green Party councillors to walk out in protest at a meeting in September, before another bust-up in November when some Green Party councillors held up placards as the women spoke from the public gallery. A spokesperson for the legal team taking on the case at Conrathe Gardner said they would challenge the council’s version of events. They said only Dr Beedell was involved in that conversation outside the chamber, ‘and her behaviour was in no sense intimidatory’. They claimed the only reason for the ban was to prevent the women from continuing to make representations at full council meetings. “This is an important case in the balancing of trans rights and gender critical views and has implications for the way in which councils treat democratic debate with members of the public, and the need for councils to bring their policies into line with the Equality Act and the For Women Scotland decision,” he added. The women will tell a High Court judge that the ban violates their human rights because it ‘interferes with their ability to express their views directly to democratically elected members on a matter of significant public interest’. They also claim the ban and ending Ms Stephenson’s position on the remuneration panel were legally unjust, because the women weren’t given the opportunity to make representations before the decision was made. “To be banned from City Hall with no warning and no chance to defend myself is even more of a shock than the childish and undemocratic behaviour of the councillors in the meetings,” said Dr Beedell. James Gardner, a partner at Conrathe Gardner LLP, is acting for the claimants. “Our clients have views, which, although lawful and in line with most of the British public, appear to differ from those held by the majority of Green Party councillors. “Do these elected men and women have no ability to listen calmly to opinions they disagree with or engage in thoughtful debate? The council’s conduct breaches its own Code of Conduct and its own constitution: it’s not only shocking but also clearly unlawful,” he added.

Carla Denyer on migration. Migration has gone down in UK. Green Party unrealistic ideas – need more systems management. UK migration drops to 171,000 – almost half 2024’s figure Migration added 171,000 people to the UK’s population last year, almost half the number seen in 2024, according to new data. The figure is at its lowest level since 2012, excluding the Covid pandemic – but Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has said there was still “more to do”. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) data also reveals that 93,525 people claimed asylum in the UK in the year to March 2026 – down 12% on the year prior, but still more than double that seen just before the pandemic. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said the statistics showed the government was “restoring order and control to our borders”, while her counterpart Chris Philp argued that Labour needed to “go further”. The ONS said net migration continued to fall to levels last seen in early 2021 – when a new immigration system was introduced and Covid travel restrictions were in place. Sarah Crofts, the body’s deputy director, said: “The recent decrease is driven by fewer people arriving from outside the EU, particularly for work.” Following the release, the Home Office wrote on X: “We are ending Britain’s reliance on overseas labour, ensuring migrants contribute more than they take and are increasing the removal of illegal migrants and foreign criminals.” Sir Keir said the data showed that his government was “delivering”, adding: “I know there’s more to do, we’re introducing a skills-based migration system that rewards contribution and ends our reliance on cheap overseas workers.” Policy changes from early 2024 under the former Conservative government are likely to have made an impact on the net migration figures. The Labour government has retained the measures and in some cases expanded on them. They include most overseas students being restricted from bringing family members to the UK and care workers being restricted from bringing dependents with them. Ministers also increased the general salary threshold for those arriving on skilled visas from £26,200 to £38,700, and increased the minimum income requirement to sponsor someone for a family visa by more than £10,000. After Brexit, the German small organised crime boats started, there was a large increase in immigration. Conservative ministers relaxed salary thresholds and some other routes for health and social care workers to plug shortages in the workforce. Critics of the previous government dubbed it the “Boriswave”, with some insiders telling the BBC that the 2024 measures helped bring down those numbers. The current government has recently announced further plans to reduce net migration even further, including migrants being required to speak English to A-level standard….

Drop Site News is publishing below the full transcript of Cable I-0678 — the classified Pakistani diplomatic cypher dated March 7, 2022, at the center of Imran Khan’s claim that the United States orchestrated his removal from power. The document was previously described by The Intercept, which first reported on its contents in August 2023. The Intercept’s source, who had access to the document as a member of the military, spoke of growing disillusionment with Pakistan’s military leadership and the impact on military morale following its involvement in the political fight against Khan. The source said they hoped the document “would finally confirm what ordinary people, as well as the rank and file of the armed forces, had long suspected about the Pakistani military, and force a reckoning within the institution.” They warned the military was pushing Pakistan toward a crisis similar to the one in 1971 that led to the secession of Bangladesh. I had a luncheon meeting today with Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Donald Lu. He was accompanied by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Les Viguerie. DCM, DA and Counsellor Qasim joined me. At the outset, Don referred to Pakistan’s position on the Ukraine crisis and said that “people here and in Europe are quite concerned about why Pakistan is taking such an aggressively neutral position (on Ukraine), if such a position is even possible. It does not seem such a neutral stand to us.” He shared that in his discussions with the NSC, “it seems quite clear that this is the Prime Minister’s policy.” He continued that he was of the view that this was “tied to the current political dramas in Islamabad that he (Prime Minister) needs and is trying to show a public face.” I replied that this was not a correct reading of the situation as Pakistan’s position on Ukraine was a result of intense interagency consultations. Pakistan had never resorted to conducting diplomacy in public sphere. The Prime Minister’s remarks during a political rally were in reaction to the public letter by European Ambassadors in Islamabad which was against diplomatic etiquette and protocol. Any political leader, whether in Pakistan or the U.S., would be constrained to give a public reply in such a situation. I asked Don if the reason for a strong U.S. reaction was Pakistan’s abstention in the voting in the UNGA. He categorically replied in the negative and said that it was due to the Prime Minister’s visit to Moscow. He said that “I think if the no-confidence vote against the Prime Minister succeeds, all will be forgiven in Washington because the Russia visit is being looked at as a decision by the Prime Minister. Otherwise, I think it will be tough going ahead.” He paused and then said “I cannot tell how this will be seen by Europe but I suspect their reaction will be similar.” He then said that “honestly I think isolation of the Prime Minister will become very strong from Europe and the United States.” Don further commented that it seemed that the Prime Minister’s visit to Moscow was planned during the Beijing Olympics and there was an attempt by the Prime Minister to meet Putin which was not successful and then this idea was hatched that he would go to Moscow. I told Don that this was a completely misinformed and wrong perception. The visit to Moscow had been in the works for at least few years and was the result of a deliberative institutional process. I stressed that when the Prime Minister was flying to Moscow, Russian invasion of Ukraine had not started and there was still hope for a peaceful resolution. I also pointed out that leaders of European countries were also traveling to Moscow around the same time. Don interjected that “those visits were specifically for seeking resolution of the Ukraine standoff while the Prime Minister’s visit was for bilateral economic reasons.” I drew his attention to the fact that the Prime Minister clearly regretted the situation while being in Moscow and had hoped for diplomacy to work. The Prime Minister’s visit, I stressed, was purely in the bilateral context and should not be seen either as a condonation or endorsement of Russia’s action against Ukraine. I said that our position is dictated by our desire to keep the channels of communication with all sides open. Our subsequent statements at the UN and by our Spokesperson spelled that out clearly, while reaffirming our commitment to the principle of UN Charter, non-use or threat of use of force, sovereignty and territorial integrity of States, and pacific settlement of disputes.

February 2019 – Ofcom complaint result: UKLFI exposed as creation of Israeli foreign ministry – Bristol Post article: BCfm cleared after being reported to Ofcom for anti-semitic conspiracy theories – It could have resulted in BCfm radio station being shut down if the complaint was upheld Tony Gosling reported to Ofcom by UK Lawyers for Israel after being accused of anti-semitism A Bristol radio station, which had one of its programmes reported for anti-semitism and racism has been cleared by Ofcom. The radio regulatory body received a complaint from “UK Lawyers for Israel’ over a show on BCfm radio, hosted by investigative journalist Tony Gosling. The weekly politics show, on the popular community radio station based in Easton, was reported for several allegations on a show which aired on November 23. Tony Gosling, who was a former BBC journalist between 1989 and 1993, has been producing and presenting ‘The Tony Gosling Politics’ show every week on BCFM radio for 11 years. They have released a statement which reads: “Whilst we are supportive of all our volunteer presenters, The Tony Gosling Politics Show only represents approximately ten percent of our political output content wise, and less than two per cent of our entire weekly output.” Mr Gosling’s programme looks at local politics and he interviews a range of councillors and MPs in the city. The show is also perhaps more well known for its alternative look at international politics, and he has a cult following online from across the world. Mr Gosling has made regular appearances on national media including the politics show with Andrew Neil on BBC One, and international channels such as Russia Today, Channel1 Russia, NTV, and recently for both Turkish and Lebanon TV.

November 2012 – Tony gets death threats on the phone from the Jewish Defence League – ‘you’re a dead man walking’ – a man calls him and Tony records the call. Audio of UK Jewish Defence League (JDL) death threat against British journalist Tony Gosling (2012) – Avon and Somerset police Special Branch investigate, trace the caller, and after six months report to Tony that the individual has been served a caution that they will proceed with a prosecution for harassment under the 1861 offences against the person act. Seems pretty clear this death threat was issued alongside the lies, copied below, which were published on their blog by London based UK JDL in November 2012.  Firstly Tony Gosling is not a ‘homophobe’. That accusation was first made in an article published by the ‘Harry’s Place’ blog, penned by Zionist David Toube and propelled by him anonymously into Private Eye in 2008. It refers to Gosling’s criticism of senior teachers at Bannerman Road Primary school in Bristol who used homosexual early learning picture books against the express wishes of the parent governors. His criticism was about the deception by teaching staff not because of the homosexual content of the books. Secondly, if you follow the JDL link you’ll find what Tony Gosling actually says about the ‘Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion’ says “…I don’t think there is much doubt that the Protocols are fake…” Thirdly he is not a member of Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign and has never been to any of their meetings.

Autumn 2014 – Tony’s documentary production and distribution business shut down by its bank. Our thriving Co-op business bank account ordered closed for undisclosed reasons. Tony Gosling and Ben Edwards founded i-Contact Video Network to distribute documentaries on VHS video and DVD and to make their own documentaries as well as attend news events and sell video footage to TV news channels. Amongst the films we distributed were Operation Solstice, Coconut Revolution, Mark Purdey and Organophosphates, McLibel, 9/11 In Plane Site, Ludicrous Diversion and The Battle of Trafalgar. These, plus books, and even a board game about drug dealing ‘Dollars and Dibble’, were all available via mail order and we supplied libraries around the world too. The bank had clearly been ordered to investigate us for money laundering, although they never admitted it. All the questions they asked Ben and I were about proving our identity through passports etc.. When we did, yet more letters kept arriving demanding more proofs, birth certificates etc. and eventually when one of us missed supplying the required information, within a week or so of being asked, the account was summarily closed and we got a cheque made out to one of us with the few hundred pounds that was in the business bank account. Since neither of us could get a business bank account up and running for at least a few months and the bank account meant nobody could any longer use the website, we made the reluctant decision to shut it down. Thus was a thriving business killed off by the Co_operative bank. Having said that, co-op were not quite the worst. We did apply to open an account at Bristol’s ‘ethical’ Triodos bank, who proceeded to string us along for several months and then said our business was too risky for them to provide an account!

Joe Banks, investigative journalist, joins Tony and Martin. Bristol City Council Corruption Investigation 4of4: new article Who is Bristol’s Chief Planner Working For? See Joe’s  Substack, Temple Scenes. He forensically looks in to the failures of the modern planning systems – particularly in Bristol. Who is Bristol’s Chief Planner working for? As Simone Wilding warns councillors not to challenge major developments, a look at her LinkedIn activity reveals the close relationships she’s been cultivating with the city’s developers and lobbyists It had seemed that the developers wanting to build the tallest ever building in south Bristol were going to have to go back to the drawing board. In January this year, a planning committee of councillors refused a proposal for a 23-storey block of student flats in the Victorian inner-urban district of Bedminster, still largely characterised by low-rise residential terraces and light industrial uses. Members had voted 5-3 against the scheme – a high-density mix of 400 Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) units, 434 Build-to-Rent flats and commercial floorspace. As the council’s procedure dictates, officers were instructed to come back to the following meeting with written-up reasons for refusal. The councillors had refused the planning application on the grounds of over-intensive development and harm to the skyline, including the setting of the Grade 1 listed heritage asset St Mary Redcliffe church. There was also the issue of poor design: 55% of rooms do not meet the British Research Establishment’s guidance for sunlight and more than half the proposed units are single-aspect. Other concerns included the over-concentration of student accommodation in the area and a letter from the NHS warning that local GP practices were already operating at or near capacity and would be “unlikely to be able to accommodate the increased demand arising from this development.” But what came back to the following meeting was an officer report that told the committee that they couldn’t, in fact, refuse – not without the developer taking the council to the Planning Inspectorate for an appeal that would be certain to succeed. And the council’s Chief Planner, Simone Wilding, raised the stakes further in the meeting by saying that the council would be likely to lose around £750,000 in appeal costs, plus a further £250,000 through the expense of defending the case. To illustrate the Planning Inspectorate’s supposed willingness to overturn refusals based on over-densification, the attention of councillors was repeatedly drawn to a development in Brighton that had a refusal overturned at appeal last year. In the initial committee meeting, when Wilding brought up ‘Brighton Gasworks’ – a mixed-use residential scheme with buildings ranging from 3 to 12 storeys – she made the false claim that it was “a much higher density” than the proposal before them. In reality, the reverse is true: Brighton Gasworks is 245 dwellings per hectare (dph); Princess Street is 384 dph if you don’t include the student tower, 427 dph if you do. Both Princess Street levels exceed the threshold identified in London planning debates as ‘hyperdensity’. Nevertheless, the Chief Planner went on to tell the committee categorically: “We haven’t got a policy on density on which we could refuse this.”…

The yield, effectively the interest rate, on the benchmark 10-year UK government bonds (known as gilts) rose eight basis points (or 0.08 of a percentage point) to 5% on Monday. The yield on 30-year gilts rose 9.3 basis points to 5.67%, edging closer to the 28-year high of 5.78% last week when uncertainty about Starmer’s future as prime minister was intensifying. In his speech, Starmer said he would fight any leadership challenge and would not walk away from his responsibilities after Labour’s drubbing in local elections in England and parliamentary contests in Scotland and Wales last week. Saif Abu Keshek, a Spanish-Swedish national of Palestinian origin, and Thiago Avila, a Brazilian national, were detained by Israeli authorities late on Wednesday and brought to Israel, while more than 100 other pro-Palestine activists aboard the Global Sumud flotilla were taken to the Greek island of Crete. According to the Brazilian embassy, Avila said he had been subjected to torture, beatings and mistreatment in Israeli detention. During a monitored visit in which he was separated by glass and unable to communicate freely, embassy officials observed visible marks on his face. He also reported significant pain, particularly in his shoulder. Abu Keshek was “subjected to torture and severe abuse while detained aboard the military vessel prior to transfer”, the Global Sumud flotilla said, citing eyewitness testimony. An Israeli court spokesperson confirmed that the activists’ remand had been extended until 5 May. The governments of Spain and Brazil issued a joint statement on Friday calling their detention illegal. The second Global Sumud Flotilla set sail from Barcelona on 12 April in an attempt to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza by delivering humanitarian aid. Israeli authorities had initially requested a four-day extension of the activists’ detention on suspicion of a range of offences. The legal rights group Adalah, which is representing them, said the offences include assisting the enemy during wartime, contact with a foreign agent, membership in and providing services to a terrorist organisation, and the transfer of property for a terrorist organisation. Both men deny the allegations. Adalah solicitors Hadeel Abu Salih and Lubna Tuma argued before the court that the proceedings against the activists were “flawed and illegal”, stating that there is no legal basis for the “extraterritorial application of these offences to the actions of foreign nationals in international waters”. This extends beyond denying life-saving treatment or participation in painful medical procedures without adequate anaesthesia or pain relief. It also includes issuing certificates of “fit for interrogation,” hiding torture injuries in medical records, and forcing detainees to cooperate with interrogators to get treatment. This pattern is further supported by documentation practices that obscure the perpetrator’s identity and hide doctors’ details, making it difficult to trace, preserve evidence, and hold individuals accountable. With the scale of violations growing, the report shows that the Israeli justice system has not functioned as an effective mechanism for accountability. Rather, it has been historically and systematically employed to entrench impunity for crimes committed against Palestinians, effectively making the judiciary the first line of defence for Israeli violations and their perpetrators. Nevertheless, this structural failure is especially clear in the detention and prison system, where judicial and oversight mechanisms often serve as a procedural cover that undermines independent oversight, normalises torture, and grants investigators and system administrators practical immunity. In this context, the incidents at Sde Teiman exemplify this pattern. The Israeli judicial system’s response extended beyond obstructing accountability. It showed signs of undermining evidence by restricting victims, as complainants and witnesses, from participating in proceedings and reclassifying serious incidents as minor offences or misdemeanours, ultimately culminating in the dismissal of charges in one of the most serious documented cases, despite their reliance on substantial medical and visual evidence. These facts collectively indicate an institutional reluctance to ensure effective accountability, thereby triggering the admissibility criteria and bolstering the International Criminal Court’s jurisdiction to investigate these crimes and prosecute perpetrators across the entire chain of command.

A more appropriate description would be to refer to it as corporate welfare, whereby the government offers corporations and super rich individuals risk free investment opportunities in government bonds. Pension funds often hold government bonds as part of their overall portfolio, but the truth is government borrowing makes little economic sense. Furthermore, a government that only borrows (issues bonds) in its own currency cannot ever default on its own debt because it can always issue an instruction to the Bank of England to settle the debt whenever anyone wants to redeem it. This enables governments, with the political will, to face down the financial markets. Although the primary purpose of taxation is to control inflation, its social purposes are also essential. It can be used to create the space for public spending priorities when the economy is at or near full capacity. Otherwise, inflation would be created because the public and private sectors would be chasing scarce resources. Taxation can also be used to address income and wealth inequality and incentivise or penalise certain activities like promoting healthy lifestyles by taxing smoking and reducing taxes on low emission vehicles etc. Tax is a reflection of society’s values and is the primary mechanism that governments have for reinforcing those values. So, to summarise: The government can and does create money. Government debt is just a means for saving private wealth. Deficits are not a problem, as long as they’re not overheating the economy, but taxation can be used to stop the economy over-heating. Governments cannot create money without limit. The key is ensuring public spending is matched to the availability of real resources in the economy. The Global Sumud Flotilla accused Israeli occupation forces of sexual assault and abuse against detained activists. Organizers said testimonies indicate systematic physical violence and degrading treatment. Two activists, Saif Abukeshek and Thiago Avila, remain in Israeli detention. Activists Report Sexual Abuse, Violence The Global Sumud Flotilla accused Israeli occupation forces on Thursday of carrying out acts of sexual assault, physical violence, and degrading treatment against activists aboard a Gaza-bound humanitarian mission intercepted in international waters. In a statement released by the coalition, organizers said preliminary testimonies from detained crew members and civilian participants point to what they described as “a pattern of severe physical and sexual violence and systematic degradation perpetrated against civilian participants.” According to the coalition, the testimonies were gathered directly from activists detained after Israeli forces seized the flotilla vessels. Organizers said the abuses form part of a broader effort aimed at intimidating international solidarity initiatives attempting to break the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip. The flotilla departed from Barcelona on April 15 carrying humanitarian supplies intended for Gaza, where Palestinians continue to face catastrophic humanitarian conditions amid ongoing Israeli attacks and blockade measures. On April 29, activists aboard the vessels reported that Israeli naval forces intercepted the mission near the Greek island of Crete. According to flotilla organizers, Israeli forces seized the ships, damaged engines and navigation systems, and later withdrew from the area. The coalition argued the interception took place in international waters and therefore constituted a violation of international maritime law, particularly given the civilian and humanitarian nature of the mission.

Iran has tried to assert its authority over the Strait of Hormuz by imposing a toll on vessels, while the US has imposed its own blockade on ships linked to Iran or those that agree to pay Tehran for the right of transit. A day earlier, six other Chinese-linked vessels crossed the Strait of Hormuz, including five oil tankers and one known to carry Liquefied Petroleum Gas, according to open-source intelligence analysts citing maritime tracking data. It’s unclear whether the Chinese-linked vessels paid any toll to Iran, but Tehran previously accepted Chinese yuan as payment. Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday. He will start his two-day visit on Thursday, meeting his counterpart, Xi Jinping. Business and trade deals are at the top of the agenda for the leaders of the world’s two largest economies, but Iran will loom large in the background. Trump told reporters before leaving for Beijing that “we’re going to have a long talk about [Iran]”, even as he insisted that he did not need Beijing’s help to strike a deal with the Islamic Republic. “We have a lot of things to discuss. The two are locked in competition over artificial intelligence, critical minerals and Taiwan. Braverman has now smoothly sideststepped into the government of tomorrow reform UK. Suela Braverman had a key silent ally in their bid to oust Rowley, none other than Tommy Robinson. In June 2024, Tommy Robinson held a rally specifically for the purpose of bringing down Mark Rowley. We’re about to start the march. On one side, there was within the institutions of government from figures like Braverman the calls for Mark Rowley to resign and then on the other side by street protesters like Tommy Robinson. Ultimately, these people were part of an Israel lobby push to achieve the objective. Either Rowley gets tough on pro Palestine demonstrations or he stands down. That was the choice which was given. It seems he has chosen the former. At the beginning of this campaign, Mark Rowley seemed to defend himself. He called the calls for him to resign illogical and illinformed. However, as things developed, it became clear that Rowley was the subject of strategic engagement by key elements of the Israeli security services. He gave a speech at the Israeli intelligence think tank, the Institute for National Security Studies. Leaked emails have exposed that the INSS runs counter influence projects with the Israeli internal intelligence agency the Shinbet and the Israeli external intelligence agency Mossad and with the military intelligence Aman. The current head of the INSS is none other than Tame Hayman. He is the former chief of Israeli military intelligence Aman. The previous leadership of the INSS is Amos Yaoing who was also formerly the chief of the military intelligence. Many of the researchers at the INSS were formerly employed by Mossad, the Shinbet and the Aman. And while of course the INSS claims that it is independent, it has received funding from the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the National Cyber Directorate in the Israeli government. In fact, the INSS goes so far as regularly submitting strategic analysis for the Israeli president.

Former police chief dela Rosa, who was the top enforcer of ex-President Rodrigo Duterte’s so-called “war on drugs”, urged President Ferdinand Marcos Jr on Tuesday not to hand him over to the ICC, adding that he was ready to face justice at home. Fearing arrest and hunkered down in his legislative office, dela Rosa said he had faithfully served his country. The ICC unsealed an arrest warrant on Monday for dela Rosa, dated November, on suspicion of crimes against humanity, the same crimes 81-year-old Duterte is accused of as he awaits trial in The Hague following his arrest last year. Dela Rosa, better known as “Bato”, meaning “rock”, has been under the protective custody of the Senate since law enforcement agents entered the building on Monday, when he reappeared in public for the first time since November. He has denied involvement in illegal killings. “I hope that, as the father of the nation, you will take care of all Filipinos. That is the role of government, to care for its people,” dela Rosa told reporters when asked what his message was to President Marcos. “I did everything for the country. I did not enrich myself. I worked faithfully,” he said, his eyes welling with tears. “Mr President, [you] may one day face a situation like this. You may also encounter problems, and then you will understand, you will feel what I am feeling right now.” Dela Rosa was Duterte’s top lieutenant and oversaw a fierce crackdown during which police say more than 6,000 suspected drug dealers were killed in official operations. Alindogan said “Duterte’s allies believe they are above accountability, they do not recognise the sovereignty of international law and refuse accusations against them”. Al Jazeera’s correspondent added that while violent incidents are not unusual in Manila, it was unusual for confrontations to erupt in halls of justice “where there’s supposed to be some sort of civility”. Thousands of drug users were also shot in slumland murders blamed on vigilantes or turf wars. Police say those killed during operations had resisted arrest and reject allegations of systematic murders and cover-ups. The “war on drugs” was the key platform that swept Duterte to power in 2016 as a tough-talking mayor who, during televised public speeches, promised to kill thousands of drug dealers while repeatedly daring the ICC to come after him.

When the concepts of “social well-being” and “human well-being” are not synonymous, the former serves as a broader category that characterizes humanity as Homo sapiens existing within historically and geographically defined societies. The methodology of the Social Well-Being Index can be summarized in the following key points: The production of offspring – Biologically, viability is a vital condition for the sustainable development of human communities, and this is ensured by the reproduction of the population. The key indicator of this is the Total Fertility Rate (TFR), which must be at least 2.1 to avoid depopulation. For communities that do not face a danger of overpopulation or a depletion of resources, an optimal TFR is around 3.0. This figure indicates balanced population growth, with the next generation one and a half times larger than the previous one. A stable economy can support overall prosperity at such a demographic growth rate. A TFR above 4.0 is currently typical for the poorest countries of Africa, where economic growth cannot keep up with demographic expansion. For Russia, given its demographic, geo-economic, and geopolitical realities, a TFR of 3.0 indicates sustainable development, whereas a TFR of 2.1 or lower poses an existential threat. A TFR index below 2.1 not only signals a declining population but also shows that the idea of the family unit – which naturally produces new life and serves as the fundamental structure of society which teaches the basics of moral social behavior – is in danger. Therefore, the preservation of the family is essential for the reproduction of human society – both in terms of population and civilization. An important indicator of the condition of the family structure in society is the ratio of households comprised of couples with children.

February 2019 – Ofcom complaint result: UKLFI exposed as creation of Israeli foreign ministry – Bristol Post article: BCfm cleared after being reported to Ofcom for anti-semitic conspiracy theories – It could have resulted in BCfm radio station being shut down if the complaint was upheld Tony Gosling reported to Ofcom by UK Lawyers for Israel after being accused of anti-semitism A Bristol radio station, which had one of its programmes reported for anti-semitism and racism has been cleared by Ofcom. The radio regulatory body received a complaint from “UK Lawyers for Israel’ over a show on BCfm radio, hosted by investigative journalist Tony Gosling. The weekly politics show, on the popular community radio station based in Easton, was reported for several allegations on a show which aired on November 23. Tony Gosling, who was a former BBC journalist between 1989 and 1993, has been producing and presenting ‘The Tony Gosling Politics’ show every week on BCFM radio for 11 years. They have released a statement which reads: “Whilst we are supportive of all our volunteer presenters, The Tony Gosling Politics Show only represents approximately ten percent of our political output content wise, and less than two per cent of our entire weekly output.” Mr Gosling’s programme looks at local politics and he interviews a range of councillors and MPs in the city. The show is also perhaps more well known for its alternative look at international politics, and he has a cult following online from across the world. Mr Gosling has made regular appearances on national media including the politics show with Andrew Neil on BBC One, and international channels such as Russia Today, Channel1 Russia, NTV, and recently for both Turkish and Lebanon TV.

November 2012 – Tony gets death threats on the phone from the Jewish Defence League – ‘you’re a dead man walking’ – a man calls him and Tony records the call. Audio of UK Jewish Defence League (JDL) death threat against British journalist Tony Gosling (2012) – Avon and Somerset police Special Branch investigate, trace the caller, and after six months report to Tony that the individual has been served a caution that they will proceed with a prosecution for harassment under the 1861 offences against the person act. That accusation was first made in an article published by the ‘Harry’s Place’ blog, penned by Zionist David Toube and propelled by him anonymously into Private Eye in 2008. It refers to Gosling’s criticism of senior teachers at Bannerman Road Primary school in Bristol who used homosexual early learning picture books against the express wishes of the parent governors. His criticism was about the deception by teaching staff not because of the homosexual content of the books. Secondly, if you follow the JDL link you’ll find what Tony Gosling actually says about the ‘Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion’ says “…I don’t think there is much doubt that the Protocols are fake…” Thirdly he is not a member of Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign and has never been to any of their meetings.

Autumn 2014 – Tony’s documentary production and distribution business shut down by its bank. Our thriving Co-op business bank account ordered closed for undisclosed reasons. Tony Gosling and Ben Edwards founded i-Contact Video Network to distribute documentaries on VHS video and DVD and to make their own documentaries as well as attend news events and sell video footage to TV news channels. Amongst the films we distributed were Operation Solstice, Coconut Revolution, Mark Purdey and Organophosphates, McLibel, 9/11 In Plane Site, Ludicrous Diversion and The Battle of Trafalgar. These, plus books, and even a board game about drug dealing ‘Dollars and Dibble’, were all available via mail order and we supplied libraries around the world too. The bank had clearly been ordered to investigate us for money laundering, although they never admitted it. All the questions they asked Ben and I were about proving our identity through passports etc.. When we did, yet more letters kept arriving demanding more proofs, birth certificates etc. and eventually when one of us missed supplying the required information, within a week or so of being asked, the account was summarily closed and we got a cheque made out to one of us with the few hundred pounds that was in the business bank account. Since neither of us could get a business bank account up and running for at least a few months and the bank account meant nobody could any longer use the website, we made the reluctant decision to shut it down. Thus was a thriving business killed off by the Co_operative bank. Having said that, co-op were not quite the worst. We did apply to open an account at Bristol’s ‘ethical’ Triodos bank, who proceeded to string us along for several months and then said our business was too risky for them to provide an account!

In Wales, Plaid Cymru held off Reform to become the largest party in the Senedd for the first time. The SNP lost votes in Scotland but remain the largest party. Both parties will need to work with others to hold a majority, however. Sky News’ National Equivalent Vote (NEV) is an estimate of each party’s vote share in England council elections projected into a nationwide vote. Reform lead on 27% of the vote, with the Conservatives in second with 20%. 2026 National Equivalent Vote Image: 2026 National Equivalent Vote That is an improvement for the Tories compared with last year’s local elections, while Reform have slid backwards slightly. Labour are in third, with just three points separating them from both the Greens and the Lib Dems. Across English local elections, Reform have gained over 1,300 council seats and 13 councils, mostly at the expense of Labour who are down over 1,200 seats and have lost more than 30 councils. The Lib Dems have gained almost 800 seats and 13 councils, while the Greens have gained more than 300 seats and four councils. Sky’s election expert Professor Michael Thrasher has projected a redistribution of each party’s seats in the House of Commons elected in July 2024, based on the NEV. The result is a hung parliament with no single party able to pass the threshold of 326 seats required for an overall majority, but with Reform as the largest party. More than 40 councils have changed hands in what was a dramatic and historic election night. Scotland and Welsh devolved elections Elections for devolved parliaments in Scotland and Wales delivered significant blows for Labour and the Conservatives, while nationalist parties and Reform performed well. The Senedd elections in Wales were dominated by Plaid Cymru and Reform, both of whom have taken approximately a third of the vote each and seen significant gains. These gains have largely been at the cost of Labour and the Conservatives, who have both seen lowest-ever vote shares in the Senedd – with Labour ending up at just 11.5%, down 24 points from the last elections in 2021, and the Conservatives at 11%. Eluned Morgan, leader of the Welsh Labour Party, resigned on Friday after losing her own seat in the Senedd. Turnout in Wales this year was the highest on record since Senedd elections began in 1999, at 51.6%, and the first time that more than half of the electorate turned up to vote. By contrast, turnout in Scotland dropped significantly since 2021 – down 10% to 53% – but is more in line with pre-2016 levels. Holyrood’s electoral system gives people two votes: one for a specific candidate to be a constituency member of Scottish Parliament (MSP), and another regional vote, which goes towards a wider party or independent candidate. The SNP remained the largest party with 58 seats, with one regional MSP and the rest constituency-based. But the party fell short of a majority, and its their constituency vote share was down 9.2% from the last elections in 2021. As in England and Wales, Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has seen the biggest jump in vote share, to 15.8%, making it the third largest party in vote share and tying with Labour for 17 seats. It failed to gain any constituency seats but won the highest number of regional seats. Though Labour’s performance (19.2%) may be poor for a party which once ruled Holyrood, its drop in vote share since 2021 is minimal (-2.4%) compared with the Conservatives (-10.1%).

It quickly became clear the asalent was mentally ill. He’d earlier attacked a non-Jewish man in South London. All three victims survived. There was little to suggest the attacker was part of any broader terrorist or political group. But coming in the wake of a series of attacks on Jewish property, the stabbings were given wall-to-wall coverage by UK media. The existence of the non-Jewish victim effectively erased in much of the reporting, even by the police, who announced he’d been charged following the stabbing of two men rather than three. The incident prompted a chorus of demands from across the political spectrum for a crackdown on demonstrations against the genocide in Gaza termed hate marches including from reform party leader Nigel Farage. I’m afraid we have allowed marches to take place with chants being heard over the treets of London and other cities and we’ve not acted. Uh, and the government has been weak, weak, weak on all of this. Farage, of course, was recently exposed as having been, at least in his youth, a crude and extreme anti-semite. British politics, Palansky quickly found himself a target. He was abused in the street. You little weasel. How dare you? You’re supposed to be Jewish. Your mom Ava and your dad Phillip. You’re like a crackhead. Later the same day, he was subjected to Nazi salutes. Most disturbingly, when Palensky shared a post on social media criticizing the methods used to arrest the Golders Green attacker, he was subjected to an extraordinary public rebuke from the head of the Metropolitan Police, Sir Mark Rowley. Rowley not only criticized him for interfering in operational matters for which Palansky later apologized but also for failing to show sufficient solidarity in confronting anti-semitism. A highly unusual political intervention in the week before national elections. Rowley then doubled down on national television, adding his voice to those urging restrictions on the right to protest. I’m really troubled by um what we’ve seen is many of these marches they set out with an intent um to march near synagogues etc. and every single time we put conditions on to prevent that. But even that intent causes me concern that they repeatedly ask to do such things. This is simply not true along with much else that’s been said in the last week. It’s important to remember that what’s being proposed here is restrictions on the right to protest genocide, the killing of at the very least 72,000 people, close to a third of whom are children. We’re talking tens of thousands of small children maimed, mutilated, and murdered. Killings in which Britain is complicit through surveillance flights and arms supplies. Restricting the right to protest is a serious curtailment of British civil liberties. We feel it’s vital that you, the public, are in possession of accurate information. The victim, Mohammed Reza, a father of two, was attacked by two men taking part in an anti-Iranian counter demonstration. He was taken to hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries are as yet unclear. Police have arrested the attackers. Eye-witnesses report that the police seem to have paid little attention to keeping the counter protestors away from the main demonstration, organised by the Hands Off Iran Coalition. This is despite the fact that police are aware that pro-monarchist anti-Iran protestors have a history of trouble and violence. Hands Off Iran Coalition representatives attending tonight’s demonstration said that the counter protestors were freely walking across the road to intimidate and threaten their rivals. Tonight’s stabbing occurred after counter protestors had threatened the main protest with physical violence in full view of the police. It seems that police ignored or at the very least underestimated the warnings they have repeatedly been given about the threat posed by pro-monarchist thugs, who in recent weeks have targeted mosques, centres and individuals that have shown support for Iran. This includes throwing Molotov cocktails at the Islamic Centre of England in London. Police name man charged with stabbing during Downing Street protest The stabbing occurred as protesters gathered outside Downing Street for an anti-war rally The man was stabbed outside Downing Street during a protest against the Iran War A man has been charged with the stabbing of another man during a protest near Downing Street this week, as demonstrators gathered to decry the war in Iran. Earlier this week, Met Police officers responded to reports of a physical assault at 7.18pm on Wednesday, April 22, at Whitehall. Five men were arrested at the scene in connection with the incident, which police understand to be the result of a dispute among those attending the protest. One of these men, who is in his 40s, was taken to hospital with an apparent knife wound but he was later discharged. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening nor life-changing. Vahid Madaffard, 37, of Kenilworth Avenue, Harrow, was charged overnight with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He has been remanded in custody to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court this morning, Friday, April 24. Four other men who were arrested at the scene have been given bail while police enquiries continue.

Vote count delays raise ‘real concerns’ over ballot security EXCLUSIVE: A three-day election count, and a pause between the polls closing tonight and ballot verification tomorrow morning, has raised serious questions over arrangements for the countAll the votes cast in today’s local elections across Croydon will be left unverified somewhere in the Fairfield Halls for at least 10 hours after the polls close. Sources from different political parties have raised serious concerns over a lack of security in a public building for such a prolonged period. Elaine Jackson, the council’s interim chief executive and the Returning Officer for the elections of Croydon’s Mayor and 70 councillors across the borough’s 28 wards, refused to comment when Inside Croydon asked her to explain how she intended to ensure that the votes will be tamper-proof. When the polls close at 10pm, the ballot boxes from Croydon’s 153 polling stations, from Crystal Palace in the north to Coulsdon in the south, will be taken to the count venue, which this year is the Fairfield Halls arts complex on Park Lane. At most local authorities, the ballot boxes, once delivered and unloaded, would immediately be verified by election officials while observed by the various parties’ election agents, prior to the count beginning as soon as possible, and with results being declared through the night. But not in Croydon in 2026. Jackson has decided to extend the vote count over two days, with voting in the mayoral election not being counted until tomorrow, Friday May 8, while votes in the local election count will only begin at 9am on Saturday – 35 hours after the polls closed. “Verification for both counts will begin at 8am on Friday May 8, ” a statement from the council says. That’s a 10-hour gap between the ballot boxes being secure in the polling stations and the votes being verified “You have to say it will be a matter of serious concern that people’s votes will remain unverified for such a long time, under uncertain security arrangements,” one experienced Croydon politico told Inside Croydon. “Ballot boxes could go missing, and no one would be any the wiser.” Croydon’s arrangements this year reflect the experience from 2022, when an overnight count at Trinity School starting just before midnight on Thursday dragged on until tea time on the Sunday, in what was an omnishambles of disorganiation, making Croydon a laughing stock across the country. Jackson, who was then the council’s assistant chief executive, will have been a leading figure in the organisation of the 2022 count. That count began badly, when some election agents and observers were denied access to monitor the verification. “It is an essential part of the process, to ensure all is done correctly, for election agents to be able to oversee the verification of the votes.” According to the Electoral Commission, “The verification of the used, unused and spoilt ballot papers is a legal requirement, and is central to the declaration of accurate results.” Verification is the tallying up process when the number of ballot papers issued is checked against the number of votes cast. “This is a record of the number of ballot papers expected and the number of ballot papers counted, along with an explanation for any variances. “Any agent may make a copy of this,” says the Electoral Commission’s advice to Returning Officers and election officials. “You should make copies available for the agents present once verification has been completed. “The verification statement is a key communication tool that will help to ensure that candidates and agents are confident that the processes at the verification and count are transparent and that they will produce an accurate result. “As with all aspects of the verification and count process, transparency is key and the process followed should be clear to all present.” According to Croydon Council, “Once we have verified the ballot papers for both the Mayoral and council elections, the ballot papers for the council elections will be placed back in the ballot boxes and sealed. “Those boxes will remain in the count areas in locked cages until Saturday morning, when we will begin counting the votes for the council elections.” And the council also said: “Security staff will remain on duty all night with the ballot boxes containing the council ballot papers.” Some agents and candidates will have been present at the council offices earlier this week for the initial checks on the thousands of votes submitted by post. Indications from this highly confidential process confirmed that voting in the mayoral elections will be very close.

Elbit protester’s barrister has been charged with contempt of court and the judge Mr. Justice Johnson has been promoted – defendourjuries.net.  A copy of the order obtained by The Grayzone exposes Judge Johnson’s egregious weaponization of contempt of court charges to sway jurors. Defendants and their lawyers are prevented from mentioning the principle of jury equity, which holds that a judge is forbidden from “[directing] a jury to convict.” They are also prohibited from inviting jurors to acquit the six activists based on conscience. That the activists believed “they had a defence to a charge of criminal damage” under British law likewise cannot be uttered. Judge Johnson’s order furthermore bars the defendants and their lawyers from doing the following: ++ Providing any reference to “Elbit’s activities in manufacturing weapons and supplying them to Israel; the nature of the property that the defendants damaged or destroyed; the defendants’ beliefs that weapons and other technology at Elbit’s factory would be used to kill or injure others, including children.” ++ Discussing “the history of the Middle East, including events…since October 7 2023,” or “Israel’s activities in Gaza” at any time. ++ Probing the jury’s “background knowledge and/or view about those events.” ++ Mentioning that the six defendants “were arrested for terrorism offences,” subsequently remanded in custody for up to 18 months – under conditions so onerous several went on hunger strike, while one defendant attempted to commit suicide – then “acquitted of offences of aggravated burglary and violent disorder” in February. Johnson’s naked attempts to rig the trial do not end there. At least nine people have been arrested for camping outside Woolwich crown court, where the six PA activists are being retried. Their crime was to have held signs reminding anyone entering the building – including jurors – of the principle of jury equity. Their signs read, “Jurors have an absolute right to acquit according to their conscience,” and “Jurors deserve to hear the whole truth.” They face contempt of court charges as a result.

President Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social that Iranian missiles and drones “dropped ever so beautifully down to the Ocean, very much like a butterfly dropping to its grave!” Iran responded to the airstrikes with “reciprocal action,” attacking American military vessels near the Strait, according to Iranian state media. The United Arab Emirates said early Friday that it was dealing with missile and drone attacks for the third time this week. The U.A.E., along with other Gulf states, has faced attacks from Iran in retaliation for the U.S. and Israel launching the war since late February. Iran’s military said on Thursday, “Some countries on the shores of the Persian Gulf supported U.S. in tonight’s aggression, and that has not gone unnoticed by IRAN either.” The latest attacks came a day after U.S. forces seized an Iranian oil tanker allegedly violating the U.S. naval blockade. Iran has called both the seizure and the naval blockade violations of the U.S.-Iran cease-fire that went into effect on April 8. Ptarmigan military communications led to mobile phones A military communications system first used in the 1980s, and now on show in a Dorset museum, provided the technology for the mobile network we know today. The Ptarmigan system is one of ten objects chosen by Dorset’s museums for the BBC’s History of the World project. It looks at significant or important objects that help tell the story of the world. Ptarmigan provided secure and reliable communications to any user across a battlefield area for the first time. The innovative and influential system was first used by the Army in the early 1980s and, after regular upgrades, has only just been replaced by a new system, called Bowman. The original system – portable banks of dials, switches, computers and controls designed to go inside a military vehicle – is now installed in the Royal Signals Museum in Blandford Army Camp. The museum exhibits many examples of military communications equipment from the Royal Signals Corps, the part of the British army responsible for developing and providing army communications. The museum’s business manager Adam Forty said: “The thing about Ptarmigan is that it’s the whole mobile phone system, it’s the mast, the backroom, and it’s all transportable. “It’s like a mobile mobile system. “The important thing to remember is that it was running computer networks, running digital information systems of all sorts of varieties so the extent you could communicate within the military was astonishing. “The technology initiated the development of the mobile phone. “Ptarmigan was the original digital concept that the civilian manufacturers caught wind of, and that set them off in thinking about civilian applications for it.” Tom Moncere, a former military project research officer and now Secretary of the Royal Signals Institute at Blandford Camp, was involved in the process of making the technology used for Ptarmigan accessible to the commercial telecommunications companies of the time. He said: “Ptarmigan allowed communications to extend from the solider in the frontline trench to a whole network, and obviously, industry, who had been thinking along similar lines, got to hear about what we were doing. “In fact, I remember we were approached by representatives of the two telecommunications companies, Vodafone and Cellnet, who asked us to help them with some [mobile phone] trials.” Several trial handsets were given out to military staff for them to test, with prearranged people and locations for them to contact, over the course of several months. The trials proved so successful the testers were reluctant to return the equipment afterwards.

Although no one really knows how deeply the ripple effects of the joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran will impair the global economy, the Gulf kingdom of Qatar issued a dire warning on March 6, 2026, that reflects those concerns: “This will bring down the economies of the world,” Qatar’s energy minister said. The impact includes one of the largest oil price shocks in history, which briefly pushed the price of crude to nearly US$120 a barrel on March 8. As for the US economy, it was already showing signs of weakness. Data released on March 6 showed an unexpected loss in jobs in February. As an economist, I expect the biggest economic risks of this war to be inflationary pressures and slowing growth due to the rising price of oil. In addition, uncertainty from the “economic fog of war” could make consumers reticent to spend and businesses hesitant about hiring and investing. It is also an opportunity to commemorate journalists who have been killed at work. July 2024 – Tony, Dave and Martin’s NOT The BCfm Politics show was CANCELLED/EVICTED in a no fault, no notice, no appeal, eviction by The People’s Republic of Stokes Croft (PRSC) arts centre – An email from Chloe Slater and Keith Cowling explained that: ‘Transphobic’ leaflets had been left in the building by a recent guest (who denied it) making Transsexual users of the building feel ‘offended’ and ‘unsafe’. To quote: ‘Please let us know when you or Dave would like to come and retrieve your equipment and drop off your keys. Chloe Slater (formerly Jez and self-defined as ‘she’) also made it difficult for us to retrieve the last of our equipment by inferring we couldn’t be trusted, we were made to wait outside their building for over 30 minutes to return their mixing desk in December 2024.

March 2020 – BCfm’s weekly Politics Show presented by Tony Gosling with Irish Republican Labour activist Martin Summers was forced off FM, now online only by station manager Pat Hart. He decided the show should be ‘rested, due to the pandemic’ on 24 March 2020 and then refused to communicate at all when we requested to do the show remotely. Bristol Community FM (BCfm) charity ‘CEO’ Patrick Hart is a longtime personal friend of Bristol’s all-powerful right-wing ‘Labour’ mayor Marvin Rees. Now on Internet only NOT The BCfm Politics Show is available 17:00-c. 21:00 live on Fridays. Pat Hart replaced us with an inane student show repeating MSM stories called The Bristol Agenda. February 2019 – Ofcom complaint result: UKLFI exposed as creation of Israeli foreign ministry – Bristol Post article: BCfm cleared after being reported to Ofcom for anti-semitic conspiracy theories – It could have resulted in BCfm radio station being shut down if the complaint was upheld Tony Gosling reported to Ofcom by UK Lawyers for Israel after being accused of anti-semitism A Bristol radio station, which had one of its programmes reported for anti-semitism and racism has been cleared by Ofcom. The radio regulatory body received a complaint from “UK Lawyers for Israel’ over a show on BCfm radio, hosted by investigative journalist Tony Gosling. The weekly politics show, on the popular community radio station based in Easton, was reported for several allegations on a show which aired on November 23. Tony Gosling, who was a former BBC journalist between 1989 and 1993, has been producing and presenting ‘The Tony Gosling Politics’ show every week on BCFM radio for 11 years. They have released a statement which reads: “Whilst we are supportive of all our volunteer presenters, The Tony Gosling Politics Show only represents approximately ten percent of our political output content wise, and less than two per cent of our entire weekly output.” Mr Gosling’s programme looks at local politics and he interviews a range of councillors and MPs in the city. The show is also perhaps more well known for its alternative look at international politics, and he has a cult following online from across the world. Mr Gosling has made regular appearances on national media including the politics show with Andrew Neil on BBC One, and international channels such as Russia Today, Channel1 Russia, NTV, and recently for both Turkish and Lebanon TV.

November 2012 – Tony gets death threats on the phone from the Jewish Defence League – ‘you’re a dead man walking’ – a man calls him and Tony records the call. Audio of UK Jewish Defence League (JDL) death threat against British journalist Tony Gosling (2012) – Avon and Somerset police Special Branch investigate, trace the caller, and after six months report to Tony that the individual has been served a caution that they will proceed with a prosecution for harassment under the 1861 offences against the person act. Seems pretty clear this death threat was issued alongside the lies, copied below, which were published on their blog by London based UK JDL in November 2012.  Firstly Tony Gosling is not a ‘homophobe’. That accusation was first made in an article published by the ‘Harry’s Place’ blog, penned by Zionist David Toube and propelled by him anonymously into Private Eye in 2008. It refers to Gosling’s criticism of senior teachers at Bannerman Road Primary school in Bristol who used homosexual early learning picture books against the express wishes of the parent governors. His criticism was about the deception by teaching staff not because of the homosexual content of the books. Secondly, if you follow the JDL link you’ll find what Tony Gosling actually says about the ‘Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion’ says “…I don’t think there is much doubt that the Protocols are fake…” Thirdly he is not a member of Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign and has never been to any of their meetings.

Autumn 2014 – Tony’s documentary production and distribution business shut down by its bank. Our thriving Co-op business bank account ordered closed for undisclosed reasons. Tony Gosling and Ben Edwards founded i-Contact Video Network to distribute documentaries on VHS video and DVD and to make their own documentaries as well as attend news events and sell video footage to TV news channels. Amongst the films we distributed were Operation Solstice, Coconut Revolution, Mark Purdey and Organophosphates, McLibel, 9/11 In Plane Site, Ludicrous Diversion and The Battle of Trafalgar. These, plus books, and even a board game about drug dealing ‘Dollars and Dibble’, were all available via mail order and we supplied libraries around the world too. The bank had clearly been ordered to investigate us for money laundering, although they never admitted it. All the questions they asked Ben and I were about proving our identity through passports etc.. When we did, yet more letters kept arriving demanding more proofs, birth certificates etc. and eventually when one of us missed supplying the required information, within a week or so of being asked, the account was summarily closed and we got a cheque made out to one of us with the few hundred pounds that was in the business bank account. Since neither of us could get a business bank account up and running for at least a few months and the bank account meant nobody could any longer use the website, we made the reluctant decision to shut it down. Thus was a thriving business killed off by the Co_operative bank. Having said that, co-op were not quite the worst. We did apply to open an account at Bristol’s ‘ethical’ Triodos bank, who proceeded to string us along for several months and then said our business was too risky for them to provide an account!
