Part One – Local and National News Review

Donald Mack joins Tony and Martin. Results so far from local, Welsh and Scottish elections. Reform gets by far the most Councillors. Elections: Analysis in maps and charts, and find out the result from your seat Over 5,000 seats were up for election across 136 councils in England. Find out the result from your seat with our new tool. Labour have lost more than 1,200 English council seats and Reform have made massive gains for the second year running. In Wales, Plaid Cymru held off Reform to become the largest party in the Senedd for the first time. The SNP lost votes in Scotland but remain the largest party. Both parties will need to work with others to hold a majority, however. Sky News’ National Equivalent Vote (NEV) is an estimate of each party’s vote share in England council elections projected into a nationwide vote. Reform lead on 27% of the vote, with the Conservatives in second with 20%. 2026 National Equivalent Vote Image: 2026 National Equivalent Vote That is an improvement for the Tories compared with last year’s local elections, while Reform have slid backwards slightly. Labour are in third, with just three points separating them from both the Greens and the Lib Dems. Across English local elections, Reform have gained over 1,300 council seats and 13 councils, mostly at the expense of Labour who are down over 1,200 seats and have lost more than 30 councils. For the first time, Sky is able to bring you the results from your specific seat. Search for your postcode below, or click or tap around the map to explore detailed results: The Conservatives have also suffered heavy losses, and have lost nearly 500 seats and eight councils. The Lib Dems have gained almost 800 seats and 13 councils, while the Greens have gained more than 300 seats and four councils. Sky’s election expert Professor Michael Thrasher has projected a redistribution of each party’s seats in the House of Commons elected in July 2024, based on the NEV. The result is a hung parliament with no single party able to pass the threshold of 326 seats required for an overall majority, but with Reform as the largest party. House of Commons projection based on 2026 National Equivalent Vote Image: House of Commons projection based on 2026 National Equivalent Vote Reform UK would win 284 seats, 42 seats short of a majority. Labour would win 110 seats compared to 96 seats for the Conservatives, despite winning a smaller vote share. The Liberal Democrats would come fourth with 80 seats, followed by the SNP winning 36 seats. Plaid Cymru and the Greens are each projected to win 13 seats. More than 40 councils have changed hands in what was a dramatic and historic election night. The British election map has been re-drawn again, and the multi-party politics era will leave many councils attempting to operate with complex coalitions or minority administrations.

Scotland and Welsh devolved elections Elections for devolved parliaments in Scotland and Wales delivered significant blows for Labour and the Conservatives, while nationalist parties and Reform performed well. The Senedd elections in Wales were dominated by Plaid Cymru and Reform, both of whom have taken approximately a third of the vote each and seen significant gains. These gains have largely been at the cost of Labour and the Conservatives, who have both seen lowest-ever vote shares in the Senedd – with Labour ending up at just 11.5%, down 24 points from the last elections in 2021, and the Conservatives at 11%. Eluned Morgan, leader of the Welsh Labour Party, resigned on Friday after losing her own seat in the Senedd. Turnout in Wales this year was the highest on record since Senedd elections began in 1999, at 51.6%, and the first time that more than half of the electorate turned up to vote. By contrast, turnout in Scotland dropped significantly since 2021 – down 10% to 53% – but is more in line with pre-2016 levels. Holyrood’s electoral system gives people two votes: one for a specific candidate to be a constituency member of Scottish Parliament (MSP), and another regional vote, which goes towards a wider party or independent candidate. The SNP remained the largest party with 58 seats, with one regional MSP and the rest constituency-based. But the party fell short of a majority, and its their constituency vote share was down 9.2% from the last elections in 2021. As in England and Wales, Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has seen the biggest jump in vote share, to 15.8%, making it the third largest party in vote share and tying with Labour for 17 seats. It failed to gain any constituency seats but won the highest number of regional seats. Though Labour’s performance (19.2%) may be poor for a party which once ruled Holyrood, its drop in vote share since 2021 is minimal (-2.4%) compared with the Conservatives (-10.1%).

It quickly became clear the asalent was mentally ill. He’d earlier attacked a non-Jewish man in South London. All three victims survived. There was little to suggest the attacker was part of any broader terrorist or political group. But coming in the wake of a series of attacks on Jewish property, the stabbings were given wall-to-wall coverage by UK media. The existence of the non-Jewish victim effectively erased in much of the reporting, even by the police, who announced he’d been charged following the stabbing of two men rather than three. The incident prompted a chorus of demands from across the political spectrum for a crackdown on demonstrations against the genocide in Gaza termed hate marches including from reform party leader Nigel Farage. I’m afraid we have allowed marches to take place with chants being heard over the treets of London and other cities and we’ve not acted. Uh, and the government has been weak, weak, weak on all of this. Farage, of course, was recently exposed as having been, at least in his youth, a crude and extreme anti-semite. British politics, Palansky quickly found himself a target. He was abused in the street. You little weasel. How dare you? You’re supposed to be Jewish. Your mom Ava and your dad Phillip. You’re like a crackhead. Later the same day, he was subjected to Nazi salutes. Most disturbingly, when Palensky shared a post on social media criticizing the methods used to arrest the Golders Green attacker, he was subjected to an extraordinary public rebuke from the head of the Metropolitan Police, Sir Mark Rowley. Rowley not only criticized him for interfering in operational matters for which Palansky later apologized but also for failing to show sufficient solidarity in confronting anti-semitism. A highly unusual political intervention in the week before national elections. Rowley then doubled down on national television, adding his voice to those urging restrictions on the right to protest. I’m really troubled by um what we’ve seen is many of these marches they set out with an intent um to march near synagogues etc. and every single time we put conditions on to prevent that. But even that intent causes me concern that they repeatedly ask to do such things. This is simply not true along with much else that’s been said in the last week. It’s important to remember that what’s being proposed here is restrictions on the right to protest genocide, the killing of at the very least 72,000 people, close to a third of whom are children. We’re talking tens of thousands of small children maimed, mutilated, and murdered. Killings in which Britain is complicit through surveillance flights and arms supplies. Restricting the right to protest is a serious curtailment of British civil liberties. We feel it’s vital that you, the public, are in possession of accurate information. My colleague, Lorna Hosford, has pulled together a very basic fact check.

ZIONIST SUPPORTING IRANIAN PAHLAVIST THUGS OUT OF CONTROL WITH COPS BLESSINGS. Same account that threatened him is literally out and celebrating his attack… PRESS RELEASE – UK/IRAN: Protestor stabbed at anti-war demo in Downing Street A protestor has been stabbed outside Downing Street during a demonstration against the US/Israeli war against Iran. The victim, Mohammed Reza, a father of two, was attacked by two men taking part in an anti-Iranian counter demonstration. He was taken to hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries are as yet unclear. Police have arrested the attackers. Eye-witnesses report that the police seem to have paid little attention to keeping the counter protestors away from the main demonstration, organised by the Hands Off Iran Coalition. This is despite the fact that police are aware that pro-monarchist anti-Iran protestors have a history of trouble and violence. Hands Off Iran Coalition representatives attending tonight’s demonstration said that the counter protestors were freely walking across the road to intimidate and threaten their rivals. Tonight’s stabbing occurred after counter protestors had threatened the main protest with physical violence in full view of the police. It seems that police ignored or at the very least underestimated the warnings they have repeatedly been given about the threat posed by pro-monarchist thugs, who in recent weeks have targeted mosques, centres and individuals that have shown support for Iran. This includes throwing Molotov cocktails at the Islamic Centre of England in London. Police name man charged with stabbing during Downing Street protest The stabbing occurred as protesters gathered outside Downing Street for an anti-war rally The man was stabbed outside Downing Street during a protest against the Iran War A man has been charged with the stabbing of another man during a protest near Downing Street this week, as demonstrators gathered to decry the war in Iran. Earlier this week, Met Police officers responded to reports of a physical assault at 7.18pm on Wednesday, April 22, at Whitehall. Five men were arrested at the scene in connection with the incident, which police understand to be the result of a dispute among those attending the protest. One of these men, who is in his 40s, was taken to hospital with an apparent knife wound but he was later discharged. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening nor life-changing. Vahid Madaffard, 37, of Kenilworth Avenue, Harrow, was charged overnight with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He has been remanded in custody to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court this morning, Friday, April 24. Four other men who were arrested at the scene have been given bail while police enquiries continue.

PR voting system – in Scotland, and Wales. Voting boxes left overnight with security guard – security guards can easily be paid off. Vote count delays raise ‘real concerns’ over ballot security EXCLUSIVE: A three-day election count, and a pause between the polls closing tonight and ballot verification tomorrow morning, has raised serious questions over arrangements for the countAll the votes cast in today’s local elections across Croydon will be left unverified somewhere in the Fairfield Halls for at least 10 hours after the polls close. Sources from different political parties have raised serious concerns over a lack of security in a public building for such a prolonged period. Elaine Jackson, the council’s interim chief executive and the Returning Officer for the elections of Croydon’s Mayor and 70 councillors across the borough’s 28 wards, refused to comment when Inside Croydon asked her to explain how she intended to ensure that the votes will be tamper-proof. When the polls close at 10pm, the ballot boxes from Croydon’s 153 polling stations, from Crystal Palace in the north to Coulsdon in the south, will be taken to the count venue, which this year is the Fairfield Halls arts complex on Park Lane. At most local authorities, the ballot boxes, once delivered and unloaded, would immediately be verified by election officials while observed by the various parties’ election agents, prior to the count beginning as soon as possible, and with results being declared through the night. But not in Croydon in 2026. Jackson has decided to extend the vote count over two days, with voting in the mayoral election not being counted until tomorrow, Friday May 8, while votes in the local election count will only begin at 9am on Saturday – 35 hours after the polls closed. “Verification for both counts will begin at 8am on Friday May 8, ” a statement from the council says. That’s a 10-hour gap between the ballot boxes being secure in the polling stations and the votes being verified “You have to say it will be a matter of serious concern that people’s votes will remain unverified for such a long time, under uncertain security arrangements,” one experienced Croydon politico told Inside Croydon. “Ballot boxes could go missing, and no one would be any the wiser.” Croydon’s arrangements this year reflect the experience from 2022, when an overnight count at Trinity School starting just before midnight on Thursday dragged on until tea time on the Sunday, in what was an omnishambles of disorganiation, making Croydon a laughing stock across the country. Jackson, who was then the council’s assistant chief executive, will have been a leading figure in the organisation of the 2022 count. That count began badly, when some election agents and observers were denied access to monitor the verification. “It is an essential part of the process, to ensure all is done correctly, for election agents to be able to oversee the verification of the votes.” According to the Electoral Commission, “The verification of the used, unused and spoilt ballot papers is a legal requirement, and is central to the declaration of accurate results.” Verification is the tallying up process when the number of ballot papers issued is checked against the number of votes cast. “This is a record of the number of ballot papers expected and the number of ballot papers counted, along with an explanation for any variances. “Any agent may make a copy of this,” says the Electoral Commission’s advice to Returning Officers and election officials. “You should make copies available for the agents present once verification has been completed. “The verification statement is a key communication tool that will help to ensure that candidates and agents are confident that the processes at the verification and count are transparent and that they will produce an accurate result. “As with all aspects of the verification and count process, transparency is key and the process followed should be clear to all present.” According to Croydon Council, “Once we have verified the ballot papers for both the Mayoral and council elections, the ballot papers for the council elections will be placed back in the ballot boxes and sealed. “Those boxes will remain in the count areas in locked cages until Saturday morning, when we will begin counting the votes for the council elections.” And the council also said: “Security staff will remain on duty all night with the ballot boxes containing the council ballot papers.” Some agents and candidates will have been present at the council offices earlier this week for the initial checks on the thousands of votes submitted by post. Indications from this highly confidential process confirmed that voting in the mayoral elections will be very close.

In the first quarter of 2026, the combined $21.7 billion* in quarterly profits recorded by bp, Repsol, TotalEnergies, Eni and Equinor was 43% higher than the same period last year, reflecting a significant windfall from volatile oil prices caused by the US-Israel war in Iran. According to Global Witness’ analysis of quarterly filings, these six fossil fuel giants have not collectively generated this much money since Q4 2022. The three biggest European majors – Shell, bp and TotalEnergies – have earned $252 billion since the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Global Witness head of news investigations Patrick Galey said: “As lives are destroyed through war and people everywhere fear rising bills, it’s galling to see oil giants like Shell raking in obscene amounts of money. “Sadly, we all know this isn’t the first time oil giants have cashed in from war – when Russia invaded Ukraine 4 years ago, our energy bills spiralled as fossil fuel firms raked it in. “And now we’re seeing the same pattern repeat itself: the combined profits of Europe’s six biggest oil firms were up by 43% compared to the same period last year. These are clearly the spoils of war….

Bomber Beeching book by journalist and former Member of te European Parliament (MEP) Richard Cottrell – it was the US petrodollar lobby that closed British railways. Doctor Who? Atomic Bomber Beeching and his War on the Railways. by Richard Cottrell (2013) The book describes the efforts of the British Government to force the diversion of rail traffic to roads and the motor transport industry by shuttering much of the rail network. A key figure in this scheme was Doctor Who? – Doctor Richard Beeching – a physicist who it is revealed in this book for the first time helped to design the British A Bomb during his wartime work at top secret weapons establishment. Hence Atomic Bomber Beeching and his War on the Railways. Beeching’s reign of terror in the early 1960’s resulted in the closure of a third of the UK rail network, mostly on on entirely specious grounds to please his political masters in the Conservative Party. Parts of the system that he closed are now being painstakingly and expensively re-opened. The railway that he saw at death’s door is now carrying more passengers annually than its entire previous history. So Beeching was wrong? Of course. But Richard Cottrell’s book opens up a wide debate on why transport planners in the UK always get their knitting in a twist. Cottrell uses the Beeching cipher to explore the disasters of British airship adventures, the draw out motorway development saga, why the British motor industry produced so many dinosaurs and eventually collapsed, the long series of post war aviation maladventures including the ill-fated exploding Comet and the disastrous Concorde adventure, the drawn out fiasco of the Channel Tunnel, bizarre plots aided by Margaret Thatcher to block Docklands from getting a direct tube line connection in order to placate the City of London, the London Crossrail project and now the developing scandal of high speed rail transport. Cottrell brings in the long standing fatwa of British Airways and partner airlines to block high speed rail connections between the UK and much prized airline destinations in Europe. He makes the contrast between the French way of get up and go and the British method of muddle and confusion which led to the utterly botched model of railway privatisation. This, he says, is nothing more than a giant roulette wheel run by the Treasury extracting huge bids to run passenger trains. Cottrell is a passionate advocate of public transport, quite a contradiction for a former Conservative Euro MP, for which he is completely unapologetic He is a previously published author with previous works on Europe’s farm policy, the murder of a British journalist and undercover secret agent in Greece during the fascist military junta, and lately a book on Gladio: NATO’s Dagger at the Heart of Europe

Starmer Arson Trial Day 8 👉The sad story of Roman Lavrynovych – 👉Testimony of alleged main suspect attracts well dressed spooks to the public gallery. Tim Crossland from Defend Our Juries – why we need juries – why Elbit protesters had two trials –

Elbit protester’s barrister has been charged with contempt of court and the judge Mr. Justice Johnson has been promoted – defendourjuries.net.  A copy of the order obtained by The Grayzone exposes Judge Johnson’s egregious weaponization of contempt of court charges to sway jurors. Defendants and their lawyers are prevented from mentioning the principle of jury equity, which holds that a judge is forbidden from “[directing] a jury to convict.” They are also prohibited from inviting jurors to acquit the six activists based on conscience. That the activists believed “they had a defence to a charge of criminal damage” under British law likewise cannot be uttered. Judge Johnson’s order furthermore bars the defendants and their lawyers from doing the following: ++ Providing any reference to “Elbit’s activities in manufacturing weapons and supplying them to Israel; the nature of the property that the defendants damaged or destroyed; the defendants’ beliefs that weapons and other technology at Elbit’s factory would be used to kill or injure others, including children.” ++ Discussing “the history of the Middle East, including events…since October 7 2023,” or “Israel’s activities in Gaza” at any time. ++ Probing the jury’s “background knowledge and/or view about those events.” ++ Mentioning that the six defendants “were arrested for terrorism offences,” subsequently remanded in custody for up to 18 months – under conditions so onerous several went on hunger strike, while one defendant attempted to commit suicide – then “acquitted of offences of aggravated burglary and violent disorder” in February. Johnson’s naked attempts to rig the trial do not end there. At least nine people have been arrested for camping outside Woolwich crown court, where the six PA activists are being retried. Their crime was to have held signs reminding anyone entering the building – including jurors – of the principle of jury equity. Their signs read, “Jurors have an absolute right to acquit according to their conscience,” and “Jurors deserve to hear the whole truth.” They face contempt of court charges as a result.

Trump’s war on Iran. ABC News – US and Iran exchange fire in Strait of Hormuz – Trump giving Iran a ‘love tap’. ‘Just a Love Tap’: Trump Insists Cease-Fire With Iran Is Holding Despite Ongoing Attacks Traded The U.S. and Iran have traded fresh blows, testing the limits of a shaky cease-fire and threatening to unravel what American officials said was significant progress towards a peace deal. American forces on Thursday carried out retaliatory strikes on Iranian military facilities that allegedly launched a series of “unprovoked” missile, drone, and small boat attacks against U.S. warships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said. U.S. forces intercepted the Iranian attacks and no damage was done to the three U.S. Destroyers, USS Truxtun (DDG 103), USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115), and USS Mason (DDG 87), according to CENTCOM. President Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social that Iranian missiles and drones “dropped ever so beautifully down to the Ocean, very much like a butterfly dropping to its grave!” Iran responded to the airstrikes with “reciprocal action,” attacking American military vessels near the Strait, according to Iranian state media. The United Arab Emirates said early Friday that it was dealing with missile and drone attacks for the third time this week. The U.A.E., along with other Gulf states, has faced attacks from Iran in retaliation for the U.S. and Israel launching the war since late February. Iran’s military said on Thursday, “Some countries on the shores of the Persian Gulf supported U.S. in tonight’s aggression, and that has not gone unnoticed by IRAN either.” The latest attacks came a day after U.S. forces seized an Iranian oil tanker allegedly violating the U.S. naval blockade. Iran has called both the seizure and the naval blockade violations of the U.S.-Iran cease-fire that went into effect on April 8. Iran also pushed back on the U.S. characterization of Thursday’s airstrikes, saying that the U.S. hit civilian areas, according to Iranian state media.

Link between Iran war and Ukraine war? WW2 – 3000 Canadians sacrificed in Dieppe 1941 to keep Ainsworth Davies spy activities secret. The real James Bond helped kill thousands of people, mostly British allies. He was haunted by the ghosts of “perfectly loyal and innocent people who had been caught up in our operations…” He was just “following orders” which made no sense from a patriotic p.o.v. “We were not acting from patriotism or high moral principles. We were not doing this for England or Uncle Sam. As usual, we were doing what we had been told to do: we were carrying out our orders.” For example, Creighton tipped the Nazis off to the exact time and location of the 1942 Dieppe raid which cost 3000 Canadians their lives. He was told that the British wanted to test Nazi defences. The real reasons: convince Stalin it was too early for a second front, and build up Creighton’s credibility when it came time for the Normandy Invasion. During the 1930s, the Nazi Party looted thousands of pounds, hiding the proceeds in secret accounts. The key to getting it back lay with Nazi treasurer, Martin Bormann. The toll: over 800 US soldiers drowned. (Gestapo Chief Heinrich Muller wrote that the Nazis were tipped off by a German spy.) The fiasco was kept a secret to protect D-Day morale. Creighton says survivors were interned or killed by a sea mine in order to keep the secret. Ptarmigan military communications led to mobile phones A military communications system first used in the 1980s, and now on show in a Dorset museum, provided the technology for the mobile network we know today. The Ptarmigan system is one of ten objects chosen by Dorset’s museums for the BBC’s History of the World project. It looks at significant or important objects that help tell the story of the world. Ptarmigan provided secure and reliable communications to any user across a battlefield area for the first time. The innovative and influential system was first used by the Army in the early 1980s and, after regular upgrades, has only just been replaced by a new system, called Bowman. The original system – portable banks of dials, switches, computers and controls designed to go inside a military vehicle – is now installed in the Royal Signals Museum in Blandford Army Camp. The museum exhibits many examples of military communications equipment from the Royal Signals Corps, the part of the British army responsible for developing and providing army communications. The museum’s business manager Adam Forty said: “The thing about Ptarmigan is that it’s the whole mobile phone system, it’s the mast, the backroom, and it’s all transportable. “It’s like a mobile mobile system. “The important thing to remember is that it was running computer networks, running digital information systems of all sorts of varieties so the extent you could communicate within the military was astonishing. “The technology initiated the development of the mobile phone. “Ptarmigan was the original digital concept that the civilian manufacturers caught wind of, and that set them off in thinking about civilian applications for it.” Tom Moncere, a former military project research officer and now Secretary of the Royal Signals Institute at Blandford Camp, was involved in the process of making the technology used for Ptarmigan accessible to the commercial telecommunications companies of the time. He said: “Ptarmigan allowed communications to extend from the solider in the frontline trench to a whole network, and obviously, industry, who had been thinking along similar lines, got to hear about what we were doing. “In fact, I remember we were approached by representatives of the two telecommunications companies, Vodafone and Cellnet, who asked us to help them with some [mobile phone] trials.” Several trial handsets were given out to military staff for them to test, with prearranged people and locations for them to contact, over the course of several months. The trials proved so successful the testers were reluctant to return the equipment afterwards.

Iran war bringing down world economy. Iran war could push a flagging US economy over the edge With jobs falling, growth slowing and inflation risks rising, an Iran oil shock could be the jolt that tips US into recession The “fog of war” refers to confusion and uncertainty on the battlefield and the attendant possibility of fatal error. This principle has a parallel when it comes to the economic consequences of wars as well, especially when they occur in a region that is a chokepoint for the production and shipment of one-fifth of the world’s oil and a third of its natural gas. Although no one really knows how deeply the ripple effects of the joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran will impair the global economy, the Gulf kingdom of Qatar issued a dire warning on March 6, 2026, that reflects those concerns: “This will bring down the economies of the world,” Qatar’s energy minister said. The impact includes one of the largest oil price shocks in history, which briefly pushed the price of crude to nearly US$120 a barrel on March 8. As for the US economy, it was already showing signs of weakness. Data released on March 6 showed an unexpected loss in jobs in February. As an economist, I expect the biggest economic risks of this war to be inflationary pressures and slowing growth due to the rising price of oil. In addition, uncertainty from the “economic fog of war” could make consumers reticent to spend and businesses hesitant about hiring and investing. These conditions will make it challenging [impossible? ed.] for policymakers to steer the economy….

World Press Freedom Day – stop killing so many journalists in Gaza. On World Press Freedom Day, Pope honours journalists killed in war zones The pope urged the rememberance of journalists who lost their lives pursuing the truth, particularly in conflict areas. Pope Leo has marked World Press Freedom Day ?by condemning ?violations of media freedom around the world and paying tribute to journalists killed while reporting in ?conflict zones. At the end of his weekly Sunday prayer in a sunny Saint Peter’s Square at the Vatican, the pontiff ?said the day highlighted both the importance of independent journalism and the growing threats faced by reporters. “Today we celebrate World Press Freedom Day … unfortunately, this right is often violated, sometimes in blatant ways, sometimes in more hidden forms,” he said. World Press Freedom Day, ?sponsored by the UN cultural agency UNESCO is intended to show support for media organisations that come under ?pressure or censorship. It is also an opportunity to commemorate journalists who have been killed at work. The Roman Catholic leader urged the faithful to remember journalists and reporters who have lost their lives pursuing the truth, particularly in conflict areas. “We remember the many journalists and reporters who have been victims of war and violence,” ?the pope said. A report last month by the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs’ Costs of War project found that Israel’s war on Gaza was the deadliest conflict for media workers ever recorded, with Israeli forces having killed 232 Palestinian journalists since October 2023. More journalists have been killed in Gaza than in both world wars, the Vietnam War, the wars in Yugoslavia, and the United States war in Afghanistan combined, the report found.

NOT The BCfm Politics Show CANCELLED and attempts to intimidate us

July 2024 – Tony, Dave and Martin’s NOT The BCfm Politics show was CANCELLED/EVICTED in a no fault, no notice, no appeal, eviction by The People’s Republic of Stokes Croft (PRSC) arts centre – An email from Chloe Slater and Keith Cowling explained that: ‘Transphobic’ leaflets had been left in the building by a recent guest (who denied it) making Transsexual users of the building feel ‘offended’ and ‘unsafe’. To quote: ‘Please let us know when you or Dave would like to come and retrieve your equipment and drop off your keys. Kind regards’ PRSC Directors (Keith Cowling, chair) PRSC / Stokes Croft China 17-35 Jamaica St Bristol BS2 8JP. Chloe Slater (formerly Jez and self-defined as ‘she’) also made it difficult for us to retrieve the last of our equipment by inferring we couldn’t be trusted, we were made to wait outside their building for over 30 minutes to return their mixing desk in December 2024.

[UPDATE channel restored by YT in July 2025] October 2022 – Tony’s Public Enquiry Channel opened in March 2008, with 13 million views, over 1,600 videos and 26,000 subscribers is removed under false pretences by YouTube – A video Tony recorded in New Zealand ‘Bill Gates, ID2020 & Revelation: Quaker Tony Gosling on Covid 19 & the Bible’ and uploaded on 8th April 2020 got a ‘third strike’ but YouTube’s ‘medical misinformation’ regime was introduced in September 2021 so should not have included as ‘strikes’ videos uploaded before that date.  Documentary makers are just about the only public interest investigators left in the NATO zone. March 2020 – BCfm’s weekly Politics Show presented by Tony Gosling with Irish Republican Labour activist Martin Summers was forced off FM, now online only by station manager Pat Hart. He decided the show should be ‘rested, due to the pandemic’ on 24 March 2020 and then refused to communicate at all when we requested to do the show remotely. Bristol Community FM (BCfm) charity ‘CEO’ Patrick Hart is a longtime personal friend of Bristol’s all-powerful right-wing ‘Labour’ mayor Marvin Rees. Now on Internet only NOT The BCfm Politics Show is available 17:00-c. 21:00 live on Fridays. Pat Hart replaced us with an inane student show repeating MSM stories called The Bristol Agenda. If you’d like to share your views on his deliberate dumbing-down and pro-Covid jab mismanagement you can contact UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom or BCfm board chair and the ‘Don’ himself, here.

February 2019 – Ofcom complaint result: UKLFI exposed as creation of Israeli foreign ministryBristol Post article: BCfm cleared after being reported to Ofcom for anti-semitic conspiracy theories – It could have resulted in BCfm radio station being shut down if the complaint was upheld Tony Gosling reported to Ofcom by UK Lawyers for Israel after being accused of anti-semitism A Bristol radio station, which had one of its programmes reported for anti-semitism and racism has been cleared by Ofcom. The radio regulatory body received a complaint from “UK Lawyers for Israel’ over a show on BCfm radio, hosted by investigative journalist Tony Gosling. The weekly politics show, on the popular community radio station based in Easton, was reported for several allegations on a show which aired on November 23. Tony Gosling, who was a former BBC journalist between 1989 and 1993, has been producing and presenting ‘The Tony Gosling Politics’ show every week on BCFM radio for 11 years. They have released a statement which reads: “Whilst we are supportive of all our volunteer presenters, The Tony Gosling Politics Show only represents approximately ten percent of our political output content wise, and less than two per cent of our entire weekly output.” Mr Gosling’s programme looks at local politics and he interviews a range of councillors and MPs in the city. The show is also perhaps more well known for its alternative look at international politics, and he has a cult following online from across the world. Mr Gosling has made regular appearances on national media including the politics show with Andrew Neil on BBC One, and international channels such as Russia Today, Channel1 Russia, NTV, and recently for both Turkish and Lebanon TV.

November 2012 – Tony gets death threats on the phone from the Jewish Defence League – ‘you’re a dead man walking’ – a man calls him and Tony records the call. Audio of UK Jewish Defence League (JDL) death threat against British journalist Tony Gosling (2012) – Avon and Somerset police Special Branch investigate, trace the caller, and after six months report to Tony that the individual has been served a caution that they will proceed with a prosecution for harassment under the 1861 offences against the person act. Seems pretty clear this death threat was issued alongside the lies, copied below, which were published on their blog by London based UK JDL in November 2012.  Firstly Tony Gosling is not a ‘homophobe’. That accusation was first made in an article published by the ‘Harry’s Place’ blog, penned by Zionist David Toube and propelled by him anonymously into Private Eye in 2008. It refers to Gosling’s criticism of senior teachers at Bannerman Road Primary school in Bristol who used homosexual early learning picture books against the express wishes of the parent governors. His criticism was about the deception by teaching staff not because of the homosexual content of the books. Secondly, if you follow the JDL link you’ll find what Tony Gosling actually says about the ‘Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion’ says “…I don’t think there is much doubt that the Protocols are fake…” Thirdly he is not a member of Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign and has never been to any of their meetings.

Autumn 2014 – Tony’s documentary production and distribution business shut down by its bank. Our thriving Co-op business bank account ordered closed for undisclosed reasons. Tony Gosling and Ben Edwards founded i-Contact Video Network to distribute documentaries on VHS video and DVD and to make their own documentaries as well as attend news events and sell video footage to TV news channels. Amongst the films we distributed were Operation Solstice, Coconut Revolution, Mark Purdey and Organophosphates, McLibel, 9/11 In Plane Site, Ludicrous Diversion and The Battle of Trafalgar. These, plus books, and even a board game about drug dealing ‘Dollars and Dibble’, were all available via mail order and we supplied libraries around the world too. The bank had clearly been ordered to investigate us for money laundering, although they never admitted it. All the questions they asked Ben and I were about proving our identity through passports etc.. When we did, yet more letters kept arriving demanding more proofs, birth certificates etc. and eventually when one of us missed supplying the required information, within a week or so of being asked, the account was summarily closed and we got a cheque made out to one of us with the few hundred pounds that was in the business bank account. Since neither of us could get a business bank account up and running for at least a few months and the bank account meant nobody could any longer use the website, we made the reluctant decision to shut it down. Thus was a thriving business killed off by the Co_operative bank. Having said that, co-op were not quite the worst. We did apply to open an account at Bristol’s ‘ethical’ Triodos bank, who proceeded to string us along for several months and then said our business was too risky for them to provide an account!

Make Slavery Great Again? Judith Brown joins Tony and Martin. Universal Basic Income – pros and cons. Universal Basic Income: Make Slavery Great Again Living as Safe as Slaves Government UBI will happen – it already does to some extent, but the future will see it on a far, far larger scale. It will not be cash handouts but digital currency. This will be a tightly controlled version, as in a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), because the government will claim responsibility for controlling the money it dispenses. CBDC is essentially food vouchers, and intended to be. Your UBI will be yours as long as you use it for what the government allows, within the time they allow. Well-meaning people are already building the social acceptability for this. Those suggesting now that a virtuous society should prevent food vouchers or unemployment benefits from being used for sugar-based drinks or tobacco believe already that dependent people have lost their right to autonomy. Again, this is not at all theoretical. It is exactly what this form of money is intended for. Most people in society will see its introduction as a good thing, as they are fine with limiting the freedom of others if told that it serves a greater good. In countries like Canada, if you protest against the government, you can already lose your right to buy or sell. If you need permission to obtain the basics of life and cannot make your own choices on the pursuit of happiness, and you are punished for questioning those who restrict you, then you are in a master-slave relationship. In time, most people will become, essentially, a slave of the UBI provider, the government. This is the design behind UBI and CBDCs. It is why very rich people, the people who own the AI and robotics that are going to make so much human labor superfluous, see this as an excellent path. All the above will not seem at all dystopian. Governments will control their populations as part of saving the world (saving the world is important) and will readily convince a majority of the population that being saved is a good idea. We need governments to save us from climate catastrophe by stopping us from travelling, as our children are already told. We need large corporations to save us from pandemics, including those that the same corporations’ laboratories may develop. We need ever more expensive pharmaceuticals injected into us to save us from the scourge of obesity – to save us from our own inability to control our eating. We will certainly need saving from mass unemployment and the inability of a large part of the population to earn their own keep….

Different economic models. China. BBC QT – Olly Dugmore from New Statesman – are student loans next mis selling scandal?  Journalist hailed for ‘chilling’ Question Time speech on ‘disgusting’ Labour A JOURNALIST delivered a chilling speech on Labour’s “extraordinary” appointment of Peter Mandelson as US ambassador on Question Time. The studio audience were stunned into silence as the New Statesman’s Oli Dugmore lay bare his shock at revelations over the past week, including that Keir Starmer knew that Mandelson had continued his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein after the late paedophile’s conviction when he appointed him as US ambassador. The admission that came during Prime Minister’s Questions this week has led to some MPs suggesting Starmer’s position may now be untenable, as well as that of his chief of staff Morgan McSweeney. Dugmore was on the panel alongside Reform UK head of policy Zia Yusuf, Labour MP Emma Reynolds, Conservative MP Julia Lopez and LibDem MP Munira Wilson. Dugmore began by saying: “I’m generally a pretty forgiving person and I think our politics is poorer for its lack of empathy. “I think most people should not be defined by the worst thing they’ve ever done in their lives and most people deserve a second chance. “I do, however, have some moral boundaries, and one of them is I think it is wrong to have sex with children and I wouldn’t want to be friends with anyone that did that and I certainly wouldn’t want to work with them. If I did, I think you’d all be asking me questions and they’d be valid ones. “That is apparently now a fringe position for some people at the top of the Labour Party which is an extraordinary thing to be able to say. “I don’t know about you, I don’t know any paedophiles, I don’t know anyone that’s run a sex trafficking ring, these are extraordinary things we are talking about here.” Dugmore went on to talk about reports showing how people at the top of the Labour Party knew about Mandelson staying in Epstein’s house while he was in prison. To nervous laughter from the audience, he said: “They [Labour bosses] didn’t think that was disqualifying, they thought actually ‘this is our guy’. “This is our guy that we’re going to elevate to the most prestigious diplomatic posting that we have, we’re going to make him our man in Washington. Not only that, we’re going to bring him back to London every so often to advise on some Cabinet reshuffles, and actually when we’re choosing our candidates for the 2024 General Election, we’re going to let him put in on that too because we think he’s a great judge of character. “Like, come on.” The audience applauded his speech which has been widely shared on social media…

Eldin Fahmy, Professor of Social Policy at Bristol University, and part of Palestine Solidarity, joins Tony and Martin. “We oppose genocide, and therefore we support whatever nonviolent action might be required to stop it and to shut down the UK-based weapons manufacturers that are helping to enable it. We oppose genocide, therefore we support Palestine Action”, UK law professors set out why they signed open letter in support of Palestine Action Seven of the more than 100 academics to sign an open letter submitted to the High Court said they support ‘non violent action’ that might be required to stop genocide Several UK-based law professors have explained their decision to submit a letter to the Court of Appeal in support of the proscribed direct action group Palestine Action, as the court began hearing a government bid to keep the group banned under UK terror laws. Law Professor Neve Gordon at Queen Mary University of London and Professor Yvette Russell at the University of Bristol were among more than 100 academics to sign Tuesday’s open letter, composed of only seven words, which read: “We oppose genocide, we support Palestine Action.” Activists in support of Palestine Action hand-delivered the seven-word letter to the court on Tuesday, the same day that the government lodged its appeal against February’s ruling, which found the ban to be unlawful. Lady Chief of Justice Sue Carr confirmed that the judges had received the letter, with Carr reading it out in open court. Speaking to MEE on Thursday, seven of the professors that signed the letter defended their decision to do so, saying that because they opposed genocide, they “support whatever nonviolent action might be required to stop it”. “We oppose genocide because as academics who came of age in the decades that followed the second world war, we know that ‘never again’ must mean what it says,” they said in an email to Middle East Eye. “Since we oppose genocide and teach Law, we oppose, above all, any restrictions on one of the most fundamental principles of our entire judicial system and tradition – the hard-won principle that jurors have the right, indeed the duty, to hear and evaluate the whole truth of the case they are called upon to judge, and to acquit a defendant on the basis of their own independent judgment and conscience. “We oppose genocide, and therefore we support whatever nonviolent action might be required to stop it and to shut down the UK-based weapons manufacturers that are helping to enable it. We oppose genocide, therefore we support Palestine Action,” they said. “We support Palestine Action, and we call on all people of conscience and goodwill to join us in doing so,” the group added. More than 1,000 others also signed onto the letter, including leftist intellectual Tariq Ali, philosopher Judith Butler, writer Salley Rooney and activist Greta Thunberg.

Marketisation of universities. Universities mis selling a product – can students earn money back? Reform of higher education needed. Fighting privatisation in tertiary education We have one of the fastest growing private sectors in Europe and the level of private investment in tertiary education in the UK is already far above the EU and OECD averages. Fighting Privatisation Toolkit The government is committed to opening up the further and higher education sectors to ‘new providers’, especially those from the private sector. UCU is opposed to the privatisation of tertiary education. We think that the interests of our members, of the students and parents who are at the heart of education and of the wider society we serve, are best served by an education system that is funded and controlled by the public and that is democratically accountable to the citizens of the UK. Here you can read all about our campaigns against privatisation and download our resources. Education is not for profit The government is committed to de-regulating the higher education sector in favour of private companies, creating what it calls a ‘level playing field’ for profit-making companies. UCU has long been concerned that this will remove the academic checks and balances that protect standards in universities, allowing companies whose primary obligation is to their shareholders to drive down costs and opening the door to the kind of mis-selling, recruitment and fraud scandals seen in the USA recently. USIC pay freeze March 2026: Strike action has been taking place at University of Sheffield International College (USIC) over a pay freeze. USIC is owned by Study Group. Staff were told their cost of living pay increase, already delayed by six months, would be frozen for the second year in a row. Despite this, pay CEO Ian Chrichton took home over £600k in 2024, including a bonus of over £195k. The USIC UCU branch chair said: ‘Our members are angry that the college is being slowly run into the ground by an overpaid corporate leadership that shows no interest in quality of education.’ Falmouth University to bring on-campus academic staff in-house June 2023: After a long-running dispute Falmouth University is to bring on-campus academic staff in-house. The move means staff will automatically be enrolled onto the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS). All new campus-based academic jobs will also be employed directly through the university, rather than a subsidiary company. Falmouth UCU members voted overwhelmingly to resolve the dispute and work constructively with management going forward. ALRA drama school goes into liquidation April 2022: The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, based in London and Wigan, has announced it is going into liquidation. There was no warning given, and the first that either students or staff heard was a message on 4 April stating that the building was closed and that all staff were redundant from that date on. Secret discussions with the Office for Students (OfS) have led to an offer for students to transfer their studies to Rose Bruford but there was no such consideration for staff. UCU has highlighted the lax regulation of private educational providers: it is yet another stark reminder of the human consequences of government inaction. Government must bring colleges back into public ownership September 2020: The government needs to bring colleges back into public ownership and fund them properly, said UCU in response to a report on the financial sustainability of colleges from the National Audit Office: Bring colleges back into public ownership and fund them properly For-profit college goes into administration July 2019: UCU responded to the news that England’s biggest for profit college has gone into administration by calling on the government to look again at the funding free for all around private providers. Current students will now have to find alternative institutions from September: Controversial for-profit college goes bust leaving staff and students stranded…

China has free higher education. Censorship of academic voices by sponsors? Study Abroad in China. All You Need to Know about Tuition and Living Costs Many international students chose China for their studies abroad. But why? Well, China has been investing a lot in education over the last years and has developed partnerships with universities from the UK and US. Chinese universities offer quality education and have high-standard facilities. That’s why, over 100 higher education institutions are currently present in top rankings created by Times Higher Education and TopUniversities. But how expensive is it to live and study in China? Below, we’ll talk about average expenses, like tuition fees and living costs. We want to give you a general idea regarding what kind of budget you’ll need to study in the 4th largest country in the world. The average tuition fees in Chinese public universities range between 2,500 and 10,000 USD/academic year. You can also find several programmes with no tuition fees. These are usually offered by universities from other countries (e.g. the UK, Germany, Denmark), which have campuses in China. Tuition fees in private universities Private universities usually have higher tuition. While most courses cost under 30,000 USD/year, for some MBA programmes you can pay over 40,000 USD/year. Costs can be even higher in private institutions from other countries. For example, the New York University (NYU) Shanghai, established in collaboration with the East China Normal University of Shanghai, has tuition fees of over 50,000 USD/year. The most common accommodation options in China are: Student residence halls – prices range between 150 and 400 USD/month. Renting a flat – expect to pay between 300 and 1,000 USD/month for a one-bedroom apartment (depending on the city, the location of the apartment and the included facilities). Living with a Chinese family– between 350 and 550 USD/month…

King Charles’s speech at dinner in US. Is Trump different to other US leaders or is it just his methods?

Matt Kennard article – US, UK defence agreement. UK participating in Iran war although Starmer says they’re not. We still don’t know what’s in the 2020 UK-Israel defence pact The UK and Israel signed a secret military pact in 2020. British governments hate transparency, as we know so the public isn’t allowed to know anything of note about this defence agreement. This week we were reminded of its existence once again by journalist Matt Kennard. When the agreement was done, there were many celebratory social media posts, including from the Israeli military. Here is the head of strategy of the Foreign, Common and Development Office, Neil Wigan, a former UK ambassador to Israel, doing the same. You can read an excellent breakdown of recent UK-Israel military cooperation here for context. Defence agreement to boost ‘military cooperation’ In 2020, the UK Defence Journal (UKDJ) wrote: Most of the agreement is highly classified, but the cooperation will include defence medical training, organisational design concepts and defence education. UKDJ also cited a UK-Israel thinktank named BICOM as having said: Military cooperation has been growing over the last decade with the relationship viewed as mutually beneficial. The same report stated: In October, it was reported that the British had been given access to Israel’s Rhino mobile headquarters, designed by Elbit Systems. The British Army said the system helps to “reduce the size of the headquarters, makes it less vulnerable and able to make and communicate decisions faster. Israel’s Rhino headquarters is a form of networked command vehicle. You can read about it via Army Recognition. An October 2020 article on Middle East Forum said: For three weeks in October the British looked at various new technologies. One of the innovative designs is by Israel’s Elbit Systems and is called the “Rhino mobile headquarters.” It uses advanced digital technology to link together units in the field and commanders with the best information possible to help achieve results on the battlefield….

King Charles’s speech at Congress – US, UK special relationship. I am mindful that we are still in the season of Easter. The season that most strengthens my hope. It is why I believe with all my heart that the essence of our two nations is a generosity of spirit and a duty to foster compassion, to promote peace, to deepen mutual understanding, and to value all people of all faiths and of none. The alliance that our two nations have built over the centuries and for which we are profoundly grateful to the American people is truly unique. And that alliance is part of what Henry Kissinger described as Kennedy’s soaring vision of an Atlantic partnership based on twin pillars, Europe and America. That partnership, I believe, Mr. Speaker, is more important today than it has ever been. The first reigning British sovereign to set foot in America was my grandfather, King George V 6th. He visited in 1939 with my beloved grandmother, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. The forces of fascism in Europe were on the march. And sometime before the United States had joined us in the defense of freedom, our shared values prevailed. Today, we find ourselves in a new era, but those values remain. It is an era that is in many ways more volatile and more dangerous than the world to which my late mother spoke in this chamber in 1991. The challenges we face are too great for any one nation to bear alone. But in this unpredictable environment, our alliance cannot rest on past achievements or assume that foundational principles simply endure. As um my prime minister said last month, ours is an indispensable partnership. We must not disregard everything that has sustained us for the last 80 years. Instead, we must build on it. Renewal. Renewal today starts with security. The United Kingdom recognizes that the threats we face demand a transformation in British defense. That is why our country in order to be fit for the future has committed to the biggest sustained increase in defense spending since the Cold War. During part of which over 50 years ago, I served with immense pride in the Royal Navy, following in the naval footsteps of my father, Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, my grandfather, King George V 6th, my great uncle, Lord Mountbatton, and my great-grandfather, King George V. This year of course also marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11. This atrocity was uh a defining moment for America and your pain and shock were felt around the whole world. During my visit to New York, uh my wife and I will again pay our respects to the victims, the families, and the bravery shown in the face of terrible loss. We stood with you then and we stand with you now in solemn remembrance of a day that shall never be forgotten. In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, when NATO invoked Article 5 for the first time and the United Nations Security Council was united in the face of terror, we answered the call together as our people have done so for more than a century, shoulderto-shoulder through two world wars, the Cold War, Afghanistan, and moments that have defined our shared security. Today, Mr. Speaker, that same unyielding resolve is needed for the defense of Ukraine and her most courageous people. It is needed in order to secure a truly just and lasting peace. From the depths of the Atlantic to the disastrously melting ice caps of the Arctic, the commitment and expertise of the United States armed forces and its allies lie at the heart of NATO.

West’s destruction of Middle East. Middle East local communities good.  Communal living in Beirut Growing numbers of young people opt for shared homes in order to afford living in Beirut, experiencing a different lifestyle – and freedom The realm of beit mouchtarak (communal living), bringing mostly students and young professionals together, has been expanding in Beirut. Increasing rents but also expanding the prospect of freedoms that living at home does not provide, communal living has attracted more and more young people and couples. Among the most sought-after – and costly because they are located in hip areas with rooms priced $300 to $700 and above per month – are those close to universities and nightlife: Hamra, Gemmayzeh, Mar Mikhael and Achrafieh. Top priorities are avoiding nearby construction sites and finding (around-the-clock) electricity, wi-fi, air conditioning, parking and nice co-habitants in addition to personal liberties. Many locals, though, struggle to afford Beirut: “U want 3 months = $2700 + deposit $900 + broker fees $900, which adds up to a total of $4500 – seriously!” an angry woman recently posted in response to an estate agent’s offer on Facebook. Living spaces and flatmates are often found within social networks. There are dozens of groups on Facebook, and through notes and posts put up in strategic places such as university notice boards or in cafes, in emails that circulate, waseet (classifieds) or through friends. Many set-ups bring together people who previously were strangers. “Whenever I shared a flat with friends it would be the continuation of a story we both knew. The only difference would be tackling the new-found issues like hygiene, smoking indoors incompatibility, pets, etc,” Natheer Halawani, 30, said. “But when it came to strangers, I would instantly take a stranger over somebody I knew.” Nadia Younes, 27, a veteran in communal living, has effectively done so. “In the past two years, I have met three out of the five roommates I have had in my current flat from the apartments on the Beirut [Facebook] page,” she told MEE. She checks candidates’ Facebook pages before making up her mind. Younes is clear about what she will and won’t put up with. “I simply expect them to respect the shared living space,” she put forward. “And to be able to share in responsibilities for the flat such as paying bills, talking to the natour [concierge], flipping the switch for the generator, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen and to contribute to general expenses.” She also insists on courtesy, which includes general greetings and to be given a little notice before groups of friends come over. Hot spots are usually the shared kitchen and bathroom, with dirty dishes, clogged up drains, toilet seats left up, smoking rules – and rules in general. “We had very strict rules for cleaning up the shared spaces and were more lax about sharing the cost of living as we were both on very limited allowance from our parents,” Nathalie Diab, 32, recalled of her Achrafieh student commune. Halawani also believed in rules: “We had many rules. What worked best was having one main tenant that would take care of everything including bills. Usually this would result in the main tenant paying less.” Harb, however, in one flat stopped enforcing the rules. “It was too much emotional energy spent. And as a result, I am no longer friends with the girls I used to live with.”

Stabbing of Jews in Golders Green – 48,000 stabbings annually. Why are there so many stabbings in Britain? A total of 51,527 knife crime offenses were recorded in England and Wales in the 12 months up until June 2025, excluding the region of Greater Manchester, according to the UK’s Office of National Statistics (data is recorded differently in Manchester). Of these offenses, 196 were homicides, the ONS said. Notably, the overall number of recorded knife crime offenses in the year leading up to June 2025 fell 5% when compared with the year before. While the issue of knife crime is a “serious social concern,” it “should not be a source of moral hysteria,” Iain Overton, executive director of the non-governmental organization Action on Armed Violence told CNN on Monday. In the year leading up to March 2024, 570 homicides took place in England and Wales, according to ONS, with 262 homicides committed using a knife or other sharp instrument. The most commonly used instrument in these homicides was a kitchen knife, ONS said. Shooting killed only 22 of the victims. A total of 64 teenagers aged between 13 and 19 were killed in this time frame, ONS said, with 83% of these victims being killed by a knife or sharp instrument. Because not all knife crime offenses are reported to police, hospital data can also help in understanding the extent of the issue. From April 2024 to 2025, there were 3,494 instances in which patients were admitted to hospital in England for assault by sharp object, according to NHS England data. Nearly 90% of patients treated were male, with 16% of patients aged 18 or under. Scotland and Northern Ireland record crime separately to England and Wales. A total of 28 homicides were committed by sharp instrument in Scotland from 2023 to 2024, and four in Northern Ireland in the same time frame. In the United States, a total of 1,704 people were killed by a “cut” or “pierce” in 2023, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This type of crime is the result of “an incision, slash, perforation, or puncture by a pointed or sharp instrument, weapon, or object,” according to US public service organization The National Safety Council.

Israeli false flags. Jonathan Hall – Pro Palestinian marches encourage anti Semitism – banning of IRGC. The Stop the War Coalition has labelled attempts to link the Golders Green attack with pro-Palestine marches as “false” and “unacceptable,” as speculation mounts that the UK authorities will try to ban anti-genocide demonstrations.

It refers to the ethnic cleansing of 750,000+ Palestinians in 1948 by Zionist colonists leading to the ‘State of Israel’. It is observed on 15th May. As a second Nakba unfolds, join us in demanding an end to genocide, occupation, and apartheid. Defend the right of Palestinians to: • EXIST as a sovereign, free people • RESIST tyranny and oppression • RETURN to their historic homeland All of Palestine is occupied. From the River to the Sea, Palestinians Must be Free! Organised by local groups including Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War, Bristol Apartheid Free Zone and Bristol Trades Union CouncilThe right to protest is a fundamental freedom In Latest news, Press Releases and Statements In the wake of the horrific antisemitic attack in Golders Green, politicians and the media have rushed to falsely characterise the marches for Palestine and to call for them to be suspended. These calls dangerously conflate Jewish people with the state of Israel and peaceful political protest with unconnected violent acts. We utterly reject both. On Saturday 16 May we will march in London for the annual commemoration of the Nakba – the catastrophe inflicted on the Palestinians by Israel since 1948. We will march in opposition to the British government’s complicity in Israel’s well-documented ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and genocide. This year, we will also march against Tommy Robinson and his far-right supporters mobilising on the same day. The organisers of the demonstration are fascists, racists, and islamophobes who have espoused the antisemitic great replacements theory. As always, our march will involve thousands of Jewish people – many of them proudly displaying their Jewish identity – as part of the Jewish Bloc, as organisers and platform speakers. By bringing together people from all backgrounds and walks of life, we will reaffirm opposition to all forms of racism including anti-Palestinian racism, antisemitic, and Islamophobia. The right to protest is a fundamental democratic freedom that must be protected. We call on all those who believe in the universal principles of freedom, justice, and equality to join us at 12 noon on Exhibition Road on Saturday 16 May. Join us – Nakba 78 March with us on the streets of London, 16 May 2026.

Part Two – International news review, Accelerationist, Armageddonist reports and investigations

New UK Ambassador to US, after Mandelson, Christian Turner, says Israel has special relationship with US, not UK. Epstein scandal. America’s special relationship is ‘probably Israel’, says UK ambassador to US In leaked remarks, Christian Turner also says it is ‘extraordinary’ that Epstein scandal has not affected sex offender’s US associates Britain’s ambassador to Washington has said that America’s only “special relationship” is “probably Israel”, not the UK, in remarks that risk embarrassing King Charles during his visit to the US this week. Sir Christian Turner also criticised America’s political system for failing to hold US associates of the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to account, saying it was “extraordinary” that the scandal “hasn’t touched anybody” in the US. He noted that, by contrast, senior British figures, including his predecessor as ambassador Lord Peter Mandelson and “potentially the prime minister”, had been “brought down” by the affair. A recording of the remarks, made in mid-February at an event with UK students visiting Washington, shortly after Turner started in post, was shared with the FT this week. In comments that are outspoken for a senior diplomat, he said UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer had been “on the ropes” earlier this year from the fallout over the appointment of Mandelson, and that the Labour Party could “remove” him after local elections in May. During a question-and-answer session, Turner said he disliked the phrase “special relationship” to describe Anglo-American ties, complaining that it was “quite nostalgic, it’s quite backwards-looking, and it has a lot of baggage about it”. He added: “I think there is probably one country that has a special relationship with the United States — and that is probably Israel.” The comments were made in the weeks running up to the US-Israeli strikes on Iran that began the current conflict in the Middle East. Turner said that London’s link to Washington was nonetheless “so strong”, adding: “There is a deep history and affinity between us. Particularly on defence and security, we are intertwined.” But he added that: “The relationship will carry on, if you want, being ‘special’, but I think it’s going to have to be different.” Britain and the rest of Europe must “work to redefine” the relationship, particularly on defence grounds, instead of relying on a US security umbrella, he said. The UK also needed to make clear what it brought to the table in the bilateral relationship, he said. Turner answered questions about the Epstein scandal and the contrast in how it had played out on either side of the Atlantic. He said it appeared to him “extraordinary” that the scandal over the convicted sex offender had “brought down a senior member of the royal family [Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor], a British ambassador to Washington, potentially the prime minister, and yet here in the US, it really hasn’t touched anybody”. He said it was an “interesting question” about the “different levels of accountability in our systems”. The remarks have come to light ahead of the King’s address to Congress on Tuesday afternoon, as he and Queen Camilla undertake a four-day state visit to the US, which will also take in New York. The King and Queen have resisted intense pressure from campaigners and US congressman Ro Khanna to meet some of Epstein’s victims while in the country. The royal visit has been regarded by British government figures as a salve for the bilateral relationship at a time of severe strain following US President Donald Trump’s repeated attacks on Starmer and criticism of Britain for refusing to offer more support to the US-Israel war against Iran. During his speech at the welcome ceremony for the British royals, Trump hailed the two nations’ “unique bond and role in history”, calling it “the essence of our special relationship, and we hope it will always remain that way”. Turner acknowledged that US legislators aimed to “bring to account some of those senior figures” associated with Epstein, including inviting Mandelson and Mountbatten-Windsor to testify before Congress. However, he added: “How many Americans have been called to testify before Congress when the Epstein files show very, very senior people, politicians, business folks, Bill Gates, all having a close association with Epstein?” Since Turner’s remarks, Gates, the Turning to the appointment and subsequent sacking of Mandelson, Turner said the saga was a “crisis” that “has nearly brought down the government and ended the prime minister’s tenure”. The diplomat said of Starmer’s premiership earlier in February that “at one stage he was pretty clearly on the ropes” and his future looked “quite touch and go”. The Labour Party’s rules set a high threshold to remove a sitting prime minister, Turner noted, highlighting that it required 80 MPs to “sign a letter in public, which is like signing a death warrant”. Reaching such a bar was “still quite difficult” and Starmer was “a stubborn guy” who would be unlikely to quit, the ambassador said. However, he added: “The moment I would look to is the May elections. If Labour does very badly . . . I suspect the party will be able to go over that threshold and remove him — seems to me to be the conventional thinking.” He added: “If they do OK, he might carry on going . . . That’s just for me as a citizen speculating because I have to serve whomever is there.” Turner offered his view of the key issue governing Mandelson’s appointment, saying “the vetting thing’s a bit of a red herring”. “The problem was he had a bunch of associations that were embarrassing to him and the government that had not been revealed,” he added. “And, arguably, once they were uncovered, the prime minister moved to sack him.” Turner’s comments were never intended as public statements of government policy, UK officials stressed. Sir Peter Westmacott, a previous UK ambassador to the US, defended Turner. He told the FT: “It can be embarrassing when remarks intended for a private audience are made public, but I see no reason why what he said to a group of students a couple of months ago need affect his ability to continue the excellent start he has made in DC.” A Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office spokesperson said: “These were private, informal comments made to a group of UK sixth-form students visiting the US in early February. They are certainly not any reflection of the UK government’s position.”

Ex- UK Ambassador to Syria and Bahrain, Peter Ford – US, Israel special relationship – was Mandelson appointed to cover secrets – the key point in in what the ambassador said was that the only country that had a special relationship was Israel. Um, and uh, I think the Israelis would have had an interest in in leaking this um, this tit um, put the boot into the UK to u unsettle uh, us and to assert their own standing uh, because Israel is a jealous lover that does not tolerate a third party in bed with itself and the United states and we witnessed during the recent visit uh just a few days ago in Congress uh Congress rose to its feet in a standing ovation 12 times for Charles. A few months ago they rose to their feet standing ovation for Netanyahu 53 times. I think that uh makes it fairly clear who’s special in the eyes of Washington. Yeah. Well, interesting way to look at it. And you’re you’re quite right about the numbers, too. Uh but but you know, you’re talking about us being abused in the UK by the United States. It doesn’t look like that, does it? When you look at uh King Charles and Donald Trump, it looks as if King Charles is cocking a snook at Trump and he’s somehow superior. In fact, he’s actually uh gently insulting Trump um and correcting him uh almost like a sort of grandfather figure. Uh so it doesn’t quite square with what you’re saying about Britain being a sort of lesser partner here. Look, Tony, Charles should not have gone there. Should never have gone there. He’s doing Trump an enormous favor by even going there. Uh the small price that Trump is paying is to tolerate Charles’s m Charles’s mild uh chiding of him. He’s got the big prize. The king of England, the king of England, for Evan’s sake, has visited the monster of the White House, who is fresh from uh waging illegitimate war in the Middle East, uh who has been talking about destroying civilizations. I mean, the idea that the British monarch should dream of going there. I mean, it’s like, well, I’m sorry I have to drag Hitler [laughter] in here, but the parallel is so obvious. If the king of England had thought that he’d visit Germany in the immediate aftermath of Germany’s uh [clears throat] invasion of Czechoslovakia, uh it would have been unthinkable and it should similarly have been unthinkable for Charles. It it’s demeaning again. It’s pathetic. He He’s not my king. He’s not our king by going to pay court to the emperor of America. He should never have gone. He should They the monarchy isn’t useful for much. But they could the monarchy could have struck a blow for everything that is decent and right by by doing nothing, by just not going to America. Now, uh the headlines uh change from time to time. You get a headline and you know half an hour later it’s changed, an hour later it’s changed again. That’s the way of the internet. It’s not like the old newspapers once it’s in print that’s it. Uh and one of the independent headlines uh this week as yesterday was uh the king’s US visit palace responds after Trump claims Charles supports the US Iran war. Now this is after their little quiet chitchat behind the scenes. I mean, on the surface of it, it looks as if um this is something that that Trump is just kind of blurting out because he likes to do this. Um where he maybe was supposed to be keeping his mouth shut. Do you think that Charles, it’s possible Charles did say to him that quietly that Britain does support him? Uh it’s all playing with words. I’ve no doubt that Charles was briefed to say that um while u the British government may have expressed some disqu uh we do of course support the objective of um bringing of preventing Iran from ever having a nuclear weapon and that is British policy. That is British policy right or or wrong. Um, but I think Trump as always uh twisted it uh to give the impression that Charles supported his launching the war uh which I I’m 99% certain Charles uh did not say he supported. He would not have departed from his brief in that way.

BREACH OF PROTOCOL, THE FLY ON THE WALL? After confidential meeting Trump tells press King Charles told him the UK supported his war on Iran. Trump defied protocol by relaying details of private chat with king. A state dinner honouring King Charles III and Queen Camilla was overshadowed by an unexpected diplomatic disclosure as President Donald Trump claimed the British monarch had privately agreed with him on Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The comments, made during Tuesday’s event, sparked mild consternation among UK pundits, highlighting a significant breach of royal protocol. Speaking to attendees, Trump recounted a private meeting earlier in the day, stating: “We’re doing a little Middle East work right now … and we’re doing very well.” He continued, “We have militarily defeated that particular opponent, and we’re never going to let that opponent ever — Charles agrees with me, even more than I do — we’re never going to let that opponent have a nuclear weapon.” While the sentiment regarding Iran might resonate with many Britons, publicly relaying a private conversation with the sovereign is unusual. British convention dictates such discussions remain confidential, partly to ensure the monarch stays above the political fray. Crucially, the King cannot publicly engage in debate or correct the record if misquoted, making such disclosures particularly sensitive. Craig Prescott, an expert on constitutional law and the monarchy at Royal Holloway, University of London, underscored the gravity of the situation. “Generally, as a matter of protocol, I think I would expect discussions between heads of state to be sort of behind the scenes, in those closed meetings, for those to be sort of kept private,” he said. “And, you know, this was something that the U.K. government wanted to avoid.” The incident occurred amid considerable apprehension surrounding the King’s US trip. The visit, carefully choreographed by the UK government, aimed partly to mend a rift from Trump’s frustration with Prime Minister Keir Starmer over his stance on the Iran war. The hope was that warm relations between the King and Trump, who seems to love all things royal, could help bridge diplomatic divides. However, Trump’s unconventional leadership style and penchant for breaking protocol had raised concerns about potential missteps. Buckingham Palace swiftly issued a statement to provide context, asserting: “The King is naturally mindful of his government’s long-standing and well-known position on the prevention of nuclear proliferation.” Prescott noted that the central concern had always been Trump’s unpredictable nature. “In a sense, this was always the issue, just what Trump would do or say — would he put the king in an embarrassing position,” he said, adding, “You always had that sort of issue of what he would post on social media. And I think, you know, this could have been much, much worse.” Prior to the state dinner, King Charles delivered a speech to a joint session of the US Congress, receiving repeated standing ovations. His address celebrated the enduring bonds between the two nations while acknowledging differences on issues such as Nato, support for Ukraine, and the need to combat climate change…

Nigel Day from Nuke Watch – how nukes are taken around UK. NukewatchUK Watching Britain’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Nuclear weapons convoy routes The components for the warheads are made at AWE Aldermaston (Atomic Weapons Establishment) in Berkshire and taken to nearby AWE Burghfield for assembly. The convoys take the completed warheads from Burghfield north to Coulport on Loch Long, north of Glasgow. At Loch Long the carriers are unloaded and the warheads placed in underground bunkers in the Trident Area. When required they are taken to the Explosive Handling Jetty at Coulport where they are fitted onto the missiles on the Trident submarines. The warheads require to be checked every so often and batch samples are taken from the Coulport depot to Burghfield and returned to Coulport after servicing. The frequency of convoys varies but is usually around six a year. The MOD prefers convoys to travel on motorways and A roads but at either end of the route they must use smaller roads. Not all roads are passable due to the great weight of the convoy trucks. There is an eastern route, mainly relying on the A1(M), and a western route using the M6/M74, although they sometimes go across country from one to the other. Emergency exercises take place on bases in East Anglia and occasionally elsewhere. IMPORTANT : Remember Nuclear Warhead Convoys can be seen on other routes. It is vital that you tell someone from Nukewatch whenever you see one.

Matt Ehret in Canada – history of UK, US special relationship – Henry Kissinger – who’s really in charge? They were largely devoted to the idea of of infiltrating and taking a new strategy of of multi-generational planning to infiltrate and subdue uh and ultimately undermine the foundations of the United States from within. And one of the core instruments as well as something patronized by uh King Charles III even today which was set up in 1902 uh the same year as the roads trust was set up of the Anglo American uh friendship organisation known as the uh the pilgrim society and uh it was presided over as a chair one of the chairman was Henry Kissinger for for many many years and the leading figures of the US establishment uh the highest you know blueb blood families uh the the Morgans, the Vanderbilts have all been patrons and members of this agency. Tucker Carlson himself is a is a member the he’s part as was his father. So I I see that there has been a long-term agenda to try to work to infiltrate and then dismantle whatever was viable about the United States from within directed by British intelligence, the city of London for a very long time. And I am concerned that the stage has been set, a trap has been set. To what degree Trump is aware of this, I don’t know, to absorb uh the US back into the the fold as part of the the new 21st century commonwealth. Now, it’s funny because uh you know the uh the king actually mentioned Henry Kissinger too in his speech to Congress. Uh he’s quite an important and a powerful figure uh it seems and he’s eulogized even though of course he was responsible for all sorts of trouble around the world in Indonesia, Cyprus just to name a couple, Chile uh using using US projecting US power uh in regime change operations for decades. Suddenly he’s part of this system um of shared British and American values. Yes. And you know he was made a knight of the order of St. George and St. Michael. People don’t know this uh in 1993 by Queen Elizabeth uh I uh for his service to the empire um a year before George Bush senior was made also a member of the same chivalick order of St. Michael and St. George. One of the things that Kissinger had even said at Chatham House in 1981, May 10th, he gave a speech um appraising US British special relations and especially the the special relationship that was set up by Truman at the death of Franklin Roosevelt where uh in Kissinger speech number one, he outlined the two opposing policy doctrines uh between Churchill and that of FDR of what the post-war world was supposed to look like, saying that he much preferred Churchill as the wisest of the statesman as far as Churchill’s commitment to restore the the grander of a new kind of British empire with uh as Churchill had said uh a world run by American brawn and British brains.

Big Tech in US – Theosophy – Theosophy: The Hidden Religion of the Global Ruling Class How Theosophy infiltrated the UN, Big Tech, and wellness culture to pave the way for a one-world faith You have heard of Marxism. You have heard of Darwin. You have heard of Freud. Christians have spilled oceans of ink warning about their corrosive impact on Western civilisation. But you have probably never heard of Theosophy. That ignorance is not an accident. Theosophy is the hidden religion of the ruling class, the occult philosophy that has quietly shaped everything from global governance to New Age mysticism to technocratic utopianism. And it is not simply a philosophy. It is a demonic counterfeit of Christianity. If the average churchgoer understood what Theosophy was and where it leads, they would recognize that the world religion of the End Times is already here, slowly tightening its grip. The remarkable thing is that nobody tells you this. Your pastors are silent. The so-called Christian intellectuals waste their breath chasing partisan politics. And the mainstream press dismisses it as the hobby of spiritual cranks. Yet here at Insight to Incite, I pull the curtain back. I show you that behind the bland smiles of global bureaucrats and the gentle marketing of meditation apps lies an old religion whispering through the centuries. When Scripture warns that “in later times some will depart from the faith, devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons” (1 Timothy 4:1), this is what it looks like Theosophy began in the late nineteenth century with Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, a Russian mystic who claimed to receive revelations from “ascended masters.” She wrote fat volumes like Isis Unveiled and The Secret Doctrine which were less books than grimoires, channeled collections of demon-speech. Blavatsky presented herself as a wise woman unveiling a secret gospel hidden for centuries. In reality, she was constructing a demonic system of religion that fused Hindu reincarnation, Buddhist enlightenment, gnostic mysticism, and occult spiritism into one grand counterfeit. Theosophy taught that mankind is evolving through successive “root races.” Each cycle is overseen by these ascended masters, spiritual beings who supposedly guide the progress of humanity toward godhood. There is no need for Christ or His cross in this system. Redemption is not found in His blood but in endless cycles of reincarnation, climbing higher and higher through spiritual ladders until man becomes divine. It is Genesis 3 recycled, the serpent whispering again that “you shall be like gods.” Theosophy baptized this lie in exotic terminology, pulling from India and Tibet to make it sound ancient and noble. It spoke of karma, cosmic brotherhood, and hidden wisdom reserved for initiates. It sounded profound, but it was the same old demonic lie with a new mask. In its pages, Satan himself is recast not as the enemy of mankind but as the liberator of light. Blavatsky once wrote, “It is Satan who is the god of our planet and the only god.” These are not scholarly curiosities. They are the blueprint of Antichrist religion. The genius of Theosophy was that it built a comprehensive theology to rival Christianity. It had a doctrine of creation, where divine sparks were scattered into matter. It had a doctrine of sin, where ignorance and attachment to materiality trapped us in cycles of reincarnation. It had a doctrine of salvation, where spiritual elites revealed esoteric knowledge to help mankind ascend. And it had a doctrine of eschatology, where a final enlightened race would usher in an age of unity and brotherhood. It was a parallel gospel. A false kingdom with false apostles and false promises. Yet unlike many heresies, it was never content to live in the shadows. Theosophy deliberately sought cultural influence. It wanted schools, political movements, publishing houses, and global organizations. Blavatsky’s successors such as Annie Besant, Rudolf Steiner, and Alice Bailey all pushed these ideas into the bloodstream of Western civilization. Bailey even founded the Lucifer Publishing Company, later renamed Lucis Trust, which remains embedded inside the United Nations to this day. What began as a séance in a Russian parlor became a movement that could whisper into the ears of statesmen, educators, and media elites. And it continues to this hour…

Accelerating towards Armageddon as a religious idea – the Samson Doctrine – the Shock Doctrine – New Leak Reveals Israel’s ‘Samson Option’ Includes American Cities on Nuclear Target List A trove of documents released this week, reportedly obtained through a cyberattack on Israeli military intelligence servers, appears to confirm long-speculated claims about Israel’s “Samson Option”—a last-resort nuclear strategy to destroy the world if Israeli existence is threatened. Among the most alarming revelations: a list of nuclear targets that includes major cities in the United States and Europe. The files were reportedly released by Iranian cyber operatives and are currently being examined by multiple Western intelligence agencies. If authenticated, the materials could have profound implications for global diplomacy and nuclear stability. According to security analysts who have reviewed the leaked documents, cities identified in the alleged target list include New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and the NORAD command center in Colorado. Also named are Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Beijing, and Tehran. The documents outline a doctrine of “mutual destruction not limited to direct aggressors,” implying that nations deemed complicit or passively supportive of Israel’s hypothetical demise could also be targeted. The “Samson Option” Explained Named after the biblical figure Samson—who brought down a temple, killing himself and his enemies—the doctrine has long been rumored but never officially acknowledged by Israeli authorities. It’s understood by some defense analysts as a form of extreme nuclear deterrence, aimed at preventing any coalition from attempting to eliminate the Israeli state. “This is not traditional deterrence,” said one senior NATO defense advisor speaking on background. “It resembles a diplomatic suicide vest. If the files are real, it shows Israel is prepared to take the rest of the world down with it in the event of existential collapse.”…

Police State UK: Met Police Commissioner wants ZIO-COPS on London streets – takes on political role. Extra armed Police to protect Jews. Is Iran, US war continuing over weekend? Met chief: We need special police force to protect Jews Sir Mark Rowley proposes government-funded unit to tackle anti-Semitism ‘epidemic’ The Metropolitan Police needs a new specialist force to protect Jewish people from “a pandemic of anti-Semitism” in the wake of the Golders Green attack, Sir Mark Rowley has said. On Friday, the Met Commissioner said he had submitted a proposal to Shabana Mahmood, the Home Secretary, for the Government to fund a permanent unit of about 300 extra neighbourhood and armed officers to combat the “epidemic” of anti-Semitism. He said it was not “sustainable” for his force to be “dragging” officers and resources from other parts of London to protect the community after the stabbing of two Jewish men in north London on Wednesday and a surge in arson attacks on synagogues and other Jewish organisations. Sir Mark said he was considering whether to seek to ban two marches next month, one pro-Palestinian and one anti-immigration. It came as Essa Suleiman, 45, a Somali-born British man, was charged with attempted murder over the Golders Green attacks. He was Tasered and arrested by police on Wednesday. “We’re facing a building pandemic of anti-Semitism in society,” said Sir Mark. “My problem is we’re dealing with the policing. We’re dealing with the symptoms of that disease. We need work done to tackle those attitudes in society which are far too prevalent. “But I need the strength in my resources to be able to tackle those symptoms to best effect and reassure Jewish communities that we’re doing everything possible to keep them safe.” Sir Mark said the extra officers would require “sizeable” annual funding from the Home Office, larger than the £25m announced on Thursday to boost policing and other community measures. The money would expand neighbourhood policing teams in Jewish communities, create a new community policing hub and increase teams of detectives to speed up hate crime investigations. This year, the Met has been forced to cut 1,700 officers, police community support officers and staff after it was left with a £260m funding black hole. Sir Mark continued: “We need to target those most at risk. The Jewish community suffers far more hate crimes per capita than any other community in London. We’re going to tip more resources towards it, and we need government support to make that sustainable.”…

‘When strikes become a reality depends on what comes next. Sleep well, European partners!’ Russia warning they may attack UK drone sites. Russia names four UK locations as targets and warns strikes could ‘become a reality’ Russia has issued a direct threat to four UK locations that it says have been aiding Ukraine and contributing to ‘dragging’ Europe into the conflict. Dmitry Medvedev, the former Russian president and Vladimir Putin’s deputy head of security council, released a list of 23 sites he says are now in the crosshairs of the Russian armed forces for supporting Ukraine in the production of attack drones. In a post on X, he wrote: ‘Russian Defense Ministry’s statement must be taken literally: the list of European facilities which make drones & other equipment is a list of potential targets for the Russian armed forces. ‘When strikes become a reality depends on what comes next. Sleep well, European partners!’ Start your day informed with Metro’s News Updates newsletter or get Breaking News alerts the moment it happens. The UK locations identified were Reading, street addresses in London and Leicester, and a road running through the RAF/USAF base in Mildenhall, Suffolk, which is predominantly used by the United States Air Force and commonly referred to as its ‘gateway to the United Kingdom’. The firms it claims are involved were named as Fire Point and Horizon Tech.

Last hereditary peers given marching orders. Does removing hereditary peers from the Lords benefit Britain? A seismic moment in UK political history has passed with barely a whimper – A thousand years of history has ended with nothing much more in the way of ceremonial pomp and circumstance than a short speech by a former minister in the Thatcher government, Michael Forsyth, now speaker of the House of Lords, and an appreciative post on X by the leader of the opposition, Kemi Badenoch. And so, with the end of this session of parliament, the remaining hereditary peers have finally departed their gilded chamber with its red benches and royal thrones, no longer legislators for the common people. It’s a moment, as they say, if a muted one. Some 115 years after the first serious assault on their privileges, what Lloyd George called “Mr Balfour’s poodle” because of its obedience to the wishes of the then Tory party leader, has been finally euthanised. What have we gained? Well, it has to be said that the House of Lords is no more democratic now than it was before, and it is now a wholly appointed chamber – no one has elected any of them. The 2024 Labour manifesto promised an “immediate modernisation” to “remove the right of hereditary peers to sit and vote in the House of Lords”. However, not much seems to be happening on “replacing the House of Lords with an alternative second chamber that is more representative of the regions and nations”. Certain Labour peers have also objected to the mandatory retirement age of 80, because they’ve only really just got going. What have we lost? Undeniably an incredible, almost unbroken, thread of history. Interrupted only by the relatively brief Cromwellian Commonwealth in the 1660s, there has been some sort of assembly of “nobles” to advise the monarch since the 11th-century Witan – “an Anglo-Saxon political body made up of councils consulted by Saxon kings and attended by religious leaders, magnates and the king’s ministers”, according to the official parliamentary record. The oldest peerage with a seat in the Lords until this week could be said to be that of the Lord Great Chamberlain, created in 1126. Some of the various peers that have now departed argue that the public service their families have furnished over centuries gives them a stake in the nation’s fortunes and a truly long-term vision of what the country is all about. Aside from such mysticism and sentimentality, some of the hereditaries brought expertise to the role and took their job of lifelong legislators and defenders of the constitution seriously. It is certainly striking to see, until now, familiar names from history, in the form of their descendants, still playing a role on the national stage – the Duke of Wellington, Lord Russell, Viscount Astor, Earl Attlee and so on….

Ousting of Iranian Shah in 1979 not all it seems? article. Were BP behind the 1979 Iranian revolution? William Engdahl book on Shah. At the time, the Shah was negotiating a 25-year oil agreement with British Petroleum (BP), but talks broke down in October. BP demanded exclusive rights to future Iranian output but refused to guarantee oil purchases. The Shah balked and was on the verge of independently seeking new buyers with eager ones lined up in Germany, France, Japan and elsewhere. Washington and London were alarmed and acted. They implemented destabilization plans, starting with cutting Iranian oil purchases. Economic pressures followed, and trained US and UK agitators exacerbated them by fanning religious discontent and overall turmoil. Oil strikes as well were used. They crippled production and made things worse. American security advisors recommended Iran’s Savak secret police use repressive tactics to maximize antipathy to the Shah. The Carter administration cynically protested human rights abuses, and BBC correspondents exaggerated anti-Shah protests to rev up hysteria against him. At the same time, it gave Khomeini an open platform to speak and prevented the Shah from replying. Things came to a head in January, 1979 when he fled the country, and Khomeini returned to Tehran and proclaimed a theocratic state. Chaos was unleashed, and by May the new regime cancelled plans for further nuclear reactor development. At the same time, Iran’s oil exports were cut off, and the Saudis inexplicably cut their own in January. Spot prices skyrocketed, and a second oil shock ensued that was as deviously conceived as the first one. Then it got worse. In October, newly appointed Fed Chairman Paul Volker unleashed a new scheme that turned calamity into catastrophe by design. It was a radical new monetary policy on the pretext of “squeezing inflation out of the system.” In fact, it was made-in-Washington fraud to preserve dollar hegemony, make it the world’s most sought currency, and crush industrial growth to let political and financial power prop up dollar strength. Volker succeeded by raising interest rates from 10% to 16% and finally 20% in weeks. World policy makers were stunned, economies plunged into the deepest recession since the 1930s, and the dollar began an extraordinary five year ascent. The combined effect of oil and Volker shocks took “the bloom off the nuclear rose” and ended its threat to Anglo-American oil supremacy. And if more was needed it came on March 28, 1979 in the middle of Pennsylvania at a place called Three Mile Island. Conveniently, at the same time The China Syndrome was released that fictionalized the ongoing event. The combined effect was public hysteria, and later investigation revealed critical valves had illegally been closed. In addition, FEMA controlled all news to create panic. The scheme worked, and Anglo-American supremacy was reasserted over the industrial and financial world. Nothing is stable forever, however, and within a decade new rumblings would be felt.

Toxic waste on Duchy Estate land in Wigan.  King’s private estate tried to sell land with UK’s ‘worst illegal waste dump’ to council KING Charles’s private estate tried to sell land that was contaminated with a large rotting illegal waste dump to a local authority, it has emerged. In January, a 25,000-ton site described as the UK’s “worst illegal waste dump” in Bickershaw, Wigan, was revealed to be largely on land owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, the King’s extensive private portfolio of properties and estates. Previously, the Duchy said it had offered to transfer the land to Wigan Council in July last year. However, a Freedom of Information Request by Channel 4 News found that the Duchy tried to sell the site to the local authority at full market price. The Duchy previously claimed that it is, in effect, exempt from regulations and duties to clean the site on account of an ancient feudal legal framework dating back some 750 years. Then in February, following revelations that the toxic illegal landfill was largely on the Duchy’s land, the estate followed up the offer to the council, offering to transfer the land for free. “We have discussed the matter with the Duchy Solicitor, who has confirmed the Duchy will transfer the property to the Council for nil value and with each party bearing their own costs in the hope that that will assist the Council in dealing with the property in conjunction with its own adjoining land,” the Duchy wrote. In the revealed correspondence, emails from the Duchy’s solicitors, Farrer & Co, show, in addition to the transfer offer, that the Duchy attempted to sell the contaminated land at market value to the council. In July, the Duchy reportedly wrote: “… it may be possible to sell the land to you. Any sale would have to be at open market value and the Duchy of Lancaster’s valuers, and our costs would have to be paid as well.” Wigan Council told Channel 4 News on Monday that it “respectfully declined” the Duchy’s offer. A Duchy of Lancaster spokesperson told Channel 4 News: “We continue to work with Wigan Council to try and find an effective resolution to the illegal waste site.” Last month, Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham said that the Duchy’s plan to hand contaminated land to the local council is “not an acceptable response”. The UK Government has since announced it will fund the clean-up of the Wigan site, although it has yet to begin…

Starmer in trouble over Mandelson appointment. Iran war and economy.  Foreign Office Official Refuses to Face MPs Over Mandelson Vetting Foreign Office official Ian Collard will not appear in person before a committee of MPs to answer questions about the vetting process for Lord Peter Mandelson’s appointment as UK ambassador to Washington. Dame Emily Thornberry had requested that the civil servant speak to the Foreign Affairs Committee on Tuesday, but confirmed on Saturday he would submit written answers instead. Background of the Vetting Controversy Sir Keir Starmer’s former chief of staff Morgan McSweeney is due to appear on Tuesday, and the committee has already heard from sacked Foreign Office chief Sir Olly Robbins and Cabinet Office permanent secretary Cat Little. Mr Collard is a former ambassador to Lebanon and Panama and was appointed the Foreign Office’s chief property and security officer in March 2023. It was Mr Collard who Sir Olly said briefed him on the vetting findings that deemed Lord Mandelson a borderline case and leaned towards recommending that clearance be denied. Dame Emily has asked Mr Collard to detail his recollection of this meeting and whether it lines up with Sir Olly’s evidence, in a letter to the Foreign Office setting out questions to be answered by 5pm on Monday.

Demo for rent controls in London over weekend – opinions of some attendees. Liv West housing association – can’t put rents up much, but can put up service charge. Thousands of renters protest their landlords Politics-JOE The National Housing Demonstration took place in London today and thousands of renters turned out to protest the rising costs and declining conditions of their properties. The National Housing Demonstration is a large, organised protest in which tenants, housing campaigners, and community groups come together to highlight problems in the housing system, especially rising rents, lack of affordable homes, and increasing homelessness. The demonstration aims to pressure the government to take action by introducing policies like rent controls, stronger tenant protections, and greater investment in social housing. The protest follows the passing of the Renters’ Rights Act is a major piece of proposed legislation aimed at improving conditions for tenants across the United Kingdom. It seeks to abolish “no-fault” evictions under Section 21, which currently allow landlords to evict tenants without giving a reason, and replace them with a more secure system. The bill also proposes stronger protections against unfair rent increases, ensuring tenants have greater stability in their homes. In addition, it introduces a new ombudsman to resolve disputes between landlords and tenants more quickly and fairly. Landlords would be required to meet higher property standards, helping to improve living conditions. The legislation also aims to make it easier for tenants to keep pets, subject to reasonable conditions. Overall, the Renters’ Rights Bill is designed to create a fairer balance between landlords and tenants while addressing long-standing issues in the private rental sector.

Stats on rent, mortgages, and tax on landlords. Paul Smith, who now runs a housing association, was in charge of council house building under Marvin – he found it impossible to get anywhere. Housing developers.  Tax changes for landlords come into force The start of the new tax year brings changes to mortgage interest tax relief and capital gains tax for buy-to-let landlords. Landlords face enormous tax increases from April 6 2020, with the end of mortgage interest tax relief and an increase in capital gains tax. The start of the new tax year has seen mortgage interest tax relief scaled back further, while landlords who sell a property also now have less time in which to pay capital gains tax. People who previously lived in a property that they later rented out have also seen tweaks made to the tax reliefs they can claim. The changes to mortgage interest tax relief, which were well flagged in advance, have been blamed for many landlords exiting the sector in the past couple of years. These are the main changes landlords need to know about: Mortgage interest tax relief The government has been in the process of tapering down mortgage interest tax relief since 2017 and gradually replacing it with a new system. Before April 2017, landlords could claim mortgage interest tax relief on 100% of their mortgage interest costs. The amount they could claim was gradually reduced to 25% last year. But under the new system, which comes into force on 6 April 2020, the relief has been phased out completely and replaced with a 20% tax credit for mortgage interest. Changes to mortgage interest tax relief will affect around 55% of landlords who have one or more buy-to-let mortgages. Coronavirus: Get the latest property news and information Capital gains tax payments Capital gains tax is paid on the profit people make when they sell a property that is not their primary residence. The tax is charged at a rate of up to 28% on the difference between the property’s purchase price and its sale price, after deduction of the personal allowance. This personal allowance is £12,300 in the 2020-2021 tax year. Landlords have previously had to declare capital gains tax liabilities in their annual tax return, giving them more than a year in which to settle the bill. But from April 6 2020, they will need to declare and pay the tax within 30 days of selling a property…

Jeremy Corbyn on Mandelson influencing the Labour Party in to private public partnerships such as Palantir monitoring NHS data. How Peter Mandelson destroyed the Labour Party | Jeremy Corbyn PoliticsJOE Ava spoke to former leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn a few weeks ago about the downfall of Starmer’s government due to the psychodrama surrounding Peter Mandelson’s appointment to Washington. In this clip, Corbyn breaks down his experience dealing with Mandelson as far back as the 1980s, and how the former Business Secretary managed to single-handedly bring down the party.

Universal Basic Income introduction as AI takes jobs. Universal Basic Income: Progressives sceptical of tech billionaires’ UBI support Tech billionaires like Elon Musk and Sam Altman are advocating for universal basic income as a solution to unemployment caused by AI, but House progressives are sceptical of their motives. House progressives are looking askance at the recent embrace of universal basic income by tech billionaires like Elon Musk and OpenAI’s Sam Altman. Musk has lately posted about the need for a “Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government” as “the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI.” And Altman has voiced some support for universal basic income proposals or even a “Universal Basic Compute” plan to give Americans a share of AI productivity. But as the left grows increasingly distrustful of big tech companies, progressives aren’t convinced of the moguls’ sincerity. “It’s always that the devil’s in the details where that comes from,” said Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. “I am skeptical about their willingness to pay or incur the taxes necessary to sustain such proposals, which would have to target AI.” Such schemes would create guaranteed income for adults and children and have gained some traction in recent years, amid concerns that AI will substantially disrupt the workforce and result in increased unemployment. But Musk’s role as the head of DOGE in the Trump administration has poisoned the well among many Democrats, who are increasingly wary of AI and the companies developing the technology, too. “Somewhere deep down in the recesses of their hearts, some love must exist to come out in support of something like that,” said Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, D-N.J., who introduced a UBI pilot program bill this Congress. But she too was doubtful of the tech billionaires’ motives: “I don’t think it’s out of charity. It’s out of business.” Another progressive wasn’t immediately dismissive. “Welcome on board,” said Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who has previously

Shadow UK Housing Minister IS BEING EVICTED! James Cleverly blames new Renters Rights Act (not his 2020 Tory landlord taxes) for his landlord selling up. Financial institutions taking over houses as distressed assets and becoming landlords. Shadow Housing Secretary Blames Labour’s Rent Reforms For Eviction From His Home Conservative MP James Cleverly has revealed that he is being forced out of his rented home in his constituency, blaming government reforms to the rental sector that will take effect next month. Speaking to PoliticsHome, the shadow housing secretary, himself a former landlord, said that the Renters’ Rights Act was forcing “good landlords” like his in Essex out of the market. The reforms, which ministers describe as the most significant changes to renting brought in by a UK government, include the banning of “no-fault” evictions, meaning landlords must provide a valid legal reason for eviction, the ending of fixed-term contracts, and putting a stop to “bidding wars” which result in tenants paying more than the advertised price. Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Steve Reed, has called the legislation “the biggest leap forward in renters’ rights in a generation”, saying it is “levelling the playing field between renters and landlords”. However, Cleverly, the Tory MP for Braintree, claimed it was forcing landlords nationwide, including his own, to sell their properties, creating a “spate” of evictions. The former cabinet minister, who told The House magazine he is considering running for London mayor, explained that he rented a property in the northern part of his Essex constituency after selling his old home of 10 years. “The key bit of this is the arrogance with which [Labour] approached this process. They just refuse to listen to the points we’re making because it was we who were making those points,” he told PoliticsHome. “Unfortunately, now the people who are suffering are the people who could and should have a decent supply of properties in the private rented sector, and they don’t. “The people who they claim to want to protect are the very people who are being disadvantaged by this and it didn’t have to be like this. If the Labour Party weren’t so arrogant and unwilling to listen, it wouldn’t be happening.” Legal advice firm Landlord Action this week reported a sharp rise in landlords asking for help with tenant evictions ahead of the legislation coming into effect on 1 May. “As Section 21 is phased out, landlords are acting now while they still have certainty, because many are not confident in what replaces it,” said Landlord Action founder Paul Shamplina. Critics of the reforms say new costs and regulations facing landlords will ultimately result in fewer rental properties, which in turn will likely lead to rent going up….

Biobank collected medical data on UK citizens for research – found for sale in China! UK Biobank health data listed for sale in China, government confirms Nurse taking blood from person as biobank logo appears on screen in background.Image source, Getty Images Medical information of 500,000 participants of one of the UK’s landmark scientific programmes, UK Biobank, were offered for sale online in China, the government has confirmed. Technology minister Ian Murray said information of all members of the database was found listed for sale on the website Alibaba. Murray told MPs the charity which runs UK Biobank had told the government about the breach on Monday. He said the information did not include names, addresses, contact details or telephone numbers. However he said it could include gender, age, month and year of birth, socioeconomic status, lifestyle habits, and measures from biological samples. The Biobank is a collection of health data offered by volunteers which has been used to help improvements in detection and treatment of dementia, some cancers and Parkinson’s. It has collected intimate details – including whole body scans, DNA sequences and their medical records – from hundreds of thousands of volunteers for over two decades. The project has led to more than 18,000 scientific publications.

Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir, 22 part manifesto on how Military Industrial Complex needed to defend Western capitalism. Bilderberger Alex Karp has criticised the belief that all cultures are equal and called for universal national service. Alex Karp also called the disarmament of Germany and Japan after World War Two an “overcorrection”, backed AI weapons and condemned “ruthless exposure” of the private lives of public figures. Karp’s views matter – his company’s growing roster of UK government contracts include the NHS, the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Financial Conduct Authority and 11 police forces. Not to mention its multimillion dollar deals with the US and other powerful governments. But as the firm increasingly embeds itself in public bodies, the opinions and influence of its leaders leave some fearful. “Every alarm bell for democracy must ring,” Prof Shannon Vallor, chair of ethics of data and AI at Edinburgh University, told the BBC. Palantir’s 22-point summary of Karp’s book: 1. Silicon Valley owes a moral debt to the country that made its rise possible. The engineering elite of Silicon Valley has an affirmative obligation to participate in the defense of the nation. 2. We must rebel against the tyranny of the apps. Is the iPhone our greatest creative if not crowning achievement as a civilization? The object has changed our lives, but it may also now be limiting and constraining our sense of the possible. 3. Free email is not enough. The decadence of a culture or civilization, and indeed its ruling class, will be forgiven only if that culture is capable of delivering economic growth and security for the public. 4. The limits of soft power, of soaring rhetoric alone, have been exposed. The ability of free and democratic societies to prevail requires something more than moral appeal. It requires hard power, and hard power in this century will be built on software. 5. The question is not whether A.I. weapons will be built; it is who will build them and for what purpose. Our adversaries will not pause to indulge in theatrical debates about the merits of developing technologies with critical military and national security applications. They will proceed. 6. National service should be a universal duty. We should, as a society, seriously consider moving away from an all-volunteer force and only fight the next war if everyone shares in the risk and the cost. 7. If a U.S. Marine asks for a better rifle, we should build it; and the same goes for software. We should as a country be capable of continuing a debate about the appropriateness of military action abroad while remaining unflinching in our commitment to those we have asked to step into harm’s way. 8. Public servants need not be our priests. Any business that compensated its employees in the way that the federal government compensates public servants would struggle to survive. 9. We should show far more grace towards those who have subjected themselves to public life. The eradication of any space for forgiveness—a jettisoning of any tolerance for the complexities and contradictions of the human psyche—may leave us with a cast of characters at the helm we will grow to regret. 10. The psychologization of modern politics is leading us astray. Those who look to the political arena to nourish their soul and sense of self, who rely too heavily on their internal life finding expression in people they may never meet, will be left disappointed. 11. Our society has grown too eager to hasten, and is often gleeful at, the demise of its enemies. The vanquishing of an opponent is a moment to pause, not rejoice. 12. The atomic age is ending. One age of deterrence, the atomic age, is ending, and a new era of deterrence built on A.I. is set to begin. 13. No other country in the history of the world has advanced progressive values more than this one. The United States is far from perfect. But it is easy to forget how much more opportunity exists in this country for those who are not hereditary elites than in any other nation on the planet. 14. American power has made possible an extraordinarily long peace. Too many have forgotten or perhaps take for granted that nearly a century of some version of peace has prevailed in the world without a great power military conflict. At least three generations — billions of people and their children and now grandchildren — have never known a world war. 15. The postwar neutering of Germany and Japan must be undone. The defanging of Germany was an overcorrection for which Europe is now paying a heavy price. A similar and highly theatrical commitment to Japanese pacifism will, if maintained, also threaten to shift the balance of power in Asia. 16. We should applaud those who attempt to build where the market has failed to act. The culture almost snickers at Musk’s interest in grand narrative, as if billionaires ought to simply stay in their lane of enriching themselves . . . . Any curiosity or genuine interest in the value of what he has created is essentially dismissed, or perhaps lurks from beneath a thinly veiled scorn. 17. Silicon Valley must play a role in addressing violent crime. Many politicians across the United States have essentially shrugged when it comes to violent crime, abandoning any serious efforts to address the problem or take on any risk with their constituencies or donors in coming up with solutions and experiments in what should be a desperate bid to save lives. 18. The ruthless exposure of the private lives of public figures drives far too much talent away from government service. The public arena—and the shallow and petty assaults against those who dare to do something other than enrich themselves—has become so unforgiving that the republic is left with a significant roster of ineffectual, empty vessels whose ambition one would forgive if there were any genuine belief structure lurking within. 19. The caution in public life that we unwittingly encourage is corrosive. Those who say nothing wrong often say nothing much at all. 20. The pervasive intolerance of religious belief in certain circles must be resisted. The elite’s intolerance of religious belief is perhaps one of the most telling signs that its political project constitutes a less open intellectual movement than many within it would claim. 21. Some cultures have produced vital advances; others remain dysfunctional and regressive. All cultures are now equal. Criticism and value judgments are forbidden. Yet this new dogma glosses over the fact that certain cultures and indeed subcultures . . . have produced wonders. Others have proven middling, and worse, regressive and harmful. 22. We must resist the shallow temptation of a vacant and hollow pluralism. We, in America and more broadly the West, have for the past half century resisted defining national cultures in the name of inclusivity. But inclusion into what?

Kemi Badenoch on Starmer’s failings in appointing Mandelson. Mossad controlling Mandelson via Epstein and Rothschilds.

Trevor Chinn funding of political parties. Powerful Zionist lobby. How pro-Israel money captured Starmer’s Labour – The UK Labour Party has been rocked by yet another scandal and is facing scrutiny over revelations that its leadership has been captured by a network of unelected funders and lobbyists with deep ties to Israel and Zionist organisations. At the centre of the controversy is Morgan McSweeney, Keir Starmer’s powerful chief of staff, and his long-time association with billionaire businessman Trevor Chinn. Documents and leaks show that between 2017 and 2020, McSweeney oversaw Labour Together, a factional project that secretly accepted more than £730,000 (around $930,000) in undeclared donations, allegedly in breach of electoral law. Much of this money is said to have come from Chinn, a figure whose involvement in Labour politics has for decades been bound up with the defence of Israel and the advancement of Zionist networks inside the party. Chinn is no ordinary donor. A director of Labour Together until 2024, he has bankrolled both Conservative and Labour Friends of Israel (LFI) throughout his career. In early 2025, he was awarded the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honour by President Isaac Herzog for his services to the apartheid state. Chinn’s commitment to Israel has been described as one of his “animating concerns” over three decades of political donations. An investigation by Jody McIntyre, who stood as a candidate for the Workers Party in the last general election, shows how deeply enmeshed Chinn became with McSweeney’s project. McSweeney reportedly concealed donations “to protect Trevor” from scrutiny, according to McIntyre’s investigation. Labour Together, however, later dismissed the failure to declare the funds as an “administrative error,” a line advised by solicitor Gerald Shamash, another Labour figure with a record of blocking debates on sanctions against Israel.

Agents to Rothschilds article – Rainer Laidtke. The Light disinformation paper – La Monde Diplomatique. Agents for the Rothschilds In 2016, the publisher De Gruyter released an essay by Rainer Liedtke titled Agents for the Rothschilds: A Nineteenth-Century Information Network1. Drawing on the Rothschild Archive London — correspondence from over one hundred business agents working for the various Rothschild houses — Liedtke documented a recruitment and intelligence operation that spanned the European continent and reached into Latin America for most of the nineteenth century. The paper describes a system in which agents were placed in locations where the Rothschild banks did not maintain a permanent presence. These agents carried out business transactions, gathered political and economic intelligence, and forwarded information that enabled the family to make decisions ahead of competitors and, frequently, ahead of even governments. Liedtke notes that what we now would consider insider trading ‘was commonplace in nineteenth-century finance and part of the salary package of employees of financial institutions’. The agents were not merely tolerated in this practice — they were compensated through it. The recruitment criteria tell their own story. Trust was paramount, and two principal routes existed for earning it: being a relation of the family, or having worked within one of the houses for a considerable period. Marriage was the preferred option, and these marriages ensured that important business locations were ‘covered in the long run by trustworthy representatives’. Liedtke is explicit about one boundary: … such men never gained access to the decision-making circle of the family but instead maintained their own business interests separately, albeit profiting significantly from contacts to the Rothschild network. The agents were operationally essential, but they remained permanently outside the core. Only born Rothschilds were fully trusted. The ‘quintessential criterion’ for whether a Rothschild bank existed in a given city was whether a Rothschild was willing to move there. He also documents a deliberate policy of heterogeneity. Despite being Jewish, the Rothschilds employed non-Jewish agents as a matter of strategy. A homogeneous network, Liedtke explains, would be ‘self-referential’ — limited to the social circles its members already moved in. Diversity of background expanded the network’s reach into drawing rooms, ministries and trading floors that a uniformly Jewish network could not access. Agents sent to locations where they had no prior ties were valuable precisely because they lacked local loyalties — their ‘foreignness’ meant their primary allegiance remained with the principals abroad, uncompromised by existing relationships in the places where they operated. Liedtke records a shift over time in what the principals expected. In the early decades, the network’s value lay in raw market data — commodity prices, exchange rates, shipping movements. After the telegraph commoditised this kind of information in the mid-nineteenth century, the agents’ importance shifted towards strategic political assessment: who was likely to form a government, which minister could be cultivated, what policy was being contemplated before it was announced. Only one vulnerability recurs in the archive. August Schönberg, dispatched to New York and later known as August Belmont, declared himself the Rothschild agent on Wall Street without authorisation. The distance between New York and London made control impossible. Belmont could not be dislodged, and the family was forced to tolerate an agent who had, in effect, gone rogue. Liedtke treats Belmont as the system’s one significant failure.

Diane Abbott having a go at Starmer. Morgan Mc Sweeney pushing appointment of Mandelson. Gerald Ronson, Zionist owner of Rontec petrol stations, sacking local staff and bringing in migrants. Ed Milliband on stupid appointment of Mandelson. “Why didn’t the Prime Minister ask?”: Diane Abbott’s question to Starmer lingers unanswered In the cavernous theatre of the House of Commons on 20 April 2026, amid two and a half hours of choreographed indignation and procedural deflection, a single sentence cut through the fog: Why didn’t the Prime Minister ask? Diane Abbott’s question hung in the chamber for a moment and was then, with practised establishment efficiency, allowed to evaporate. The press and broadcasters moved on. By the evening bulletins, the discourse had reverted to its most comfortable ruts: was the Prime Minister a liar, or was he merely, as the Conservative leader suggested, “grossly incompetent”? The nation was invited, once again, to choose between flattering explanations of its own government. Abbott’s question does not belong to that debate. It does not accept either of its premises. It points, with the clarity only outsiders retain, at something both parties of the Westminster duopoly have an interest in not examining too closely: the possibility that the Prime Minister appointed, to the most important diplomatic post in the world, a man under active criminal investigation for having passed sensitive government data to a convicted to a convicted sex offender – and simply did not bother to ask whether his security clearance had gone through. There is an answer to Abbott’s question, though it is not the one the Prime Minister offered. It was supplied the following day, in much plainer language, by the very civil servant Starmer has publicly undermined. Olly Robbins, the recently-dismissed permanent secretary at the Foreign Office, told a parliamentary committee on Tuesday that he would “absolutely not” have considered it appropriate to inform Starmer that the United Kingdom Security Vetting service had recommended Mandelson be denied developed vetting clearance. He had not considered it, he explained, because decisions of that kind “must remain confidential.” This sentence received no attention. What Robbins described – and one suspects he described it honestly, which is precisely why Number 10 briefed against him so briskly – was not a breakdown in communication. It was the system functioning exactly as designed. The British security-clearance architecture is constructed so that Prime Ministers are not told which of their appointed have failed security vetting…

Matt Kennard on US military bases in UK. Chris Cole from Drone Wars on how AI not as good as claimed. Iron Dome running out. Chris Cole on RAF Fairford being a drone launch point. The use of Fairford air base in Gloucestershire by United States military forces to conduct strikes against targets in Iran has highlighted important issues surrounding the UK’s role in the current conflict in the Middle East. Following an initial refusal in February 2026, the UK government has authorised the use of certain military bases for what it terms “specific and limited defensive action” against Iran. This decision has raised major questions about the nature of this military support, its legal basis under international law, and the extent to which the UK can verify and control operations launched by the US from its sovereign territory. The UK has shown a reluctance to recognise Iran as the target of illegal acts of aggression under international law or to criticise attacks by the US and Israel. At the same time, anti-Iran rhetoric from Ministers has led some to question whether the government is refraining from “wider involvement in the broader ongoing conflict”, as it claims, or is instead quietly providing material support for US offensive operations. Fairford air base supports the deployment of US bomber task forces in Europe. Its proximity to the Middle East, compared to US bases in North America, allows for quicker flight times to targets, facilitating logistics and increasing the intensity of the bombing campaign. Eighteen US Air Force B1-B and B52 bombers arrived at Fairford over the period 6 – 13 March 2026 and commenced bombing operations on 10 March.1 Diego Garcia air base in the Indian Ocean, under the control of the UK government, has also been mentioned as a potential base for US bomber strikes on Iran. At the time of writing it is not known whether US aircraft are using Diego Garcia. This briefing analyses the UK government’s position, the command and control structures governing US strikes on Iran, and the significant challenges the UK faces in ensuring its involvement remains within the legal and policy boundaries of “defensive” operations that it has established. The UK government’s stated position and its legal basis The UK government’s position on the use of its bases for attacks on Iran has evolved under significant pressure. In late February 2026, Prime Minister Keir Starmer reportedly denied a US request to use bases such as Fairford and Diego Garcia for pre-emptive strikes, citing concerns over international law.2 However, following the onset of US and Israeli strikes on Iran on 28 February and subsequent Iranian retaliatory attacks on regional allies, the government altered its stance.

Protest at RAF Fairford Saturday 25th April at 12pm – Chris will be there.  ‘No War on Iran’ – demonstration at Fairford base Join CND, Stop the War, and Fairford Action for a demonstration against the use of UK bases in Trump’s disastrous war on Iran. CND, Stop the War Coalition, and members of Fairford Action will hold a demonstration at RAF Fairford on Saturday, 25 April, over concerns the base is being used to commit war crimes. Protesters will call on the British government to end its support for the illegal US-Israeli aggression and shut down the US bases in Britain used to attack and support attacks on Iran. The protest comes as Trump announces an extension of talks, whilst simultaneously escalating US military deployments to the region – with USS George HW Bush aircraft carrier, three destroyers and another 5,000 US troops heading towards Iran. Donald Trump had also threatened to conduct further war crimes against Iran if his demands aren’t met by destroying every bridge and every power plant. It follows a previous, thinly veiled threat by Trump to use nuclear weapons in Iran before the ceasefire came into effect. RAF Fairford has been a critical base for US attacks on Iran. Before the ceasefire took place, huge long-range B-1, B-2, and B-52 bombers had been carrying out twice-daily bombing missions from the base, dropping 2,000lb bombs on Iran, before returning directly to Fairford. Thousands of civilians have been killed in Iran and infrastructure destroyed by heavy bombers including bridges, hospitals, schools and residential areas. Other British bases that have also been used in the attacks on Iran include refuelling and logistical support from RAF Mildenhall, and the transit of F-35 and F-15 fighters, and A-10 ‘tank buster’ aircraft via RAF Lakenheath to bases in the Middle East. There is also mounting evidence that Lakenheath now hosts US B61-12 nuclear weapons. CND General Secretary Sophie Bolt said: “The British government is complicit in these illegal attacks on Iran. As targets are often assigned or updated during a bomber’s flight, the British government cannot confirm that these planes aren’t leaving to commit war crimes when they’re rolling down the runway. While Trump makes nuclear threats and promises to attack civilian infrastructure if his demands aren’t met, Starmer has been shamefully silent, whilst enabling war crimes. Bases like RAF Fairford and RAF Lakenheath are the physical embodiment of Britain’s military alliance and nuclear subordination to the US. That’s why we need as many people as possible supporting our call to send the bombers home, shut down the bases, and kick out Trump’s nukes from Britain!”

NukewatchUK Watching Britain’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Nukewatch monitor and track the movement of British WMD’s from AWE Aldermaston and AWE Burghfield in Berkshire to RNAD Coulport on the West coast of Scotland. Nukewatch is not a membership organisation. It is a network of individuals who campaign against nuclear warhead convoys, mainly because they are part of a system of Weapons of Mass Destruction, but also because we believe that communities potentially affected by the convoys should be aware of their existence and the risks they pose. Nukewatch compiles an annual list of warhead convoy movements to help in monitoring the overall state and deployment of the UK’s arsenal of nuclear weapons. The Resources page has a summary of recent convoy movements. Sharing Information We think that it is important that Nukewatch continues to monitor the safety of UK nuclear warhead convoys, and that Convoy dangers are highlighted to the general public and those along its routes. We only put out detailed convoy movements in advance to our own network. As so many people are posting to social media about convoys they have seen Nukewatch now puts some information on Facebook and Twitter but not exact locations in real time.

Open Democracy on X – Hakluyt working with MI6. Who was Richard Hackluit – British Empire history – Wikispooks. Patricia Opulenza poem.  Hakluyt – The MI6 connection News clippings provide revealing details on the background of Hakluyt’s founders. Christopher James and Mike Reynolds are both former members of the British foreign service. Ex-MI6 chief Spedding is said to have given his blessing to Hakluyt as a company, as is the foreign secretary..[12] Reynolds founded MI6’s counter-terrorism branch and was the foreign service’s head of station in Berlin. This explains his impeccable spoken and written German and may also be the way he got to know Manfred Schlickenrieder. The newly appointed head of MI6, Richard Dearlove, is a close friend of his. James led a section of MI6 that liaised with British firms. Over his 20-year career he got to know the heads of many of Britain’s top companies. In return for a few tips that helped them compete in the market, he persuaded them to pass on intelligence from their overseas operations, industry sources told Management Today. After the Cold War, James argued that MI6 should expand this role. But others in the organization feared this could be mistaken for ‘economic espionage’. He left MI6 in 1995, taking his intelligence work private. Hakluyt’s management board is a display case for the kind of reputation the company is aiming for. One member was Ian Fleming’s model for James Bond—the former soldier, spy and diplomat Sir Fitzroy Maclean. And the company is linked to the oil industry through Sir William Purves, CEO of Shell Transport and chairman of Hakluyt; Sir Peter Holmes, former chairman of Shell and current president of the Hakluyt foundation (a kind of supervisory board); and Sir Peter Cazalet, the former deputy chairman of BP, who helped to establish Hakluyt before he retired in 2000. BP itself has longstanding ties to MI6: its director of government and public affairs, John Gerson, was at one time a leading candidate to succeed Sir David Spedding as chief of MI6. It is important that NGOs and other pressure groups trying to assess possible threats remember the close ties between risk assessment companies and the government intelligence community. Some larger and older companies, such as Control Risks, may have grown away from direct links to government, which could explain the market for new agencies with more recent connections, like Hakluyt. Such firms have the necessary knowledge and techniques at their disposal, either through their own experience, their staff ‘s experience, or direct contacts. This can have consequences for the way they investigate their clients’ adversaries; as in the Schlickenrieder case, they might use infiltrators posing as activists or dedicated journalists, and they might have access to classified intelligence information. The specialty of privatized spying shops goes beyond PR consulting or spin doctoring into the rather vague terrain of intelligence operations, which can be used in both gathering information and setting up stings. From the Financial Times to Hakluyt According to Intelligence Online, Mark Huband joined Hakluyt in the summer of 2006, after a long career in journalism in the United Kingdom – he worked for the Guardian, Times and Financial Times. Huband had long specialized in Africa and the Middle East, where he was based for years for the Times and Guardian (he was one of the few newsmen to cover the American intervention in Somalia in 1993). Since 2003 he had reported on defense, security and “terrorism” for the Financial Times. Huband, who left the newspaper last year, won’t be the first journalist to work for Hakluyt, Intelligence Online knows. A number of former British and Australian newspaper and television correspondents are – or have been -on its payroll.

BBC – Lebanese journalist killed by Israelis. Israel deliberately targets Lebanese journalist killed in IDF air strike during ‘ceasefire’ Amal Khalil was a journalist with the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar Lebanon’s prime minister has accused Israel of war crimes after Israeli air strikes killed one journalist and wounded another in southern Lebanon on Wednesday. The strike killed Amal Khalil, who worked for a Lebanese newspaper, and injured freelance photographer Zeinab Faraj. Officials in Lebanon say they were deliberately targeted as they sought shelter in a home after an initial air strike hit the vehicle in front of them, killing two men. The officials also accused the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) of intentionally targeting a marked ambulance as it tried to reach the journalists in the village of Tayri. The IDF denied that it was preventing rescue teams from reaching the area and said it did not target journalists. Journalists Khalil, 43, who worked for Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, and Faraj, a freelance photographer, were travelling together. The two men who died have not been named by officials. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said: “Targeting journalists, obstructing access to them by relief teams, and even targeting their locations again after these teams arrive constitutes described war crimes.” He accused Israel of repeatedly targeting media workers in southern Lebanon in what he described as “an established approach”. Salam offered condolences to Khalil’s family and said that Lebanon would “pursue the crimes before the competent international forums”. In a statement, the IDF said it “does not target journalists and acts to mitigate harm to them while maintaining the safety and security of its troops”. The IDF said it identified two vehicles that had “departed from a military structure used by Hezbollah”. One of the vehicles had approached Israeli troops in a manner that was an “immediate threat” after crossing a “forward defence line”, violating a ceasefire, the statement said. The IDF said the Israeli Air Force then struck one of the vehicles, and that the “structure from which the individuals had fled was also struck”. The Lebanese health ministry said the IDF “pursued” Khalil and Faraj, “who had taken refuge from the first raid in a nearby house, targeting the house where they had sought shelter”. When a Lebanese Red Cross ambulance arrived to treat the wounded, Israeli forces directed a stun grenade and gunfire toward it, preventing it from reaching them, the ministry said in a statement. “This constitutes a blatant double violation: obstructing the rescue efforts of a citizen known for her civic media activism, and targeting an ambulance clearly marked with the Red Cross emblem,” the health ministry said. Clayton Weimer, the executive director of Reporters Without Borders, said the IDF had received messages from the organisation, as well as journalists, asking that it allow ambulances to get to Khalil. “The Red Cross signalled they were unable to get through because of ongoing Israeli bombardment. So that is callous disregard, on top of what appears to be a deliberate and targeted killing of a journalist.” Faraj was eventually evacuated along with two of the dead, the statement added. Khalil’s body was later recovered by emergency teams, according to Lebanon’s civil defence agency. On Thursday morning, journalists gathered at Martyrs Square in Beirut to remember her in silence.

Shahzad Akbar, anti corruption Minister under Imran Khan in Pakistan, on how paid thugs have attacked him and his house in UK, and how attacks on dissidents from other countries is common in UK. Three men charged after ‘highly targeted attacks’ against Pakistani dissidents Alleged attacks took place in Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire against two prominent supporters of jailed former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan Three men have been charged after a series of “highly targeted” attacks against two Pakistani dissidents living in Britain. Police carried out a series of seven raids and arrests this week in London, Essex and the Midlands after four attacks, which began on Christmas Eve. The attacks took place in Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire against two prominent supporters of the jailed former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan. One of the victims, human rights lawyer Mirza Shahzad Akbar, a former member of Khan’s cabinet, told the Guardian he had been punched up to 30 times by a man who knocked on his door and checked his identity. Counter-terror police (CTP) said it took over the investigations from local police because of the “highly targeted nature” of the attacks. On Friday, CTP London said three men had been charged, and all are British nationals. Karl Blackbird, 40, from Bedworth, has been charged with conspiracy to assault occasioning actual bodily harm in respect of two alleged attacks on 24 December. Clark McAulay, 39, from Coventry, has been charged with conspiracy to assault occasioning actual bodily harm over an incident in Chesham. Doneto Brammer, 21, from Wood Green, London, has been charged in connection with the alleged attack on 31 December at Akbar’s home in Cambridgeshire. Brammer is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life, and conspiracy to commit arson being reckless as to whether life would be endangered. All three men were charged on Friday and will appear at Westminster magistrates court on Saturday. Police had arrested a man aged 34 in Essex on 5 January, who was released on bail. On Wednesday, five more people were arrested, including three of those now charged. Other arrests took place of a man, 30, in Birmingham and a woman, 40, in north London, both of whom have been released on bail. The seventh arrest on Friday was of a 25-year-old man who was arrested in Warwickshire and remains in custody in a London police station. Counter-terrorism detectives say they also carried out a series of searches, with four in Birmingham, one in Coventry, one in Warwickshire and two at sites in London. Police said the investigation continues and added: “Detectives are keeping an open mind as to any potential motivation behind the incidents. Officers are also keeping an open mind as to whether any of the incidents are potentially linked, and this remains an active line of inquiry being considered.” Akbar, 48, told the Guardian he was in hiding after the attacks: “They are trying to scare and intimidate me, and I am pretty scared. I fear for my life and for my family’s lives.” The human rights barrister added: “I am a Pakistani dissident living in exile here. I am an open critic of the Pakistani regime, which is backed by the military. “I cannot say who did it. However, one thing is certain: it was a targeted attack and the people who attacked were probably hired by someone.”

From the top down, our mainstream media, police, political parties & intelligence services are being compromised by feudal banksters, secret societies and the mafia. Key people intimidated by psychopathic black magic types and their pliable drones who will even kill to take over positions of power? Just search for “John Scarlett” and “Dodgy Dossier” and you’ll see what I mean. The Zionists are every bit as fundamentalist and twisted as the leaders and followers of ISIS.
